This is a very nice stylish knife that is significantly better than your average Victorinox Swiss Army Knife.Of course for starters, you are getting a lifetime guarentee as this is a Victorinox product. So if it every stops working or gets jammed, you can send it to a Victorinox dealer (for free) and it will be repaired free of charge.The knife itself has a sharp blade and there are also lots of other very useful tools. The scissors on this are serrated and are consequently better than the scissors on my cheaper Victorinox Swiss Army knife.The wood looks very nice and stylish. It is also indented in areas so to give it better grip when you are using the knife.

I've owned this for a month or so now and it is probably the nicest Swiss-Army knife I've had. Not too madly thick but with a great range of tools. I have to have a corkscrew, a bottle opener, scissors, a flat screwdriver and a Phillips screwdriver. The S557 adds some really neat pliers, a spanner tool and a locking blade to this, all of which are great (plus a reamer and a can opener). The only thing I miss is a pair of tweezers. Perhaps they can't make the slot for them in this wood version, but the wood finish is beautiful. There's a small keyring which I put a carabiner through to hand the knife (in my pocket) from a belt loop.

A lovely knife with the wood carved to fit your fingers perfectly. As this is the evo, some of the mechanisms have been upgraded, most noticeably the scissors and pliers spring. This is now a part of the knife negating the need to replace the flimsy thin springs of old. They are a big improvement so I am surprised that this is not mentioned in the item description.A very well made, well kitted out knife.

Very neat multitool wit han amazing variety of quality functional tools. The wooden sculpted scales feel more luxurious than the usual red plastic ones. There is one major drawback: the blade locks when fully open, makng it illegal to carry on one's person or even in a vehicle in certain countries. So, check the law in your country before purchase.

Very happy with the finish and function of the Victorinox Evolution Wood S557 Swiss Army knife. All tools seem to be well made and the blade sharp out of the packaging. The wooden trim certainly adds character to this pocket toolbox.

Bought as a father's day present from my husband and he loved it . Very well made and excellent quality.

Quality knife as you'd expect from Victorinox, Wood just give it that extra quality feel.
