First appearance; very pretty, there is a definite 'glittery' quality to it as the shiny silver strands are interwoven (creates a nice effect when in motion). Overall, the quality isn't bad for the price you pay. The curtain is very light-weight (which is a plus), but this does mean it can become easily tangled.90cm in width and 200cm in height. The curtain can be cut, to adjust for the size of the door frame/window. She hung ours on the door - and length wise, it's pretty standard. Width wise, it needed to be cut. Hanging the curtain is very easy too, because it's so light. We used drawing pins, but I would imagine that double sided tape would work as well.I do feel there should be a safety warning/disclaimer with regards to children. We have a 9 month old daughter, who is starting to crawl. As such, we will be gifting the curtain to our friend. I feel that the curtain could pose a threat for babies/young children if they were left unsupervised. I'm sure this goes without saying for all the parents out there, but perhaps it should be mentioned in the product description when they mention it could be used to decorate the doorway of a child's playroom/bedroom.Otherwise, it really is a lovely curtain that would look stunning hung up in a doorway. I was offered this product at discount for a honest review. Everything I have said is 100% genuine and my own opinion.

In the past, we've used various types of mesh screens to try and keep the bugs out, with varying levels of success. Most of them worked reasonably okay for a while, but always seemed to end up getting twisted or damaged, or falling off, thereby rendering it useless. So this year, we've tried one of these. And so far, we're very pleased with it. We wanted something like this primarily to stop insects coming into the house through our back door when it's open and this seems to be up to that task. In addition, it actually looks really nice, too, which is not something that could be said about the mesh screens we've used in the past.It was also the perfect size for our door, which I'm guessing is a standard sized UK door.Well worth the price. Quick delivery and it even came with some fitting pins. We needed a few more to fix it how we wanted, but still a nice surprise to get any at all, especially at this low cost.Oh and another bonus - this doesn't confuse the dog! With the mesh screens, he just sat there looking at it, having no clue it would just move aside if he walked through, but he seems quite happy to stroll in and out with this in place, so everyone is happy.

As you can see from the photo (and this is one side of two) - we used a total of 10 string curtains to cover two sets of bi-fold doors (you can see one set in the picture)With both sets of doors open into a room with a glass lantern roof, we’ve had terrible problems with flies (30 to 40 in per day) and wanted a solution that still looked great. We now get between 0 and 2 flies per day due to this product! I hope you can see from my picture that the view isn’t damaged too much at all by the curtains. Yes, they do occlude the view a bit - but they add a sparkle in the morning sunshine that is lovely.Other people that have seen them comment that they are great looking.Fixing was easy - we purchasednet curtain wire and a pack of hooks - very small drill used to pilot holes for the hooks and spaced them every 45 cm to ensure perfect lines at the top.Delighted with how this came out - we did not need to double up to be an effective fly screen. Good luck with your own project!

Bought a set of two last year and was very pleased with the white and sparkle effect and the quality. Decided this year to add two more sets adding more ruching to distract the flies across the double patio doors. Arrived quickly BUT the new sets are a shorter total length. Instead of a header of the stated 10cm it’s no more than 7-7.5cm, they hang 3-5cm shorter when side by side my original sets which were fully 200cm, and we’re ideal hanging below the doorstep lip, the new ones now blow ABOVE the doorstep allowing the flies in! VERY disappointed. If I want them to match I will have to cut the long ones to match and make the whole purpose of keeping flies out a bit of a pointless effort! These were not an offer price, but because they were previously so good, I was happy to pay that bit more. Feel a bit short changed this year to be honest, I know it says approx, but I didn’t expect sets to be so different! So dropped 2 stars this year!

This was ordered to decorate a hall ready for a surprise party and it really offers the wow factor if you're looking for a really striking entrance. The curtain is made up from a succession of shimmery silver strands, with a 2 metre drop. This filled the doorway for the party and gave the large doorway a good coverage. I think, if you were using it for a standard house doorway you may need to cut it down. It's really lightweight and easy to hang. We just pinned it to the door frame but I think you could use tape or even blu-tack as an alternative. The lightweight strands of the curtain do tangle a little but it's worth the hassle of that for the swish and sparkle of the curtain as you pass through it.It would make the perfect party decoration and I'm going to put it away for use in our house at Christmas.I received a discount on this item in exchange for my honest and objective review.

