I have been using veet for about 4 years since I was tired of getting stubble so quickly after shaving. Having used these same wax strips for such a period of time I can say that they do over time make your hairs lighter and they make your hair grow back more slowly and finer BUT you can't see this effect immediately. I notice the effect of waxing over a longer period of time.In terms of their effectiveness I believe they work well but they do not always pull out every hair but I think this is down to several factors:- One is my own technique isn't perfect.- Two I believe can depend on the room temperature, if the room is cold the wax stiffens a bit and as your leg hair won't be in a 'relaxed state'it is more difficult for them to be pulled out.- The last is I believe how 'fresh' the wax strips are. From my experience, the newer the wax strips are from their manufacture the better they work.(I have found that the 'fresher' the strips are and the warmer the room the less waxing hurts as well)When I bought these wax strips off this seller on Amazon it was because I believe paying £7 is the shop is way too much. (I buy them when I can when they are on offer etc). The main problem I believe there was with the veet strips from this seller was the third point (the strips didn't seem as fresh as they could be) But the strips still worked and pulled out the majority of the hairs. It is just that if I were in a shop I would try and buy the freshest as possible.Overall though, if you want to wax your legs or wherever else for a little less than the RRP in the shops it is worth buying your strips from here on Amazon.

I use these strips to wax my bikini area and legs and they work very well indeed. I'd say the results are as good as if not better than a salon wax. The strips go a very long way - if you're just doing a basic bikini line wax you really only need a couple of strips, and not many more if you're doing a full Brazilian. And, of course, you can cut the strips to whatever size you like before peeling them apart, which makes life really easy. Surprisingly, it doesn't even hurt very much and since the strips are quite large you can rid both your legs of hair in a relatively short period of time. It's certainly quicker than epilating or salon waxing, though slower than shaving. The place the strips don't work quite as well is the underarms.I think there are just too many contours in the underarm area, so you can't really rip the strips off quickly enough and loads of hairs get left behind along with quite a large quantity of pink wax. You can get quite a bit of the wax on your fingers during the waxing process, which is a bit sticky and messy, but it washes off fairly easily with warm water and soap. The manufacturers claims that this product can keep your legs smooth for up to four weeks. I doubt that you're not going to get any regrowth in four weeks, unless your hair is very sparse and slow growing. My bikini area usually remains stubble free for about two weeks after waxing with Veet strips, which is perfectly acceptable to me. I've never experienced any irritation or ingrowing hairs with this product, although localised redness is unavoidable straight after waxing. It always fades within 24 hours though, and

I have only just started waxing my legs and I am 27! In the past I have bought QVC raved about hot waxing "systems" which have not only burnt my skin, but ruined my bedroom carpet! I have also tried microwave wax which exploded, and sugaring which smelt like toilet bleach and wouldn't come off once applied. Professional waxing is far too expensive, so that was ruled out... You can say I have been an avid shaver, but even the razor turned against me, and my legs have been left red raw - NEVER a good look - and a constant necesity, shaving three times a week. After shaving to the bone one day, I took the plunge one final time and bought Veet cold wax strips. I simply rubbed the stips between my hands, seperated them and applied. I was nervous of the pain, but the results were so fantastic that it became mind over matter and I did half a leg (including the knee) in about 20 minutes - not bad for a first timer! I'm glad I bought a second box, because you do need a full box to do one leg!!! That is the only downside to this product unfortunately - otherwise it would have got 5 stars. The finishing wipes are fantastic too. They remove all the excess wax that is on your legs, moisturises them and leaves them feeling silky. You only need one wipe per leg, and you get 4 in a box. The results last around 3 weeks when you first start waxing, then up to 5 after several months of use as your hair roots start to deaden.A good tip in the summer is to store them in the fridge, as they are less effective when they are over warm and go a bit gooey.

I forked out £80 for an all singing and dancing epilator a couple of months ago and was about to use it for the 2nd time - during my second go I got so fed up of the pain and the time it took to do it at a bareable pace I reached for these that I bought from a 99p shop a few months ago. OMG it was soooo much quicker and better than any result I have got in a salon. I have been to leg waxing a lot and feel I know the technique well but these I would say were so easy, very little pain in comparison to salon visits. They are very sticky and the wax adheres really well to the hairs, I could use the strip 3 times. I used just over half a packet in total and I am v hairy!I'm suprised to see people are expecting no sticky fingers or mess with these, waxing is ALWAYS sticky somehow!Yes don't let the wax get too warm, I wouldnt recommend using any other heat source than body heat to heat them, I sometimes tuck one in my bra, knicks to warm up whilst I am using another one. I did get sticky fingers but not to an unacceptable or unusable level. I did use the epilator as it didn't clear 100% of hairs - but in my experience neither does salon waxing - it cleared about 90% of long hairs for me and the epilator got the rest. My bf did my underarms which were not quite as good but I believe will be next time and I am so pleased with the result on my legs I will def be using them for my bikini next time. I would say these with an epilator for those few stray hairs are the perfect combo for me.

