This is a fine china salad bowl and part of Villeroy & Boch’sNewWave range. It coordinates well with the other pieces and the only thing to bear in mind is that it is a large item, so may present some storage issues. I liked it sufficiently to buy more for use on the buffet table - fruit salad, pasta salad, leafy salad, couscous and so on. The china is light enough that stacking more than one on a shelf won’t add significant weight and they stack neatly.

I can never fault anything from this range of tableware and the covered vegetable dish is no exception. It is basically a large version of the sugar bowl / jam pot and it IS an excellent size. I intend to buy a couple more in the near future but as they are not cheap, you need to hunt around. In this particular instance, Amazon had the best price. Although I have mentioned this in other reviews, the quality and style is superb.

I absolutely love these bowls! If you like something different and quirky but yet simple this is the collection to go for, most competitive price, delivery was super fast ordered at night and received two days later, all bowls were greatly wrapped with no damage to any bowls. Very happy with my purchase! I now have the bowls, gourmet plates and super stylish mugs! Love them all

These bowls are well made and stylish in appearance like everything else in the New Wave range. It is larger than I expected but that is fine as I like preparing large quantities of salad. It could also be used as a fruit bowl or an uncovered vegetable dish - New Wave items are so versatile :-) It is fairly heavy, but that is due to its quality.

We use this bowl as a fruit bowl and it always gets lots of complements. It's perfect for keeping bananas separate to other fruits. It is a little to large for our dishwasher but washes easily in the sink between uses. Fairly hardy and a good addition to any kitchen.

Bought as a wedding gift to complement part of a dining service. The recipients I'm sure will be delighted with this quality addition to their set.

Stylish looking bowl, quite deep and very white. Purchased it for use as a veggie bowl, which is just perfect for sprouts and baby corn.

Have four of these now which fit into the big platter dish or they are great to use on their own. Great for nuts party foods, etc.

This is a top notch bowl, it makes eating my home cooked porridge a pleasure, I'm going to get another one.
