I got it a few years ago t walk my cat at the local green area. It is very good and my cat is comfortable in it. He tried to fight it initially but since then he settled and have been doing great. We had countless of walks without any problems apart: A WORD OF WARNING! that it can be dangerous if you try to pull the lead while standing behind him and he resits it or if something makes him to panic and he starts pulling away in that direction as the strip of the harness around his neck can choke him and can even cause harm. A couple of times he started struggling to breath and coughing. Since then , for this reason I always try to tag the lead by standing on his side,so that it pulls the harness around his chest and not on his neck. I also have a leash that is 8 meters long so that if he charges and starts running cause something spooked him or he saw a squirrel, I can release the leash and catch up with him without having to tag it hard and cause him any injury. Even if I let the leash loose it is so heavy he will stop running eventually. For this reason I just ordered a harness for cats made by a company that specializes on cats in USA which is fit around the body and not the neck as cats have very fragile necks.

I bought this as my Siberian male had outgrown his standard size harness. This product is sturdy, the clips are easy to fasten and unfasten. It has plenty of adjustment (up to 54cm tummy circumference ) for a growing cat (he will continue to grow for another 4 years yet!) the short strap goes around his neck and the long one around his tummy. I have adjusted it to fit him snugly and there is no way he can wriggle out of it and he is a strong lad. If we are gardening we attach it to an extending dog lead and anchor it in the lawn - he can then wander around the garden safely without me worrying about him escaping. He loves wearing it and jumps up on to the chair excitedly for me to put it on when I get it out of the draw as he knows he is going in the garden. He has been wearing this for about an hour daily since I bought it. The only negative point I would make is that I would have liked to have had a choice of colour - it was illustrated in red it arrived in blue (fortunately) but I would have preferred black as he is a black and brown tabby. I would definitely recommend this harness if you have a large breed of cat.

I bought this to help with taking my cat >1200 by car. It was great. She was in a carrier not wearing it most of the time, but when we stopped we could put her on a lead and attach it to a headrest and then open the car windows or doors and not worry she'd run off, to allow her to get out of her carrier and use her litter tray. We also used it in combination with a breathable rucksack to walk short distances to cafe's, and tether her to a chair we were sitting on or something else immovable, so she could sit with us whilst we took a break from driving. At one point she even went for a little walk. We had bought another much cheaper harness on eBay with buckles and she would squirm and try desparately to get away when we tried to put it on her, with this one she was much happier to have it put on. I don't know if it's the material, or that it's blue. The other one was black and a soft suede like material, I think she much preferred the nylon. It felt very secure, it's a high quality item. I'm not sure if we'll be taking her for walks, maybe one day :). She's a 3 year old house cat, has never even worn a collar before.

I'd been dubious about how my cat would react to a collar and lead as he'd previously scratched himself badly trying to get a normal collar off when he was younger. As recommended, I left it out for him to sniff for a few days before trying it on him. Worked like a treat! He likes to lick the harness (not sure if he thinks his hair is not behaving and trying to fix it??) but apart from that no issues. He's a fairly docile cat used to lots of handling so it goes on easily. It's adjustable and very sturdy - he's never been close to shrugging it off. I'm so confident in it I leave him out in the garden on the lead on his own. While I'll never be able to 'walk him' (he'd never suffer the indignity)this has been invaluable at allowing him time safely outdoors.Only downside (which I knew in advance, thus still 5*) is the length of the lead. It's as advertised: short. I rigged up some spare washing line to extend it which works beautifully. Also worth noting: I received a red one. Don't think I got the option to choose the colour .

In September my cat badly broke both bones in his front leg. He had to be kept in a cage for many weeks and as it started to heal he was allowed out for an hour, gradually building up to longer out the cage. Because he got very excited when he was out of the cage he ran and jumped around too much which was not good for the broken bone. A vet friend recommended trying a harness and possibly lead which would probably help to slow him down. Initially, wearing the harness, he just threw himself down and would barely walk at all. However he now walks around quite freely whilst wearing it. He doesn't move quite as crazily as he would do if he wasn't wearing it. As for the size - it's really great. He has put on weight whilst being in a cage and although I had bought three other 'large' harnesses they were all way too small for him. This one is easily big enough for him and is adjustable. I think he currently weighs about 6.5 kg. I hope this helps. I would highly recommend.

I have a 13y/o Ragdoll (rescue) who's never been outside, I got him a step in jacket-like harness to begin with as I needed to make sure he was secure until we figured out what he acts like once outside. That was difficult for him to get used to and he'd often not go outside as he felt constricted in it, so the Trixie harness is great, not only does he not have to step into anything he doesn't mind having it on and will sit still while i attach both parts (unless i take too long). As he isn't part of getting the harness on he now gets to decide at the external door if he wants to go outside, rather than at the difficult harness on stage. It's really easy to get on and off and there is plenty of adjustment left even on a large Ragdoll (6kg).It's very secure and the clasps aren't the breakaway type you see on collars. It's well made and good quality, would definately buy again.

