I purchased these shorts as an underlayer for running and hiking.I live in Tennessee, so during the summer months things can get a bit swampy if you find yourself out of doors and doing anything that involves exerting yourself. These shorts are a great way to prevent the bevy of unpleasantness that can arise from a sweaty undercarriage no matter what your activity.A couple of small issues bear mentioning though. First, like all moisture-wicking material, it is very important to remove these from the wash promptly as to preserve the coating on the fabric. Otherwise you will find these grey, wet lint-looking smears on them and their moisture-wicking ability will be diminished. Second, and I know that there are other versions of the product that do have one, but this particular set has no fly. Last, the waistband can bite in a bit uncomfortably if you've got anything extra around the middle. All in all I like these shorts. The length is good and they don't ride up, they're well coinstructed, comfortable, and durable if you take care of them. This is one of many pairs of UA compression shorts I own and I will definitely purchase more down the road.

I've worn many types of compression shorts in my sports career - these are notably the best.I've won compression shorts and never really felt 'compression'. Rather they have usually just felt like legwarmers/undershorts with no real purpose. These really do reduce fatigue in my legs - also I can put these on when my legs are sore and it takes the pain away and makes me mobile again.I'd strongly recommend these. I always misunderstood why Under Armour was so popular and used to buy off-brand stuff (or other brands that had entered the compression/baselayer market). But these shorts have shown me what it's actually all about.Definitely give these a shot if you're browsing and unsure what to get. They really are great.

These are really good compression shorts. Note that they are designed for use in hot weather, as they are part of the hot gear range. I didn't know this, and at the time I really wanted something to keep me warm in the cold weather. That's my own fault though, and doesn't take away from the fact that these are a good pair of shorts. They are a great fit (I'm a 32 inch waist and medium is a perfect fit for me), feel well made, though not especially thick, the material is good quality. Before I got these, I had some adidas cycling shorts that I used as a Baselayer, but these are so much better.Very happy with them.

I bought these compression shorts to help prevent chaffing while running. They did exactly what I wanted them to do. Not only did they fit as expected, but they also stayed put. The legs have some kind of band in them that keeps them from riding up. The first time I wore them I ran 13.1 miles through wooded mountain trails. They prevented my inner thighs from chaffing and withstood the brutal heat. They were amazing when I was running through mud pits, rivers and climbing up hills/rocks. They kept me cool and are very easy to keep clean. These are my go to base layer in the warmer months.

I bought these because I suffer with sciatica and my physiotherapist recommended compression shorts. They took a little time to get used to as I've always worn bikini briefs or boxer briefs. They are tighter than briefs or boxer briefs, but they are not uncomfortable or restrictive. I found that the size is correct, so if you are a Med, get Med. They are under or outer wear, but they are a little revealing, especially the white, for outerwear, so you will need to wear briefs underneath if using for running, etc, also, they are of the no-fly style, and they don't pull down easily.

Ok guys, if you work in the heat like Colombia or Afghanistan or any other hot environment where you sweat, chaffing in the groin area is always a problem. I don't have to remind you older guys as we get older our junk tends to hang lower. Well let me tell you about these HeatGear° shorts. Thèse are a god send to anyöne that works in these conditions. They not only keep your junk firmly in place, but prevent chaffing and feel comfortable all day long. Best undies I have ever worn. Sorry for being a little graphic, but it's the only way to really express how well they work.

I purchased these to replace several worn-out pairs that I bought years ago from a different manufacturer. These are a define step up. The waistband is wider so it is much better at resisting rolling over. Perhaps because they are new, they fit more snuggly which I think is a good thing. Since I spend several hours a week on cardiovascular exercise machines, I want something that avoids chaffing; being drenched in sweat compounds chaffing problems (as I am certain anyone who has experienced it knows all too well). These shorts also seem to be better at wicking away sweat.

This is my first pair of Under Armour compression shorts. I previously purchased a pair of Russell Athletic ones to try them out. Those were not very good. I ordered these and they are amazing. I normally do not write reviews but I had to this time. They are so comfortable when working out in the gym or walking. I am planning to purchase more Under Armour compression shorts/underwear now. I could wear these all day. I can not say with these that you are just paying for the name as they are more expensive they are worth the extra money you have to put towards them.

I suffer from a repetitive groin injury as a result of an old squash injury that just never goes away. Three weeks before my marathon, it pulled again (I could not run at all). I know from past management of this injury that compression is vital to prevent further strain on the groin. I needed compression shorts that were comfortable and durable enough to last 26.2 miles, and also that gave good compression. These worked absolutely great, and using these together with the Neo G VCS Groin support I was able to complete my marathon in under 4 hours.

Under armour are good quality, the elastic waist band doesn't fold over so they remain comfortable, and the multi-way stretch keeps everything in place when out running or playing high impact sport. So far they are going strong after 6 months and i suspect they will last 18 months before expiring (yes I am washing them after every use!).Any tips? Buy the right size for yourself. You don't need a size smaller so they are tight, and you don't need a size larger so they aren't tight. The sizing seems about right

I was looking to replace my UA Compression shorts that were L/G, Blck w/ the White writing like the image above, long length. What I got was a mid length one with the Grey writing.Admittedly the length mixup was on me for not reading too carefully. But I would have liked to receive what I expected and what was depicted in the images above. However they are solid compression shorts, which is all I need, and the mesh-like crotch area is cooler but still supportive.

1 year on and these shorts still fit great. The material is great for the gym and I wouldn't go running or weight lifting without them. The stitching is solid, it doesn't ride up during activity and the colour hasn't faded after being washed countless times. I've had a red pair in the past and it's gone light pink now but the black coloured pairs have stood the test of time & the washing machine. Definitely recommend to those living an active lifestyle.

I took the advice of several people whom mentioned to buy one size larger than you'd normally wear. DO NOT DO IT! They are suppose to fit snug not loose! I had to go out to Target to grab a few cheaper pairs that did fit me properly. So purchase the size you normally do wear. I wear these from time to time for my longer jog/walks on the weekends but honestly they sit in the back of the drawer and only get used when everything else is needing a wash.

I chose these based on the price of the product and the under armour brand being heavily pushed at the moment. They shorts a comfortable and sizing is good for me but the lack the quality of the skins brand I also have some A500 and these are the best cycling/ running shorts I have purchased. What stops these getting a 5 is they feel like your wearing compression shorts either on a long run/ cycle or gym workout others pairs I have simply don't

20.2.2015

Overall these are very good compression shorts. It fit is as expected. Only reason a four versus a five is they are not supertight as other reviews have stated If you're looking for a very tight compression short that will keep you from having any movement down there these will not be your go to. I like them for working out versus traditional cotton underwear as they do not soak up the sweat and become exceptionally damp they help you breath
