The value of wearing a good helmet was literally driven home to me when viewing the wreck of my previous Uvex helmet following a confrontation with a pothole - intact head but at the cost of my helmet, which sacrificed itself to take all the impact. I tried several different replacement helmets, but eventually returned to Uvex for 2 main reasons: Firstly, with arthritic hands I find those clasps where you have to push-in both sides to be impossible to deal with (Uvex have a slide-in, slude-out clasp which is fine for me); and secondly I find Uvex sizing slightly on the small size which just puts my small head into Uvex adult helmets and prevents me having to wear a kiddies helmet with Barbie or Spiderman on it.

High quality, charges, quickly, is bright enough from dusk onwards, comfortable, and has a good level of head coverage. Shame it’s so expensive!
