This is a difficult review to write for my Amazon readers because Vichy Laboratories has not been forthcoming about the ingredients of their Magistral Elixir. This is all the information that is provided on Magistral Box: “Contains a unique blend of oils rich in 10% Omegas 6-9 to immediately nourish the skin with moisture and help replenish skin with essential lipids. Paraben-free.” Folks, that’s not good enough. With some difficulty I found that the Magistral Oil contains Safflower Seed oil, Rice Bran Oil, and Shea Butter. OK, that’s better, but still not enough. Additionally, much of the box containing the Magistral oil is written using the Cyrillic alphabet. Vichy is a French company owned by L’Oreal.

As odd as it may seem I need skin replenishing oils for my lower arms. I’ve gotten lucky with my facial skin and the gene pool as dealt me a winning hand as far as dryness and wrinkles are concerned. What is the sad “tell” for me is the thinning of the skin on my lower arms. “Old Lady” skin for sure. Just like my mom, I now have bumps, bruises, peeling spots, discoloration and generally skin so thin that every bump leaves marks. I was very impressed that with one week’s use of this Vichy Neovadiol Elixir I’ve already seen improvement.The product is made in France but the packaging has dual English/Cyrillic wording so I’m assuming that the company exports both to the East and the West.

I am really enjoying this Vichy Vichy Neovadiol Elixer. I like it because it's a dry oil and it replenishes my skin quickly. When I first tried some on the back of my hand when I first received the bottle, I looked at my hand sometime later and my skin was smooth and silky and younger looking from just testing it out. Where I really see a noticeable difference with this oil is around my eyes, on my neck and chest. This has a soft fragrance and a pretty bottle with a little dropper and a tiny bit of oil is all that is needed. I've tried dryer oils before and this one is my favorite so far. My skin absorbs it quickly and this works doubly well if you use it with a Vichy Vichy moisturizer,

This stuff is pretty amazing. I always use an cream/oil of some sort on my face before bed, but never anything as expensive as this. This just might have won me over.The elixir is so smooth and luxurious feeling and really coats the skin. The great thing about it is it soaks in very quickly so you're not left with a residue that can smear on clothing or pillows. I often times use coconut oil on my face at night, but that takes a long time to soak in and can leave residue on pillows and sheets. This stuff is absorbed pretty quickly though, so I don't have any trouble with that.I feel like I noticed a difference in my skin pretty quickly after using it. I already have a regular face regiment of oils/lotions/exfoliations,

Being a woman of a certain age, actually a few years more than a certain age, I know that products such as Vichy Vichy Elixir are not going to give the same results as an invasive cosmetic procedure. But they can give some temporary positive results when applied, such as softer feeling skin and the minimizing the appearance of lines and wrinkles. That is certainly the case with the Elixir, as upon application I noticed that my lines were not as noticeable. The Elixir has a nice feeling on the skin because it is not greasy. I use the dropper to deposit the Elixir on the palm of my hand, then use my fingertips to apply it to my face, forehead, and neck. There is only a faint scent which disappears upon application.

I love this Vichy Vichy Neovadiol Elixer. I'm not a girly girl and don't really have any set beauty routines and if not for getting this stuff to review I would most likely have never tried it or even heard of it before. But I am glad I didn't miss out on this. I have very sensitive skin and most things that I put on my face causes me to either break out in acne, or causes my skin to look raw and chapped.I really didn't have any expectations that this would be any different, but I am happy to say that it is. My skin is more plump and soft and smooth and it really does look younger. I'm 52, and this may be the first real girly beauty routine that I hang on too. When my bottle is gone,

I like volcanic water (I've used products with it), which is part of this anti-aging elixir. We tested it and we like its potency--you only need a couple drops to smooth on your forehead or to mix with (my favorite) hyaluronic acid cream or whatever day/night cream you prefer. Have not tried it as a mask but look forward to using it underneath a Japanese rice paper mask for ten minutes.This is non-oily, creates a glow (I notice a difference), and contains great ingredients such as safflower seed oil, rice bran oil and shea butter. The product definitely feels French (albeit with instructions inside the package in English and Russian). Luxurious and feels wonderful on your skin.

