I was born in Italy and I used this cologne for nearly 40 years ! When I relocated to this country I forgot about it until, by pure chance, I found it online; what a surprise ! The Acqua di Selva cologne is exactly as it was in my youth (I'm 62 now) and I was so pleased to be able to buy it again. It's a great product, reasonably priced, promply delivered in an unbreakable package. I highly recommend it to anybody looking for a different, very fresh and dry cologne or after shave. Acqua di Selva means literally "Water of the Forest" and has a subtle scent of ferns and pine. It also lingers forever and a little drop really goes a long way. If you want to "smell" cool, fresh and clean this is the cologne for you.

A sworn personal favourite cologne , I have worn Acqua Di Selva since I first discovered it in a barber shop, in Carshalton , Sutton, UK , in 1965. It is by now firmly stamped into my DNA.I recall observing it, as a prop, in an episode of The Saint in Simon Templar's bathroom cabinet and similarly in association with Peter Sellers as Inspectpr Clouseau around the same time, both ringing endorsements , to my mind.Also one time , many years ago while skiing in Selva in the Dolomites, the product displayed in many of the town's shop windows appeared to have , almost 'religious' promotional significance.I love the aroma .. however .. I too believe the fragrance has been subject some degree of mutation through the years,

I just happened to remember the name of this product after smelling it on a friend in the 80's !I was pleased to find it and thought I'll have some of that,I wasn't disappointed.This is a reasonably less common cologne than all the usual ones today, as far as know it is not that easy to get in shops either? (It originated in 1946,with the original manufacturer called Victor).It has a subtle very fresh fragrance described to me as 'mossy'. I can detect a lemony/pine scent that is very clean and I think very nice for the warmer months, to me its suggests Summer.Then I pick up a fresh spicy aroma that is masculine without being overpowering.Only criticism I would have is the fragrance doesn't appear to last longer than a few hours,

This Cologne has been around for many years yet is relatively unknown and therefore hard to find.It is a very masculine fragrance but with a woodsy/citrusy/fresh smell. This is a 'clean' and refreshing cologne and I think it is one of the nicest 'niffs' that my husband has yet to try. I have used it in the past as personally I think some of the mens colognes smell nicer than a lot of womens perfumes.

Yes I know its a mans aftershave/colonge,but I love the smell and it also smells great on men.Its been going for years and I could only get it in Selfridges,I honestly never thought to look on Amazon.............but I should not have doubted this wonderful on line store.If you like a fresh zesty smell look.no further.Please keep stocking it >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Just bought yet another bottle. Fell in love with this fragrance when I was 16. It's unbelievably been around since its release in1949 - so it's still being sold for a very good reason. Totally unique. Other aftershaves has come and gone; I still keep going back to Acqua De Selva. True class is absolutely timeless. ??

It still smells the same as it did nearly 40 years ago, although the smell doesn't last as long as it used to but I think the same goes for a lot of colognes these days.It will always remind me of my stepdad so to me it's more a sentimental journey back in time, and I love it.

Product is just what I wanted, shame about it taking 3 weeks to get to me. had I have know it was to be shipped from the USA I would have bought from another supplier. Thyey said they'd fully refund me, a nice gesture, but it was 2 weeks since the gesture - no refund yet.

This used to be stocked by a local Chemist and has been a favourite of my Husbands for years. Can't find it on the High Street any more and had to track it down on the internet. It arrived the day before the first estimated due date. Excellent service, thank you.

This was a favourite of my dad in the 1970's and it still smells great! Have been casually surfing the web for it over the decades with no luck and then wham bam here it is! He loves it! The bottles hardly changed too- so classic. Very pleased.

This is just the best after shave/cologne there is, I use it as perfume/ Highly recommended it use to be sold in all the best shops very hard to find now and not so popular probably because it is not on show but I just love it

thought i would never see this aftershave / cologne again as i used it in the the late sixties and early seventies and used to be made by victor. still has the same fresh smell as before and is a pleasure to use again

We all loved this when myself and my colleagues smelt this when it arrived in the post. A lovely reminder of days gone by. Loved the lemony aroma and a lot cheaper than some of today's trendy smellies. Recommended

I’ve bought this several times now and my male friend has loved it. I think this is the fifth bottle I’ve bought. Always give it as a present for his Birthday,Christmas and when he’s helped me out. He adores it

This was sold at Thackeray 's mens clothing shop in Northampton in 1970-1980.Great fragrance and wonderful memories of the good old days.The scent is exactly the same but not so long lasting on the skin. Mike