The item was well packaged when it arrived and was quite sturdy and strong. It was a really cute product. My cat hates it though but to be fair that's not a problem with the product but a problem with my cat. My cat is an amputee (front left leg), about 4 years old and a bit chubby and a housecat by choice. The vet suggested maybe encouraging him to go outside. He's never worn a harness before and he doesn't wear his collar comfortably either. This product was great in that it was fully adjustable (advisable to adjust before placing on your cat because once it's on, it's difficult to readjust) and it fit perfectly well. The lead supplied was good and strong and I personally would say that this product would fit a large breed of cat like ragdolls quite easilly. So in all, it was a good product. Cat still won't go outside though.

The harness fits my adult male ragdoll (5.5kg) perfectly, with plenty of room for adjustment should he get any bigger. I a, blessed with a remarkably laid-back cat, and he has been fine wearing this from the second time I put it on him. (The first time it was far too loose, and having it flopping about him freaked him out). The only reason it isn't five stars is that it does have a tendency to slip sideways, so the ring for the lead ends up more on his side than between his shoulders. Again, he's a placid beast so it doesn't bother him, and we only amble around the garden, but if you were going to be going for longer treks and/or had a fussier cat, a vest-style harness might be better suited. The lead itself is short.I quickly swapped it out for a much longer (10m) one so the cat could actually roam around a bit.

Great lead, a very good size. I had bought another one (from a different supplier) but it wouldn't go round my little miss (or not so little miss!) This is adjustable too so easy to tailor it to her size. My cat is an outdoor cat but I recently moved to a flat so this is a great solution for taking her out for walks around the property. She fought against the lead being put on her at first but now when she sees me with it, she meows and stays still for me to fit it, as she loves her walks. Once I feel she gets to know the neighbourhood better I will let her roam free but this is great for the first few months so she safely learns her surroundings.PS: a tip for anyone trying to get the lead on a more feisty cat is to give them treats while you do it.. :)

Bought this as my cat outgrew his last harness. I mainly use this with a pet seatbelt for car journeys. This one fits well. The webbing straps/ are a little thicker than his previous one, but this does not affect the fit at all - in fact just makes the whole thing more sturdy. The clips are strong and not at all fiddly to operate (like the ones on my small cat's harness). The whole thing is robust and well made, as well as being easily ajustable, so I do not have to worry about the cat escaping while in the car.Tiny quibble - wish there were options for different colours as I would have preferred black, but no fault at all with the actual product. If I ever needed another one, would buy again.

I have a large (40" long) Maine Coon x Bengal mix housecat weighing in at 12+lb and this is perfect for him. It is really easy to put on, and to my surprise he took to it instantly and doesn't seem bothered by it at all. I've had no problem with clips snapping open even when he's been startled and flung himself to the end of the lead, and I feel safe enough with it to walk him out at the front of the house by the road as well as in the garden. He has now started bringing me the harness when he wants to go outside, so it is clearly a hit. Would be too big for a small/average sized cat, but if your cat is of a size that people comment on it, its the perfect harness.

My cat is over 7kg elderly, he hates anything that being put on him as well taking it off. You have to adjust it very well before strapping to your cat. I left about about 0,5 to 1 cm of gap between my cat and strap, he won't get out of it, he tried rolling, reversing and won't get out. My cat tried to bend it all sorts of ways to get out and it holds. One thing, my cat is in house cat, I didn't try it outside yet so be cautious when using, j use it to freshen the house with patio door, and my catvis trying to escape each time, didn't disappoint me son far.

Fits our Norwegian Forest cross (8kg) well. Loved that we got a red one, just his colour! Difficult to adjust, so would recommend using a tape measure on you cat to get the size and then adjusting the harness before attempting to out it on. Our boy isn't too fussed by the harness itself, but is freaked out by the lead. Had one 2 second garden outing so far before he got freaked out by the lead and ran back into our flat at some speed! Hoping to desenstise him to it somehow, even treats don't seem to be helping at the moment. Hopefully he'll be brave soon!

This product is amazing shipped out fast as I'm on Amazon Prime next day delivery. Fits my cat which was 5.6kgs and now weighs 5.0kg due to (due to illness why weight fell off) Adjustable neck and body to also fit small dog if needs be. The lesh is a good length for what I need it for. Only thing is you can't pick the colour like it's been said in numerous reviews but not a major problem as long it does the trick and is strong enough which it is very sturdy that is all that matters. Plus my cat had no problems me putting it on him on a test run, result ?

Didn't think for a second that my rather large and fat cat would consent to wearing this but much to my surprise she has done. It's easy enough to wrestle her into it and she's not managed to escape from it - although to be fair she also hasn't tried. The adjustable straps mean that it would fit cats of a range of sizes - ours has slimmed down to a svelte 5.5kg and it fits her great - would easily accommodate a larger cat but I'm not sure how suitable it would be for a smaller more agile cat. It's been a great success and money well spent.
