I’ve been buying the 10 pound bag every month since May 1st, 2019 (currently end of Feb 2020). I went from 170 lbs to currently 198 lbs. This is considered a massive gain as most people don’t gain more than 20-25 in an entire year.THIS PRODUCT IS NOT MAGIC AND YOU WONT GAIN WEIGHT IF YOU ARENT DIETING RIGHT. Eating 4,200 calories a day is pretty brutal if you’re eating only “real” food so this made hitting that goal obtainable.This is some of the cleanest weight gainer I’ve ever stumbled across,and this product goes on sale for $48/10 pounds which is absolutely a steal. Check other products and you’ll see they add more carbs and reduce the protein in their weight gainers. This product is way cleaner.While DEXA scans aren’t the most reliable, I did a scan in Sept 2019 and Jan 2020, and I didn’t increase my body fat % while increasing my weight by 17 pounds. I remained at 18% body fat.I’d highly recommend this product to anyone who is interested in bulking up cleanly and is going to take it rather serious (doing the right weight programs, dieting properly, getting the right macros, resting enough, etc.). It is a super clean way to supplement your diet and help you meet your goals.I'm going to add a couple of tips as of 12/2020: I'm getting close to my 20th purchase of this product and my review still stands that it is a great weight gainer.Some people say that the bag can be difficult to close with the zip lock. There is an easy fix for this. Grab a butter or steak knife and look at the seam of the bag. You'll see that the seam has some powder caked into the U-shaped seal. Just drag the tip of the knife in the wedge and it will remove the powder there, the bag will close easy now.I've been rotating between chocolate, vanilla and banana flavor bags. It can get old. I add cinnamon to the chocolate or vanilla shake and that mixes it up, or I add ground ginger into the vanilla and it becomes a new experience all over again! Cheers.

I have been reading how good this stuff tastes, but i was hesitant as usual. Universal Nutrition is one of my favorite companies because they actually do their best to deliver the highest quality product for the most inexpensive price. All of the products i have tried from this company have delivered results. This really is one of the last remaining companies that tries to satisfy its customers and not get filthy rich form them. With that being said, even though i was hesitant about buying "Real Gains", i went for it. I just received the product yesterday, and couldn't wait to try it out.First of all, the bag is huge! I am still amazed at the amount of product for the price! Amazing!So after i got back from the gym i ripped into this stuff and made myself a 3/4 serving in 5oz. Vit D milk and 5 oz. water. i have a cheap shaker bottle with one of those spring balls inside and this stuff mixed up perfectly!!! It reminds me of powdered creamer being mixed with coffee. After i mixed it all together, i was nervous about tasting this product. I can honestly say that i have never finished any protein powder or weight gainer i have ever bought. Most of the time i will give away about half the product because eventually i just cannot tolerate the way it makes me feel (car-sick). Well even though i have only tried 2 full servings of this stuff, i KNOW that i will finish this 10 lb bag! Even with 3.5 scoops of this stuff in 10 oz of liquid, it is still very liquid and not viscous at all! The taste is also unbelievable!!!!!! Actually, i find myself enjoying this so much that i drink it within 5 min. If you are looking for something that mixes well, actually tastes GOOD, and i don't mean "good for a protein or weight gainer", and has a great ingredient line-up, this is something you want to try.Granted, i have not been taking this product for long enough to see results, I will give it 5 Stars because Universal has ALWAYS delivered with their products for me.

This stuff is absolutely brilliant. I have used a few gainers and Universal Real Gains is my favorite. It has one of the better nutrient profiles out of the bunch to focus on building lean mass, and also one of the better flavors. I've had both Chocolate Ice Cream and Cookies and Cream, and they are both top notch flavors. I haven't found the Chocolate flavor bland like a lot of people say.As far as mixability, I just dump my scoops straight into a water bottle and shake it vigorously until lumps are gone, and it has worked for me everytime. I've also mixed it with plain white milk and chocolate milk for the extra protein and fat, and never had a problem there either.It doesn't upset my stomach,but most stuff doesn't, so your mileage may vary. I definitely recommend giving this stuff a try; buy a 3 pound bucket of it, fall in love, and sign up to get the 10 pounder as often as you need it.

currently still taking product , what i can rate and review so far is that from taking other mass gainers , and being some what a novice in the diet nutrition field . SO far the taste is great , now note , i dont expect a milkshake when i buy supplments its a slight water down chocolate taste which is fine, id also add compared to bsn gainer specifically and all gainers they require a large amount of serving almost a 1/4 to a half of the powder so when mixing u dont want to drink a half gallon just so its not all thick and nasty .. but with this product a reccomended serving and a standerd shaker bottle it mix so easily/ quickly . and no powder clumps with just under a minute of casual shaking...so as the rating goes 5/5 mixing 5/5 taste 5/5 digestion ( no bloat , NO GAS , )

I changed my protein powder from ON's whey to Universal for about 6-7 months now, and the results have been good. I have gained around 5- 10 pounds on and off without eating much meat, but having said that I have some issues with it. It makes me fart like no other protein powder did. It bloats your stomach and makes your farts more frequent. It is a proper meal replacement powder. I normally prepare a shake with two bananas, a cup of milk and two scoops of this thing for my first meal of the day. I am pretty happy with the results, and is definitely bang for your buck, considering the price and the amazon's subscribe and save.Highly recommended for anybody who weight trains at least 4-5 daysa week and is looking for cheaper protein powder.

