These Villeroy & Boch mugs are simply beautiful and their design makes an end of meal coffee just that little bit more special, although they are equally suitable for tea or an indulgent hot chocolate (with the addition of some cream and a flake...).The mugs are made of porcelain and they blend in well with other V&B china I have from other ranges. These are the right-handed version of the mug so be careful if offering to left-handed guests as the curve along the top of the cup prevents easy drinking from the other side. A left-handed version was produced in the past but I haven't yet been able to source one for sale, even direct from V&B, although I am still searching.The handles are very stylish yet are comfortable to hold,

It’s all about the look of these cups - you wouldn’t be buying them if it wasn’t. They are slightly trickier to hold than a standard cup and they don’t hold as much drink - but they look amazing. Have purchased 4 times now - they are expensive, but this is the best price I can find. XL mug is the size you would use for a cup of tea / regular coffee - have added a photo with a small box of cereal to give an idea of size.

very stylish , everyone who has had a brew in one of these beautiful mugs, has always commented on them! they are definately an eye catching talking point. I love them so much I'm going to get the gormet dinner plates as well. A little expensive, but quality is worth paying for I think. I'm going to buy a little at a time and build up my set, just like my Grandmother did!

This was a replacement for a breakage but I like them so much, I wanted to keep a full set. I have arthritis in my hands so personally, I find them so easy to hold. They are very stylish and visitors always admire them. But they are not for everyone, if you like to switch hands when drinking for instance, they’re impossible.

A bit expensive for a mug but well worth it for the design. I just love looking at them on the shelf. It’s definitely the design that drew my eye to them.The drink doesn’t taste any different but the design makes it feel special.Make sure you choose left or right handed when ordering.

I know, it's just a mug. However, it is a thing of beauty. The handle makes it great to hold - it has really nice balance and it makes it a pleasure to drink from. If you are interested in the aesthetics and design of products, you really should own one of these.

Very stylish and eye catching, looks even better full of steaming coffee or hot choc:-). Fits snugly in your hand. If you intend buying the party plate to match be aware that you probably need the large size as it seems a little wobbly on the smaller one.

Very "on trend" mugs as seen on 2 reality TV shows recently. Would have been 5* but with the rising mug top easy to overfill and spill plus the weight distribution takes a bit of getting use to. If you can put up with this then yes buy them!

Bought a few of these as a gift for my mum - she's not normally the type of person to put things like mugs on display but she's bought a mug tree so she can show them off, and all her friends have commented on how lovely they are.

These were purchased to replace a broken one and increase the number I have. I find them really stylish but my husband says he can't drink out of them. I still like them but they are a bit on the pricey side for a mug.

Very stylish and admired by friends. Delivery packaging was very poor, mug rattled round in huge box with badly taped sides and gaping holes where the sides didn’t meet. The first one I ordered was cracked on arrival.

I love the Villeroy and Boch Newwave line and am slowly building up a collection. Pretty pricey but good quality, eyecatching and gets a lot of comments. Love these cups and the matching saucers and spoons.

I bought this for my husband after he had been served his coffee in one of these at a local restaurant, he was so taken with the mug that he asked to buy it in the restaurant without success.

Lovely mugs. They look fabulous although it is tricky for left handed people to use them which I'd not really considered!We are very happy with them though, so would definitely recommend
