This is ideal for my larger cat (my smaller carrier is now up for sale), she is a 6kg weight and this fits her needs perfectly as she can sit up and stretch out when laid down on a 3hr journey.I do have a concern however; the hinges are not as on any other similar transport boxes, they sort of slide up and then come back down to clip together (bit hard to explain) and there is a piece of plastic which has to fold and unfold in this process. I just hope the hinges last as we will use it at least 12 times a year. Otherwise my DIY skills will have to come to the rescue and drill tiny holes in top & bottom hinge parts and add some leather/material etc. to replace the bit of plastic.

I bought this for my cocker spaniel puppy, mostly to use in the car but also for early crate training at home. To be fair she absolutely hated it so eventually I just let her have the back seat of the car, but I can't fault the product. The top hatch made putting her in and getting her out a lot easier than a design with just a front door, mostly because when secured in teh car the front door was up against the back of the seat in front. It has seat belt slots to secure it when travelling. The front door mechanism seemed sturdy and I liked that you can take the front door off completely so she couldn't accidentally close it when it was being used for early crate training.

We got this for our slightly larger cat (around 6kg) as we felt the 'midi' top-loading carrier, also by Trixie, would be a bit snug.Option of front or top-loading is good, although I can't see Theo willingly going into the carrier through the front - hence our wish for the top-loading option. The top 'gate' seems a little narrow at first, but the carrier is quite big so it's probably an optical illusion.Plenty of ventilation and viewing options for kitty during transport and it seems sturdy enough.Some assembly required, but it's straightforward and there are diagrammatic instructions to help. You need fairly strong fingers for attaching the small 'strap' handles (no strap included, by the way,

I needed a large box to transport my big cat (he weighs over 5kgs) to the vet. As I had problems before getting him into the previous carrier, it was important to find a replacement with an open top, as I hoped it would be easier to get him in. It was easy to assemble, although I'm still not sure how to secure it in the car, but as we won't be visiting the vet till August, i have time to find out. As recommended, I left the box in the living room, with the front panel removed, so that big boy Louie could get used to it. Sure enough, after placing a blanket inside and some toys, he went in and slept there. Now of course he ignores it but I'm sure it will be so much easier to get him .

I really like this box, it is very sturdy, seems well made and is a nice colour. My kitten yowls a lot after a few minutes in it but I think that's just the travelling. One thing I do worry about is that because the top is more open, I think the noises and sights may be freaking her out more than they would if the top were covered. And she did not like being in it when it rained (obviously). We never put her in from the top anyway, so it I were to buy it again I think i would get a top covered one, but definitely from this brand.

This product is highly recommended, and feels sturdy and easy to use. I have had this for a few months and is used to transport my Scottie or Westie. It is the ideal size, and the opening on top of the carrier is ideal if you have a tight space in the car boot as you can lift the dog out for short 'pit stops' on your journey.I also have a 'Atlas' carrier I had purchased from Pets at Home a couple of years ago and this is of better quality and usability, would recommend this product, over the other as more flexible.

The size of this carrier is fantastic for my two mini lop rabbits as they can stretch out and enjoy the journey together. It is enclosed enough to make them feel safe yet lots of grills for good ventilation. The top opens up to give access if required and it also can be secured with the seat belt. For storage you can take the top off and put it upside down in the base thus taking up less room. I am very pleased with this purchase.

I was very pleased with this transporter. Firstly it was easy to assemble, although I have to say that the first one of these I ordered did break on assembly. Secondly and most importantly it is easy to put your cat in and take out of the box, mainly because of the top opening. Not all boxes have this top opening and I found it an excellent feature. It is also very safe and secure for the cat to travel in..

This carrier is excellent . We have two 14 month old cats and it is a perfect size for them both. The carrier is very well made and easy to put together. Delivery was incredible , ordered on the 11 th at midday delivered next day at 9 am, you can't get much better than that. Thoroughly recommend this seller.

Great product, went together really easily (once I'd lined it up properly) My 5kg Maine Coon kitten was happy to travel to the vet in it with no gaping or any problems atall while being carried. Both of my one year old Maine Coons can fit in this product together. Great size thank you

sturdy, large and top opening is great if putting two pets in (guinea pigs) as they can't escape while you open the top to put the other in!Can be used as a litter tray too, and breaks down for stacking when no in use - good quality materials so will last a long time.

A little fiddly to assemble, but spacious and light. Being able to put a wriggling cat into the carrier through the top opning is a real bonus. Also means that the carrier is not useless if ine of the doors is no longer functional.

Great carrier, larger than standard size for a cat so they have a bit more room to move around. Can load from front or top, my cat hates getting in this either way, but I'm extremely happy with it and got it for a great price ?

Really good cat carrier, I would definitely recommend this product. I especially like that you can secure the carrier with the seatbelt in the car. It is very sturdy, easy to assemble and well worth the money.

Positive: sturdy, large, top opening, light weight.Negative: central clips do not always stay closed, but still secure.Bought due to top opening - helps get uncooperative cat into the carrier.
