This is NOT simple to setup, as you need to use the UniFi software on your PC to configure it... and figuring out what you need isn't obvious. UniFi is designed to be used in commercial settings where you have a professional installing and maintaining things, so there is a steep learning curve for an amateur. If you're used to an all-in-one router, WiFi, Modem with a simple web interface, you'll be a bit lost at first.That said... the WiFi stability and speed has never been better. I used to have quite a high-end consumer WiFi router, but this just kills that dead.In short, it will take a few hours to learn about and get setup, BUT you will be VERY HAPPY that you did.The only disappointment is that my EdgeRouter X SFP router uses 24V POE,

Needed to replace an existing single Wireless AP with two UAP-FlexHD devices to provide better coverage in our house.First device was adopted OK through UI controller but second device wouldn't connect to the first device to create a Mesh Wifi network, as easy as I had expected.After a few hours of researching / troubleshooting this issue , it eventually connected through the Wireless network to the base AP (first UAP-FlexHD), connected at 270MbsWifi coverage is now solid around the house. Streaming services via TVs (Amazon / Netflix) , while at the same working remotely to our Offices, mobile phones connecting, etc.. work like a dream now !Really pleased with the outcome.

I have a Ubiquiti equipped network at home and wanted to try another one of their access points. This access point is quite small and not obtrusive in our living room. The blue LED on the top of the access point can be made dimmer or a different colour if wanted.I plugged it into my Ubiquiti switch and the controller recognised it quickly so I could adopt it and then configure it. All very simple and easy.Performance so far has been good and no issues. I can recommend this and Ubiquiti kit in general.

This is basically the same as the Unifi nano HD, except in a more spouse-friendly form factor.Like the nano HD, it provides a good signal and is very easy to add to a unifi controller and to manage.The only negative point I can think of is that it is £20 more than the nano HD, but it has only just been released so that may explain the additional cost.

As with all Ubiquiti kit this is fantastic. The extremely small form factor makes this AP very unobtrusive. I’ve added this to my network to provide full coverage in the garden. Perfect results. Set it up and forgot about it.
