This is a beautiful small-mid size backpack that expands 4 liters to hold quite a lot of gear. You can compress it down thin, too, and its very comfy. The material is light weight but it also adds a lot of durability & nice to the touch. The zippers on the Wiz work smoothly, grasp easily and work flawlessly. Its very functional and sufficiently durable this way and it feels & looks nice. A+ on this, Vaude!This Wiz has a solid compression strap at the top (too bad there isn't another one near the bottom, too). The zippers, zipper pulls, padding, etc. are all adequate quality but not top line YKK. It has 2 side water bottle holders that hold about 17 ounce bottles. You could probably fit a 32 oz.in there but nothing holds it in place with just that stretchy material.The Wizard really excels in suspension. The back mesh panel for breathing is similar to the Osprey Hikelite only its much better on the Wiz because you can adjust the size to your torso and you can adjust the tension of the mesh for a true custom fit. Another excellent feature here is the waist strap. Its not a removable but it is very nice with a greater thickness than most and with brilliant hip hugging pads. They are light and not bulky with a perfect amount of padding that covers around your full waist sides so its really very comfy. There is also a nice little zipped pocket on the right side hip-hugger that is perfect to keep cash, change or keys in. There are keepers on all the straps for a clean look.It has decent organization inside the first large pocket. My iPhone 8, wallet, passport, 2 pens, iPad mini, keys and more all fit easily in this admin section. I would have liked one more of those slots to be wider and gusseted at the top but there is a zipped pocket there, too, that accommodates wider things so its ok. This admin section has a very deep well and a full size iPad fits easily. It even holds my MacBook 13" in this slot but its a tight fit there. I don't keep my laptop there. I note that it fits to give you an idea of the size of this pocket. You can put your computer in the larger pocket behind this one but there is no laptop slot. There is a slot for hydration though and that works much better because that area of the pack is curved to work with the mesh suspension system.There are no big negatives that I can see here. I wish it had more color options. I might get another but don't like red. Mine has nice two tones of darker blue, embroidered Vaude logo and a sweet rain coat for the pack on the bottom zippered pouch, too. It has reflective qualities and a little rope hook built in to hook it up to dry or attach a blinky light to.Hey Vaude, if you are reading this and want to make this beauty into a superb 'must-own' pack, here are some suggestions, as follows:1. Offer more colors like grey, olive drab, and darker khaki.2. Place another compression strap on the bottom & add a zipper pocket by a water bottle slot.3. Add a little zippered compartment for cash or keys on (with a clip) on one shoulder strap in front (like you did on the Updraft).4. Put a 6-8" zipped pocket in front for documents or quick access.5. Put a similar-sized 'secret' zippered pocket on one of the sides (maybe behind a water bottle slot?) to hold a wallet & passport.6. Add a scratch-free pocket at the top for shades and a cell (with a little divider built in to keep them from scratching each other).7. If you can't add a zip to one of the water bottle slots, at least make the tops of them gusseted and at a clip on to secure bottles.8. Use a darker colored foam in the shoulder padding so you don't see the white foam through the red mesh.9. Make your waist strap removable.

The backpack has a very good carrying system, which can be perfectly adapted to the wearer (even for relatively tall people). The large (divisible) main compartment is easily accessible from above. The opening is relatively wide. Part one the main compartment one can reach the lower part well from the beginning. Convincing spacious companion on day trips and in everyday life.

Trekking backpack with good load distribution even for more volume. The chest strap is adjustable so that it also fits women above the chest. The lap belt is broad and soft gepostert. The mesh back has a distance to the body, so you do not sweat.

My new backpack is spacious, super comfortable to wear and feels very light. Value for money is excellent. Therefore, I am completely thrilled, even of the great color. Highly recommended.

It's an awesome backpack, size is great, even for a 3-5 day trip. Color is beautiful. The camelback compartment can be use as a computer sleeve for a everyday use.

Really good and spacious bag that can be adjusted for all of us in the family, even my husband of 198 cm. Really comfortable to wear. Can only be recommended.
