I just avoided this game thinking itd be a simple money maker but i picked it up for £4 and im very surprised with how good it is. Even on amateur mode is remarkably difficult for a fifa game. There are several modes to choose from, im currently embarking on the mission mode where you have 50 matches to play and 50 objectives to reach ie score 3 goals, concede fewer than 2, score within the first 20 minutes etc etc.Gives the game a good edge which other fifa games have lacked. I dont like Pro Evo but ive been told this is about as close as you can get to it. As i said, on amateur its tough. The pitches are huge and its quite hard to see which players are which because in the day matches, its easy to pick out the strips..but for the evening games, any strip appears black so its hard to pick your passes and as soon as you get into "their" half, you are closed down by what appears to be 17 men against your 11 so getting space in the middle is very hard. Scoring is a pain aswell as you have to be very accurate unlike the older versions of just pressing A in the direction of the goal and it hits the target. Accuracy is an issue, but also the agility of the keepers is off the scale so chances of a high scoring game are very low.The AI is strong aswell and does a good job of keeping the ball and passing it about. One of the best fifa games ive played. Better than 06 in my opinion. In all a very good game, massive improvements on previous Fifa efforts and im delighted i gave it a chance.

I have not yet played the final game but the demo gave me a good idea of the game. Having also played FIFA 2005, i can say that it is basically the same. There are a few tweaks to gameplay, like setpieces (which they've now ruined), but others like referees playing advantages make the game flow much better. The mission based gameplay adds a new edge to the game. For a home game, you might have to keep a clean sheet, so the opposition doesn't get an away goal - it's the little things that make it overall good. There are also radio shows and player ratings that add to the fun.If you didn't get FIFA 2005 or Pro 4, then get this, if not, don't, unless you really want the new features.I still think it's a great game and better than the Pro series. It really does feel like football now (unlike FIFA 2004).

Bought for 7 year old footie mad son.He seems to love it, grasping how to play very quickly.Good level of difficulty, he is not winning by cricket scores yet as he seems to on Wii and DS gamesNot sussed out the finer points yet but a good purchase
