Used this for the first time at my nephew's wedding. Had no problems setting it up and it worked really well. My other monopod is a skinnier affair and the lowest segment has a slight tendency to slip in, so you suddenly find the camera drops when you're filming. This one has much stiffer clasps and feels much more secure. The unfortunate side effect is that it's a bigger, bulkier, heavier beast; but that's the trade-off and one that I'm really happy to make. The inconvenience of carrying it around is outweighed by its being so rock solid. Maybe on days when I'm not so certain of filming then I might think twice but for those days when you know that you're going to be filming on the move then it's a must.I'm 6 ft 2 in and another benefit of this monopod is the length that it extends to - no more stooping for me!Overall: quite a big item; but it's rugged and rock solid. Recommended.

This monopod does all that is required of it. I use it mainly to support a Canon 7D with a 400mm lens which I use in the African bush for wildlife shots. The monopod is light weight, but strong and rigid enough to provide a stable support. The longer than normal extension allows for comfortable eye-level use.All in all, well satisfied and very good value for money.

I can't honestly say, there's not much than can be said in all fairness. This is a great product, that does the job perfectly, for a good price. And to be honest, this is more than adequate, for any photographer. I'm 5ft 10ins, and i don't have to bend or squat, whilst it secures my D7000, and 18-300mm lens. So just buy one, screw it in, and happy snapping!
