These headphones arrive simply packaged – and consist of black ear sets and red rubberised flat cabling.I find the headset is comfortable to wear – a selection of three sizes of headphone earpieces mean a comfortable fit should be achievable for most people. Once on/in (over ear loops with in ear buds) they are not going to be easily dislodged by over-exuberant movements during gameplay.Soundwise they are reasonable for this price point – certainly adequate for the job. To my ears they are more capable with treble over bass. Some experimentation with the source can improve things – but only so far.My primary criticism from a PC perspective is the length of the cables – they are rather short.I’d prefer another 50 – 100 cm. However if you’re sitting in front of a console or have a 3.5mm headphone socket on the front of your PC – this may not be a problem. As I don’t play any games which require/use a microphone I did not get to experiment with that. However I found that the headset and mic worked perfectly well with my phone (iPhone SE) – and the voice/mic quality seems fine.Although it feels and looks reasonably well made the headset feels a bit fussy/fiddly but I can’t really put my finger on why this is. The microphone element is good in that the mic can be plugged in/out (so if you’re not using it it’s not there). The two “in line” controls provide for a mic mute/unmute and a volume slider. Although the switches are quite close to the (left) earpiece and so not really visible – they are easy enough to adjust by touch – which of course is what you want from a gaming perspective.Bottom line – for adequate gaming sounds on a reasonably low budget these will do the job. If you need a cable length of more than 120cm – look elsewhere or you’ll need a 3.5mm male/female extension.

Wired gaming headphone setup, with microphone, for when you don't want large cans stuck on your head or you're travelling (note: no travel bag in the box). The microphone itself is detachable and very flexible. It just plugs into the left earpiece and is easy to maneuver into the correct position. There's a small volume slider, that's quite stiff but then again you aren't going to knock it accidentally and get deafened. The red cable is thin and flat, probably the thinnest cable I've seen, but doesn't seem to affect sound quality. Also in the box is an extra-short cable, terminating in a 2.5mm jack so you can plug into your X-Box360 (a nice addition).Ear clips are soft and don't dig in,they hold the headset securely and once you have a good fit (two extra pairs of grommets for small, medium & large fittings in the box), you're rewarded with a punchy sound. Also, in-ear headphones block out a lot of external noise, so you don't need to have them up loud to get that all-immersive sound. After a day or two left to themselves with music constantly playing through them, the sound itself isn't bad. Good directional sound, that you'd want for gaming, but it's nothing great. You'd need to fiddle with equalisers to get a better sound from what ever music source you use.Not bad for the money.

Very comfy and have very good quality audio. Other reviews state the audio isn't particularly good on the bass, but I reckon they aren't using the correct size grommets for their ears. 3 different sizes are included, and I have used the largest for my ears, making sure they fill my ear canals completely so no sound can escape. This gives the fullest bass possible, and there is plenty with these. Enough certainly to give satisfying explosions and gun fire from my gaming. My over-ear phones made my ears ache after an hour's gaming, but with these there was no uncomfortable ache at all. I could happily play for hours with these. It's also handy having the buttons on the cable for mic mute and audio volume. However this leads me to my one and only negative - the volume, or rather lack of. On maximum, I can hear everything fine. It's just I'm so used to having louder volume from my over-ear phones. So just be wary - if you like it loud, you're going to have to look elsewhere. But hey, maybe these will stop me going deaf in 10 years time :D

This is a good, solid headset. It's wired rather than wireless, but the in-ear headphones fit in nicely. I like that the plastic attachment which curls around your ear is a bit spongy and flexible, rather than being rigid like other headsets. The build quality feels good and the sound quality is solid. I occasionally noticed a slight bit of background noise creep in when the headset is on, but generally it's good. I liked that there's a volume button on the mic, so if you're using this for a phone or there's a loud bit in a game, you can turn the volume down without reaching for the TV remote or phone. The microphone picks up your voice well. The cable is bright red, which may not be to everyone's taste, but it's pretty obvious from the box. The headset does come with a range of adapters for XBox 360 and it works with playstation, but annoyingly, you still have to buy the official adapter if you want to use it with XBox one, but this is true of all headsets. It also comes with a set of replacement earbuds, which is handy.