after one week of use this product is working better than expected. I usually write reviews with a list of beneficial attributes and negative attributes but I have no negative attributes so far.1 non-greasy, absorbs into the skin easily, leaves a very nice moisture that holds for a long time leaving the skin feeling velvety.2 no smell3 has not removed wrinkles but has this diminished them, meaning it's diminished the intensity of them.4 very good packaging that allows one drop to be pumped out at a time, one drop is all that's needed per application, bottle should last many months possibly a year.5 have not experienced breakouts like with other products

The Vichy Vichy Neovadiol Elixir is easy to use. I will be honest and say that the bottle confused me at first through. I kept pressing the white top thinking it was a dispenser button. So, if you buy this know that you need to unscrew the top and it is an eyedropper dispenser. After that confusion, I used this product by dispensing a few drops into my hands and then rubbing it on my face under my moisturizer. It softened my skin. When I tried it alone, however, it made my skin feel oily and broken out. I also like this as a mask. Alone though, not so much. If you're looking for a product to make your facial skin nice and smooth, this is the one to grab.

This is oil based and gives the skin an instant protective layer and adds soft silky feeling. It smells like mineral oil to me. Comes in a yellowish clear bottle that says keep out of direct sunlight. They might want to sell it in a brown bottle if they want to protect it from light. It has a push top dropper, you only need a small amount. After using it a few weeks I can say I have had no skin break outs or irrational from it. Will continue using through the dry winter months, might be to oily in warmer weather. I use other face products and haven't noticed any changes besides the soft skin. I do like that it keeps the skin from getting dry and itchy.

This oil has a very light flower like fragrance. The fragrance is very sweet and gentle. I have three autoimmune skin diseases and they have left my forearms a wreck. I am constantly putting a moisturizer on them. Also because I am 69, almost 70 they are tissue paper thin. If I don't watch out, I snag my skin.After I applied the oil to my forearms, they did seems to have a light coating of oil. So now they are nor dry.My only question is the disclosure about the ingredients. Since my skin is so very thin I would like to know more about what is in it. Will long term use of it everyday be alright for me?

I've been using this product for a few weeks and I can actually feel the improvement in the texture of my skin. Normally, around the mid fall season, my skin begins to dry and Crack and no amount of creams or lotions help relieve the discomfort. After trying this serum, I see an instant improvement with my skin and it's become softer than its been in a very long time. Also not a lot of product is needed, so it will last you a very long time! This serum shouldn't be limited to only a particular age group and should be advertised for the use of woman of all ages. Will be purchasing again!!

I've been using this serum for about a week and have noticed that the fine wrinkles on my face have started smoothing out. It's a very light oil and my skin absorbs it quickly. I've been post menopausal for 5 years and noticed my skin is getting thinner and showing signs of aging. My arms have especially started looking "old". I've been applying the serum to one forearm and not the other so I could see if it makes a difference. After a week, the arm with the serum does look a little less wrinkled than the other. I plan to continue using this product.

This is a very light oil that absorbs well into facial skin and does not leave any sort of oily feel or residue. It has a lovely, light flowery scent, which I also enjoy. I am using it as a night moisturizer and also under foundation. It leaves the skin feeling smooth and silky. I have sensitive skin, small pores, and classic T-zone so I omit using it on my forehead. This definitely compares quite favorably with other high end products; so far I am liking this immensely. If anything changes I will update this review

I will probably only use this product in the winter time when my face is dryer. I'm afraid of making my face too oily otherwise, as the description says for normal-to-dry skin. I'm pretty much only using this on my forehead and cheeks for now, and the effect is immediate. It goes on very smooth and is absorbed right away. A little bit goes a long way. I'm younger than the target 45, but have a spot on my forehead that I'm looking forward to seeing if prolonged use helps.
