These are individual dip bowls and yes, they are small. However Villeroy and Boch offer a range of dip bowls of varying sizes, of which this is one of the smallest. They are ideal for dips which would be used in small quantities, for example very spicy dips or those which have strong flavours and it would be a waste of space using bigger bowls for those type of dips, unless they are for sharing. They are not intended to keep credit cards in as the previous reviewer implied, lol.The bowls are heavy-ish for their size, because of the lead content in the crystal and are of an attractive shape, like the rest of the New Wave range.

Hello,For everyone buying this product!The Villeroy & Boch is an expensive company and the products are made to be used for those who know the company and its style.Therefore, please look at the product information before buying. This bowl is for EATING DESSERT NOT FOR KEEPING FRUITS IN IT!I am not an advertiser for the company and I don't know them, but I'm a fan of Villeroy and Boch and when I see amateurs buying these products without reading carefully, i get annoyed!!

I had been looking for a bowl that I could use for Trifle & when it’s just for two people most are muck too large, this is the just right size also will have many other uses.

The size was a big disappointment,wanted something larger for holding fresh fruit.Bowl was quite nice tho so have kept it for holding pot pourri instead.

Unusual shaped glass bowl, not too large. I use it for tomatoes which add a splash of colour too. Good quality, excellent purchase.

I bought this to use as a terrarium due to its unusual shape. Its vvery well made and perfect for the use I purchsed it for.
