As a family we have played the traditional Uno card game for yearsbut this adds a brilliant new twist although the basic gameplay is the same and is easy to pick up. The playing cards are stored inside when not playing and there is an on/off switch on the bottom so very easy to store in a cupboard and the batteries won't run down (3xC).It is the differences to the original game that add to the fun. There are a couple of new cards:Swap Hands- you are able to swap your hand with another player, not always a good thing!Discard All- allows you to get rid of all cards of a particular colour.Press Cards- allow you to use THE BUTTON!"The Button" is located on the front of the machine and gives a clear "ping" when it is pressed hard enough- very useful when someone is trying to cheat!Sometimes no cards are dispensed from the machine (and you smile), sometimes there will be one or two (and you sigh) but sometimes 8 extra cards come winging their way to you (no tears now- you have to be a good sport!). I thought this would cause upset from the children but they liked the anticipation of seeing how many came out and never seemed to mind. This has endured now for a couple of years. It is suitable for any age from about 7 years and can be played by 2-10 players. We are still on our first set of batteries which I find amazing as it comes out of the cupboard pretty often. The machine still looks quite new and has stood up to wear and tear really well. I think the game has stayed popular with the whole family as although there is skill involved in how you play your hand there is enough element of chance to allow the children to play against adults competitively.

This is a great game for children of approx 7 years upwards and adults. It's nice that players of different ages and abilities can all play together. It does take a bit of time to get to know what the different cards mean but the automatic card dispenser introduces more of an element of surprise and chance so it is not purely about skill/ability. Our 7 year old boy loves it and fully participates in the game, our 3 year old can't play it but can still push the button for the card dispenser so even he can get a little involved in the game. It can get really exciting and Grandma and Grandad enjoyed it too. I would say it really needs a minimum of 3 players to get the best out of the game.A fantastic game for family holidays - highly recommended.

Uno Extreme is a definite improvement on the old version of Uno with just cards. The only real problem, is the dispenser. As I have played, the dispenser does occasionally get bunged up if you place too many cards in the machine, which can get annoying. You then have to take cards out, and keep pressing the button for more cards. Also, the dispenser does get a bit predictable after you have played for a while - firing cards every 3 or 4 presses. Enough of the negatives, Uno Extreme is a brilliantly fun party game or just round the table with family after dinner. You can make enemies and friends, and enjoy yourself for ages. That is, if you can make it work properly... :-)

As nobody else says - yes, it includes the UNO cards (2 packs). These packs include some special cards our classic UNO cards dont - you could still mix old and new cards though.Dont forget you will need 3xC batteries. The plastic card dispenser lacks rubber/felt feet and could therefore easily scratch a wooden table top - if your wooden dining table is decent - consider yourself warned (we have stick on felt feet bought in packs from Ikea for just such toys).A fun update on a classic family game for all ages. Worth the extra if you have kids as it adds the sort of excitement they expect from games today.

I purchased this for my grandson's 6th birthday as I had recently taught him how to play Uno (card version). I was dubious about him being able to use the extreme version and also other reviews highlighted that there was a problem with the cards becoming crumpled. Yes I think they could, as thats what happens to cards that are handled a lot, but not if treated with care. My other grandson who is 18 months younger soon got the hang of it. Its only draw back is that little hands could end up with loads of cards, this can be frustrating for little ones. A good game for all the family

We bought this last year for our daughter's seventh birthday, thinking it would be played once or twice then mothballed until Xmas. How wrong we were! It is played regularly, even causing the owner and her sister to help clear all their clutter off the table (drinks do tend to go flying in all directions when we leap about as our cards are fired out of the machine). It is a good introduction to the strategy needed for many card games, plus the kids love "ganging up" (especially against their dad for some reason) to try to make sure one of them wins!

I bought this game for my friend's 20th and she loved it. We couldn't stop playing it (we're all students of a similar age). It's fast, fun and a great laugh. The card button makes it really fun and more exciting. The only down point is that the batteries are expensive - my friend had to pay £8 which she did not appreciate! We played this many times as soon as we got it and the batteries did wear down quickly. Apart from that it's gone down really well and I would recommend it to anyone.

Uno ExtremeInitially the instructions for this game seem complicated but they are easily learned after a few rounds. It is a fun card game suitable for all the family, and the more taking part in the game the more fun it is. Once a child can read a number they can fully participate. There is a certain amount of skill involved and a bit of strategy. But there is loads of fun and that is the main component. So switch of the TV and have a game of Uno - you will soon become an addict.

I think, that Uno Extreme is the most fun cardgame ever that I have played. It develops mathematical skills and logical thinking, because you have to make a strategy to get rid of all your playingcard as soon as possible. You can play it with 2-10 people, but with only 2 it isn't as fun as with more people. The more the merrier! ;)I'm a total fan of this game and my friends, who played this once, are also fans now. They even bought one for themselves!

This was an old game, that no longer is made like this -so had to buy further a field to get this model. The game is brilliant!! It really is for everyone from 6 yearsplus. I mainly play it with family and have great fun. This game came from the states, but was well worth the wait! There will be hours of fun, watching the dynamics of the game changing and cards being fired out randomly!! It's a must for any home!!!

I first played this game at a friend of my mum one new years eve. It was great, much better than going out in the cold. There were about 7 of us playing it, all ages and i enjoyed it very much. Ive just bought it for my DSi from dsi shop and play it all the time. I am thinking of buying this uno extreme game for me and my mum to play in these cold winter evenings

This was a replacement for our original Uno extreme which I think we wore out. We love Uno in any variety. It is a brilliant family game and the Extreme version is probably the best fun. It goes on and on, just when you think you are winning you get a whole lot of cards and are back at the beginning again. Highly recommended for all ages from about 7 up.

This game is great. We have spent many hours playing it. The girls are in hysterics when 6 cards come flying out of the machine. The only downside we have found is that when the cards get a bit worn they re difficult to fit in the machine and also we have found with age the cards start to stick in the machine.Otherwise overall a great game

I just spent the evening playing this with friends (including the 10 year-old son of one of my friends), and we all had a great time. It's a very addictive game, and we couldn't get enough! It's definitely a good social game and is a nice twist on the original. I'd definitely recommend it, whether you've played Uno before or not.
