I don't know why some people are reporting that these bottom brackets aren't durable... I hope they haven't started making these on-the-cheap.I have had to switch all my bicycles from cartridge bearing bottom brackets to loose-bearing models because I'm always burning them out in a matter of weeks. The newer outboard cup models are the worst of all. No matter the brand (Campagnolo, Shimano, SRAM, and numerous no-name models) the cartridge bearing design just seems flawed. The exception has been the Truvativ Power Spline bottom bracket. I've gone through two in eight years. I use these on my commuter fixed-gear bicycle that I use a minimum of 75 miles a week - rain or shine. The first one gave out after three years or so back when I was using the fixed-gear for commuting and training and I went through about a dozen rain storms that year. I was putting in 150 miles a week for 2 of those three years. A slight clicking noise finally cropped up. I could soak the unit in motor oil, then let it drain and it would be good for another week or so... but I finally just changed it out.I recently bought a new fixed-gear frameset and decided to replace the old Power Spline with a new unit... the old one is still fine, it just didn't want to thread into the frameset's bottom bracket shell easily and I had a new one in the shop. The Power Spline is a proprietary design by Truvativ (now owned by SRAM I take it, based on the labeling of the new one I just ordered so that I have a spare on hand)... so it isn't ISIS... it's more tapered looking. The whole Power Spline concept never really caught on (sort of like Shimano's Octalink... yep, tried that one as well), so it's unclear how long they'll keep manufacturing them... but you have to use a Power Spline crankset with these. As others have mentioned, these aren't anything special to look at. They are not particularly well sealed or ultra-smooth turning out of the box... but in my experience, they have proven very durable and that has made all the difference.

My old Tange JIS square taper bottom bracket (OEM in the bike in 2002) had finally worn out and I needed a replacement. Since I needed to buy a new crankset anyway, I decided to try out the Powerspline. Everything seems in good order, the BB was in perfect condition, came with alloy cup as listed and with new fixing bolts for the crank arms. I now have spare fixing bolts, because the new crankset also came with fixing bolts. I don't ride off road or do anything crazy, just commuting home from work 2-3 times a week, which is 16 miles one way. Thus, I expect this bottom bracket will probably last me another many years.

I ride a fixed gear bike 20 miles daily. This bottom bracket holds up to so pretty gnarly abuse. Spins fast, spins true, and lasts. A perfect fit for my 88' Nashbar which is a strange bottom bracket size, this aligns my chain ring to my rear wheel perfectly. I ride year round so this gets a lot of debris, salt and grime sprayed into it. The sealed bottom bracket keeps the bearings spinning smoothly year after year.

This was the only Power Spline option available to replace my bottom bracket when the original bearings went bad. The original BB lasted roughly 5,000 miles. It included metal BB cups. This replacement includes plastic cups, which was disappointing. So far the BB has worked well though roughly 2,000 miles. I expect this is a part that I will be replacing yearly, but for around $20 that's OK.

Almost two years and it's still running strong. The BB and crankset for that matter are a good priced alternative for low end cranks. Now that after a while I can tell the difference in quality and build I will be switching to something like a Dura Ace crank but I still like this for the price.

So far, so good. Installed about 6 weeks ago and fixed the horrible 'clunk' that my bike had developed. Cheap and cheerful, and seemingly perfectly good enough for my daily commute. If I get the same 4 year's of use from this that I got from the one I replaced, I'll be happy.

I would have given it 5 stars except for the fact that I had to clean up the threads on it and that should have never left the factory like that (has Q.C. gone out the window) but other than that it works great nice and smooth so far.

Hello, I have a frame with a 73 bottom bracket, I need a 73-113 isis. This model indicates two options 68 or 68/73, is the 68/73 worth for my 73 frame? They are two different models: 68 mm and 68/73 or they are the same

Cheap and easy. The bike simply feels as good as new. No more grinding sensation when pedalling hard uphill. I'm hoping for this part to yield about three years of optimal service.

This BB feels pretty solid to me. The cup is aluminum, not plastic. I would post a pic, but that would be like god trying to take a selfie. How big would his iPhone have to be?

I just replaced my old one after a whole bunch of of city commuting miles. It was just starting creak a little. It's the only option for my SRAM S100 cranks. No complaints.

Hi Would this fit a 2020 voodoo Bizango, I’m sure it’s a sram powerspline. There is slight play on the crack set, would this be the thing I need replacing? Cheers Gary

Great BB at a nice price, switched it out and got rid of the clicking from the worn bracket. I certainly will purchase again when I need to replace this one!
