I bought these because the dog boots rub. My mental Springer doesn't notice thorns until she's home. She also nibbles so bad she draws blood. The socks stop her hurting herself at home. My girl has big pads but slim ankles. So we got medium after asking for advice. The packs are in pairs which is handy because you're not constantly replacing 4 in one go! When worn on laminate or tiles it stops scoobie do style running on the spot and sloping into doors. The reason for a 4 and not a 5, they turn round! So the pad faces up and not down. I think a better design would be the rubber all the way round so turning won't matter. As it is it tended to only turn when she was on no 10 mental dog factor and bouncing off the walls.

I purchased these socks so that my small dog could wear them indoors and stop her biting her feet!She is a chihuahua cross, under 5k. She is a little bigger than the average chihuahua, but still small. However, these socks did not even cover her toes!It's a real shame because, had they fitted, I think they would have done the trick in keeping her from biting her paws.They look comfortable and are (relatively) easy to put on your dog and if they fitted I'm sure they would stay on!As those I bought were small to medium, I did think about getting a larger pair, but I think it's more a case of my dog having strange size feet and the next size up will be too big. These socks do exactly what they say, I have a large golden retriever and bought them to stop him slipping on the flooring I have. My only quibble would be that they do slip round every now and then but this is not really a problem, my dog really doesn't mind wearing these socks. For those complaining that there are only two in a pack it does clearly state that it is a pack of two and in some cases two is all you need, I originally bought 1 pair and just had them on his front two feet which helped enormously and after the success I have had and his willingness to wear them I have now ordered another pair.

Bought for our excitable young golden retriever. The socks are wonderful at helping him keep his balance on the slippery wooden floor, especially when guests come to the door! Would recommend if you have wooden/tiled flooring and your dog is slipping, hopefully these socks will help prevent muscle pains caused by sliding. They stay on well and do not appear to cause our dog any discomfort as he leaves them alone and doesn't attempt to take them off or lick/chew them. We didn't expect them to be as beneficial as they have been, so we are very pleased.

These socks are perfect for Tess, her claws on the back paws are worn ,which makes the kitchen and hard floors slippy, we have mats which help but these little socks are a must, she does sometimes pull them off but they are very easy to slip back on and she forgets about them and walks and runs!! with confidence without slipping. These are the right size for Tess L-XL she is a very large long haired German Shepherd and l can fit my finger in when she is wearing them, these are socks and are for inside the house.Thank you for a great product.Anita

These are a great idea, I have all wooden floors and my old English sheepdog has arthritis in her back legs and I bought them to save her slipping and making her condition worse, I bought the extra large as recommended by someone else but do wish they where bigger as it's a real struggle to get them on and they are really tight. But they do fit my other dog who is much smaller. So although they are great when they fit I would say the extra large won't fit a large dog.

After looking for a solution to help my elderly dog on hard floors I decided to try these socks.I read several reviews on lots of sites which said that they had worked wonders but I have to admit I was still sceptical.I am so impressed with the difference they have made for my dog - suddenly he is able to walk on hard, slippery surfaces again!This product is fantastic value for money (I looked at many more expensive varieties) and the shipping was very speedy.

Bought these for my aunt's chocolate labrador who struggles on the wooden floor. They were easy to put on his hind legs (though make sure the dog's nails are short!) and made an immediate difference to the dog's gait. I even took them off the dog to take him outside, and as soon as he stood up on the wooden floor, he picked up the socks and brought them to me to put back on him! The size was about right, as this dog is a medium sized labrador and the socks stretch.

Excellent product. This is a simple and effective solution form dogs that need help to stop their legs from slipping. My labrador is 11 years old. He recently tore his ligament. Though he is healing nicely, we have marble floors and his bag legs slip on the floor. This worsens his injury. These socks have given him the traction he needs to get up without any problem and run around. I have ordered another pair as well.

The socks are really good for our Labrador who has a spinal problem and struggles on wooden floors. They have definitely aided his mobility around the house. Biggest disappointment was receiving them in a pack of 2. Imaging was deceiving, and like most dogs he has 4 legs which means he needs 4 socks!! Was happy to buy 2 packs if it had been made clear in the write up. Had to re-order and pay postage again

doggy doesn't mind it. it allowed him to walk on laminate which is great. unfortunately, and not due to the socks, after wearing them for a day, he learnt to walk on the floor without them so i no longer need to use them. i am hoping it was the socks that taught him to do it, or maybe he just didn't want to wear them and thought he will just do without them :-))) other than that, product is great :-)

I am delighted with these. My German Shepherd Dog has arthritis in his back legs and was forever sliding around on our wooden floors. These little socks have given him back his confidence and he is walking great again. I only put them on his back paws and surprisingly, he has not pulled them off. Very happy dog and owner. I bought L-Xtra L and they fit perfect.

These are good socks at a reasonable price.On reflection, anatomically correct socks would be better as you have to pull these back a bit underneath so that the non-slip bit is under the large pad of the dogs foot (it naturally sits under the toes due to the shape of the sock).Even taking this in to account, they are definitely value for money.

These have helped with our older dog on our wooden floors as he has some pain in his joints and is prone to getting excited when one of the family comes home and can quite often slip and tumble as he rushes to the front door. That happens a lot less with these on - and the sound of his claws clattering on the floorboards is noticeably quieter.

I loved these socks for my dog. He is terrible for biting his feet, the vet said its just a bad habit he has, these actually stopped him from doing this. His feet have healed 'again' and they are brilliant for stopping him slipping on the wooden floor. I have bought these twice so there are always some ready for him if we need them.