On first glance, the quality is basically reflected in the price. The basic packaging, and who uses it after once opened as its nothing to shout about, is not exactly ‘presentation’ box type of thing, but the actual item is not bad considering some I have seen of a similar specification (and much dearer cost) as the plastic construction is quite reasonable and robust, based on the price and once you sort out a pair of the ‘earplugs’ supplied you are then about done and its just left to plug it into your device. In use the sound is not all that bad coming from something this reasonably priced to be honest and has a good bass sound to them, the controls are a bit fiddly in use but manageable as it might be down to my big fingers(!)but perhaps the question is will it last? Based on initial use, I would think with a bit of care, this will give good service but as always it’s down to the end user and how they treat it. Overall for the price and the features provided, I give it five stars

For about £20, I find these to be very god value. All other gaming headsets I've seen are considerably more pricey, albeit with more sophisticated hardware. These are a simple, in-ear set similar to what you might get with a smartphone. They don't pretend to offer surround sound or configurable LED lights, but they do deliver stereo sound directly to your ears and allow you to talk to your fellow gamers online.Even though they're cheaper than most over-the-ear or on-the-ear headphones, one might still prefer to save up for one of those. These don't feel like they'll last the 5 or 6 years between consoles, the cabling is a bit too grippy and snags on clothes and the ear hoops can get uncomfortable during long playing sessions. Finally, the sound quality is only OK - not remarkable. If you're on a budget, they are fine, but if you think you might want to save up for better set, you probably won't regret going without these.

The Venom Universal In-Ear Stereo eSports Gaming Headset features over the ear headphones and a detachable microphone and inline volume control. The quality of the sound is ok for gaming but not so great for music. The headset works on my Playstation 4, Android phone and tablet and My Xbox 360. The headset is light, comfortable to wear and has variable size ear buds.Overall think this is a pretty descent budget range set up. Although I prefer over ear headsets, the light weight set is great to wearing for long online gaming sessions and doesn't leave your ears feeling overly warm after an extended use.The in line volume control is easy to use and accessible unlike some headsets I have owned where you have to keep taking the headset of to make adjustments.

This is the ideal headset for on the road. The whole package can fit into a small pouch in your laptop bag. Try doing that with some of the much larger sets.Earplugs come with a choice of three grommets to make sure that they fir and seal correctly. The microphone plugs in just by the left ear and come to an end just short of your mouth. Overall, very light. Connections are adaptable for whichever gaming device you are using. Volume controls on the cable are easy to use without having to look and check. The kit works well for gaming, commentating, presentations, some recording and Skype. Quality of the microphone is fairly good, but this is not a recording studio you are aiming for.Sound quality is good and more than adequate for playing in a hotel room.

For those who don't like them chucky headphones or can't get on with the single piece xbox/PS one, these are good......if they fit on and around your ears. the sounds is like from a pair of headphones that you have for an iPOD but they do what they should which is give great sound and stability. Will you be able to hear an adversary trying to silently kill you on COD? Sadly no, these are not those kind of headphones/earphones. Can you speak well to mates on party chat, yes you can and clearly too. these also work as just a pair of headphones to connect to your iPOD etc. So these are pretty quite versitile and reseaonably priced.

The great thing with this gaming headset is that it works with PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. It has a little adaptor for the PS4, which you just unplug should you want to use the headset with an Xbox instead. The issue I have with it though is that it can't be used with the first generation Xbox One controllers unless you have the adapter which lets you plug in the aux type cable. Also it can get tangled easily when stored away. Other than that it's great. The sound is great and there's a volume adjustment button which lets you change the volume at ease. So apart from two minor issues, it's a great product. Recommended.

Works well (includes a separate connector for XBox360) as advertised PLUS works with iPods and other portable music kits. The quality of the plastic is, at best, OK and, if used a lot, I would not expect it too last, especially with kids using it. However, it works effectively. The user will need to ensure there's a good in-ear fit in order to get any quality of sound, or else it's very tinny.Over all, it works, but I've seen and used better (but I've retained 4 stars as, for the price, they are good)

Single ear in ear speaker with an over the ear holder the gaming headset comes with a microphone and is quite compact in size. The speakers sound is good quality, rather than great or excellent, as it’s a tad bass light and treble heavy. The jack plug would fit any 3.5 mm jack socket and comes with a 2.5 mm XBOX adapter. Also included are different sized in ear grommets so you can pick the one most comfy for you...The microphone is also OK for the price this is a reasonable headset.

I cant fault the product. Worked just fine as a replacement in between me buying a new headset. Good sound. Mic worked fine in game no issues with echo and other gamers could hear me fine. A little adjustment with the ear buda to get best fit but it comes with 3 x other sizes for choice.Has been packed away ready for when I loose temper in game and sling my new head set across the room again.Would recommend as an alternative if over ear set doesn't suit user

Decent gaming headset but I'd probably refrain from using them for music as the writeup/other reviewers have suggested. The sound quality isn't too impressive (although perfectly adequate for gaming/voice)Microphone mute switch is a nice touch. Volume switch is a touch fiddly. It's a shame Xbox One requires a further adaptor before use although this isn't the fault of Venom. All in all, if you're after an in-ear gaming solution, I'd recommend.

This headset is ideal for both PC and Xbox One, Gamers alike. It has been 'road-tested' extensively by my games-mad (adult) son. He says it is very good quality sound and easy to use. When connecting the microphone to the headset and plugging the headset in to either the computer or the control the connection is snug and stable. My son now uses this in preference to his (former) headset!
