I figure how you rate this item really depends on what you use it for, so briefly on me and my use: I regularly do multi-day hikes with a tent in high altitudes, or with a hammock in the forest. With this mattress I was hoping to get a sleeping mat that a) insulates well under extreme temperature conditions, b) is light-weight and of small pack sized, but sturdy/doesn't tear, and c) is easily (de-)assembled under conditions in which the mat cannot be put on the floor to facilitate furling/unfurling. I used this mat now multiple times over the past month under such conditions, in addition to some indoor sleepovers.+ The dimensions are perfect for my body size (180cm). Big enough so I can sleep comfortably, and small enough to be suitable for a narrow tent space.+ The mattress is an air mattress. This has negative points to it (on these below), but one big plus is that any and all terrain irregularities get smoothed out. So no matter how rugged the surface, I slept very comfortably.+ One more plus on the air mattress aspect: if it had an r-value (I think it doesn't have an official one attached), I venture it'd be a good one. I never felt any cold even with nearly frozen ground underneath.+ Despite being an air mattress, even when shifting weight or lying on the side my weight (85kg) was always distributed well and I never touched the ground with an elbow or similar.+ High quality material. So far no tears or similar (although I should mention that I haven't really put that to the test; I always treat it with a lot of care and avoid sharp rocks as surface), and it does not lose any air over night so far.+ The mattress is full with air after only approx. 10 deep breaths, also thanks to the easy-to-use one-way valve.+ The valve and the mattress borders/edges are fairly smooth, so if used in combination with a hammock you don't need to worry about tearing the hammock.+ Pack size and weight are excellent.+/- I didn't know what "primaloft filling" was when buying it, but it sounded to me like this mattress may be a combination of air mattress and foam mattress. This is not the case, as it is a 100% air mattress. This was my mistake for making erroneous assumptions, so no "minus" or "plus" here; simply an fyi so you are aware. I would have preferred a combination, because 100% air mattress means zero insulation in case of a tear, which can get dangerous when in the mountains. On the plus side however, a small repair kit is included which grants that needed safety.- My main issue with the mattress is that it's very noisy, even when tested in combination with several different sleeping bags. (Notice: "very noisy" for someone used to foam mattresses; I could imagine that the volume is "normal" for air mattresses.) If I would have read this before buying it I would probably have thought this point to be petty and not cared about it. However it turns out those squeaking and jarring noises, whenever you turn or move in the slighted way, really are a salient issue both at indoors sleepovers as well as in the otherwise so quiet mountains. So far no hiking partner or person at a sleepover did NOT notice and actively mention the noisiness of this mattress. People with a lighter sleep sometimes woke up from the noise.- When the valve is opened to release the air, you must furl the mattress with care and a bit of pressure to make sure that all air is let out and the mat fits inside its bag again. If you have no even ground on which you can roll up the mat with a bit of pressure (e.g. sharp rocks in the mountains), disassembly has to happen on your chest & stomach, which can be a bit cumbersome (but was always manageable). Conclusion: this is a truly excellent air mattress; cudos to Vaude. That being said, I wouldn't buy the mat (and maybe any 100% air mattress) again as I really mind the noise. Nevertheless, knowing that this may be a very minor point for others, and outweighed by all the otherwise good qualities, this is 4 stars.

It's thick (7cm) - and light (under 600g for L size) - and fairly warm (R value 2.6 or 2.7) - and packs really small.... Insulation is only on one side, so theoretically in summer, you could stay cooler. Haven't tried that yet.Way better than a foam pad, even if it costs you a few minutes rolling it up each day. Used it 3 nights so far & like it a lot.Valve works well. Pump sack makes it easy to fill. Much lighter than comparable brands.