First off let me say that I didn't get bloated at all or gasy from this product like every other review.The product did what it did best and worked well with my workout. I needed a lot of protein, with the size of this product and how much protein and calories it fit perfectly for my needs. However it's not as much as you may think. 3.5 scoops for a serving size and it disappears faster then you think but not as fast as other proteins like Muscle Milk.The taste is great, it's not the greatest but it's very good and gets down easily.This is the first time I tried anything from this brand and I will be getting some more come next paycheck! Thank you Universal!

When I first started a 5x5 program 2 years ago, this stuff immensely helped me recover from those brutal workouts and gain significant size on my naturally thin frame. Now I've returned to it as I've been plateauing on my lifts and size, and I've put on 3 lbs of (mostly) lean mass in 3 weeks.As I already try to eat for size and don't want much fat gain, I take 1/2 serving first thing in the morning and another 1/2 post-workout or at night, both with whole milk. The cookies and cream is amazing, it mixes beautifully with a spoon, and it doesn't wreak havoc on the digestive system as some other weight gainers do. Love it.

Been taking it for about two years. This is the first supplement I always buy. It's my go-to. I've haven't tried any other gainers but, I feel, this cuts it. I've tried a lot of protein though from syntha 6 to optimun and I can say this is one of the better tasting ones. This is the type of stuff that works if you take it consistently. I started noticing improvement around the 2nd bag. Now it may just be the protein but when I switch to regular proteins I lose a pound or 2 unless I counter with more calories. Overall I like this stuff. It's good post workout for the ectomorphs out there.

This is the seventh time I've purchased this stuff over the last few months, so I guess I like it. Actually, I love it. I'm 6'1" and (was) 165 lbs.. I've been a (VERY) hard gainer my entire life and have tried numerous supplements and weight gain products, but I've never had the kind of result I've gotten with this stuff!! I actually might need to stop taking it for awhile....it works that well!! I take it twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening / night. It taste great by itself, but I always add a banana and a raw egg before I blend it. I still eat three meals a day

Great product. It blends really well in a shaker bottle. A little more difficult to do in a cup with just a spoon or fork. But that is expected with any "gainer" type supplement. I like the bag much more than those really large tubs. Easier to put on top of the fridge or in the pantry. If you want to see extremely great results I would use it and work out as advised. If you want moderate results, you could cut back on the scoops etc. I believe this product is also great in terms of per serving. When I look for the best value I always look for per serving vs per ounce.

I have been messing around in the fitness industry for over 10 years now and I have always had the same problem with weight gainers, too much sugar! This product is amazing with only 5 grams of sugar in 87 grams of carbs. This product Tastes really good ( the Chocolate Ice Cream is the one I got) and it blends really well. I use a shaker cup and it never has any chunks of powder in it or anything like that.I would recommend this product to anyone who is trying to pack on some mass.

Nothing comes close to Real Gains when it comes to value. It tastes great. Has a no non sense profile & I've been using this stuff for about 5 years if not more. I've tried other weight gainer a & I always come back to this stuff.Chocolate is my go to flavor. It mixes well & it isn't super thick or chunky. The serving per dollar is also great. Highly recommend whether youre bulking, cutting & still need some clean carb / protein post workout options, or an athlete.

If you're looking for an easier way to add some extra calories to your diet, I would definitely recommend this product. Put on a decent 7 pounds after four weeks of use. Taste a lot better with milk than water, which also helps out for the caloric intake for your day. Only drink it after a workout as it will digest easier. Try taking it as a quick morning breakfast and afternoon snack, your stomach will hate you for it. Great product overall

This was my first mass gainer and it did what I expected. It doesn't have as much protein per scoop when compared to the last protein I took which was gold standard. They say take 3.5 scoops which IMO is ridiculous. 2 scoops twice a day is more than enough. I got 10lbs of this stuff for 50 bucks and change and the quality is good for the price. I recommend this product to anyone looking to gain a few pounds. The taste is good too.

Been using this product for at least 4 years now. Had tried many different gainers before finding Real Gains. This one uses a smaller amount per serving than other products, so a 10lb bag of this lasts longer than 10lbs of other gainers. It also has the right ratio of carbs to protein that you need for growth after a hard training. Also quite surprisingly, IMO it tastes way better than other budget gainers.