Being a teenager, I have only recently started worrying about hair. I shave my legs, but I can't bare the thought of cutting my armpit. I was scared to wax, because of all the horror/pain stories, but evenually I took the plunge and brought a box of these. It was fine! I was expecting agony, but all that happened was a mild sensation - like it feels when you pluck your eyebrow, but quicker, because you're not doing each hair seperately. The first few times, a little strip of hair remained in my armpit, but I quickly learnt to bend my arm thus so, so all the hairs were caught. For the rare times that any is left, I use a tweezer. I use two wax strips on each armpit (one up, one down, to get all the hair)and it lasts for about 11 days. This means that a box lasts me about two months! So, in conclusion - armpits are fine. Really. It is honestly no worse than eyebrows, with this product. I'm still too scared to try my bikini line, and I'd rather shave my legs, but I can tell you that this wax is perfect for armpits.

I have been using Veet products for years and found the Veet wax strips are the best (was never a fan of creams). The strips are of a very convenient size, besides armpits and bikini line, I found I turn to them when I need to remove hair anywhere, including legs (since the bigger sized strips prove more painful and it is hard to keep the "ripping" angle right with bigger strips). All in all, this is my favourite Veet product, which also smells wonderful. Also, with the four wipes included, you can always use kitchen towel dipped in Baby Oil to remove any wax residue.I noticed a couple of other reviewers were not happy with the results. Unfortunately, waxing with strips takes time to master (unless you are lucky and it worked for you from the very first time!). Please do not despair - waxing is so much better than shaving - you literally go for WEEKS with smooth skin.

I find these work better than the manual waxing kits that you heat up in the microwave. They ensure the wax is spread evenly and the layer is the right thickness and there are no problems with over-heating of the wax. However, I suggest buying 2 boxes as strips quickly get wasted when not applying/removing from the leg properly, meaning that you may find yourself running out mid-way. This means that you also have enough to go over areas you may have missed. Also, there is not enough of the wipes in one packet for multiple sessions (this stuff is hard to get off with just soap and water!).I would recommend a bit of olive oil on a cotton wool pad as an alternative to the wipes if they run out.

Just used these strips for the first time, as I have not waxed before. They didn't hurt as much as I presumed, so this was a bonus. But a box of these did not manage to do both legs. They were quite sticky and you have to mind you don't get it on your fingers as it goes all over your hands. All in all good purchase, but I think I will use the slightly less expensive ones next time as £6.08 is a bit steep when it says it will do all these wonderful things. The prove they say is in the pudding, let's hope i don't have to try them again before I go away!

Wax strips are not the most efficient way of waxing. Sticky and quite hard to use on both scarcely hairy zones and overly hairy ones. They are still cheaper than professional waxing and quicker than hot wax. I would recommend to use baby talc powder for the armpits and bikini area to avoid bruising and unnecessary pain.Veet wax strips are alright as wax strips go. The "perfect finish wipes" are very pleasant to use and smell good.

This is excellent value if you know how to use it. I use it on "strategic" areas to please my girlfriend (i'm a boy). For excellent results, cut in smaller pieces, use a prewax cleaning product. Apply pieces in the direction of hair, press along three times and pull within 5 seconds of application against direction of hair. That's the difference between failure and success. With time you get results as good as in salons with this.

Best waxing strips out there. There are cheaper ones but the wax strip is thin, they don't get every hair, hair must be longer and you can only use each strip once.False economy. These strips get a good section of short hair, take every hair out and can use 4/5 times per strip. I get full legs plus 2 lots of both underarms from a pack with a couple left. Great value

I started using these over a different brand during the last lockdown and not being able to get to the salon.Yes they are sticky, yes they are a little fiddly but I found them so much better than another brand. Painless and gave good results. Will never get the same outcome as the salon but work well in the interim. Would definitely recommend.

Despite the negative reviews i gave these a go and am happy to report they did the job exactly as they are supposed to, lost count now of how many boxes of these i have been through but unless they change these for the worst i will keep on buying these, not a bad price on amazon either and they often are on offer

I was very pleased to receive these as I normally have my waxing done at a salon and obviously cannot visit at the moment. Very easy to use on my legs. Will definitely buy more if lock down continues.

They don't hurt all that much and they're pretty big :) It'd be good if they came with more wipes, though... And it hurts way less if you do it right after you've had a bath/shower (after drying)