This is a very generous curtain measuring 43" across and almost 6' in length. The strings are spaced almost 1cm apart and provide enough space to comfortably view through. The curtain can be cut to size allowing fittings even in a window. The curtain is comprised of white string with flecks of silver wound through it, which capture the light beautifully. The curtain is very lightweight and can be secured in any doorway with just a few drawing pins. Our little boy has specially needs and he loves the curtain, the way it captures the light and the soft texture when you walk through it. We have now placed it in his doorway where there is not a lot of traffic and less chance of it being pulled off or tangled.Disclaimer: I was offered this product at discount for a honest review.Everything I have said is 100% genuine and my own opinion.

We needed a fly screen/curtain as we have cattle farms nearby, so "Perfect As A Fly Screen" caught our eye.It arrived on time.Although it had no rod/pole, I bought a length of dowel and some hooks and it was installed outside of the kitchen door (to the garden)We wanted something different rather than one of those old style multi-coloured plastic strip affairs. This is certainly different - It wouldn't look out of place in a hairdressing salon or nail bar. We wonder if our neighbours are expecting us to burst out into the garden and perform a Shirley Bassey or Frank Sinatra routine. It looked a bit flimsy, but to be fair it stood up to our opportunist cat swinging on it within two minutes of its installation. Most importantly - It has reduced the fly/wasp kitchen invasion to zero, which was the whole point.

I wasn’t sure this item would be any good due to some previous reviews .. but I love this item! Normally I get a lot of flys soon as I open my back door however the last few days I haven’t had any! Yes there are spaces between each bit of string and yes they can gather together a little but just running your fingers through them seperates them easily. Flies don’t come in through the gaps either. The glitter and colour match with my kitchen too so when the door is open it matches and looks lovely. It also gives an element of privacy from overlooking neighbours. The curtain was also the perfect length and width for my backdoor so I didn’t need to cut it. I simply used net wire with hooks into my door frame.Took minutes to put up. Also easy for my dog to still get in and out. Very happy with my purchase!

Bought these to try to decrease the number of insects and butterflies in our conservatory. To be honest I didn’t expect them to work. I have been pleasantly surprised providing I keep the windows closed and the French doors open with the curtains in place there has been a huge improvement. We’ve had them up a month now they don’t tangle but they do tend to stick together we’ve just been running our fingers through them to separate. They don’t look to awful either we have white as the inside of our conservatory is white. We had to hang them from a curtain pole which is held up by Aikzik self adhesive hooks so they are a little short but it was the only way we could hang them.So far so good in a very hot south facing conservatory they haven’t fallen down!! Dog and 2 cats pass through no problem.

I wanted this for my back door, I previously had beads, they were strong and well weighted but were 2 foot short and because they were so rigid the gap was too wide between them and the wind hardly moved them that the flies just flew in, whereas, these maybe a little light but they are perfect, they are very long and the width is very good, they do separate quite a bit and stick together but when the wind blows they move and this also stops insects from coming in, a great price for a great product, good looking as well, I am just about to order another one and maybe I will combine 2 together, not sure how long they will last but overall I am impressed.

We have had a big problem with flies getting in the house, so i wanted something that would keep them out without being too obtrusive. This was simple to put up, tho it did not come with anything to use. (I used pannel pins to nail it in above the door on the inside)It is wide enough that i had to fold it over in places, but not quite long enough to reach the floor. We have seen a marked improvement over the number of flies (down from a good dozen and more a day to maybe one, mostly none).Overall, i like this product and am glad i bought it, much better than having to gas the house with fly spray whenever we want the back door open.

Bought 2 of the white ones. I think these look lovely. My husband however is not so keen. I put them on the door of our log cabin and he says they look like he's entering a ladyboys show as they are so sparkly in the sun! Inside the cabin they look a lot less shiny and let's be honest here, I bought them to keep the hoards of flying creatures which invade the cabin on a warm day, due to near abandoned house next door with their overgrown thicket garden. They work well as fly curtains and are easy to walk though, even holding food or drink, without catching. I will just buy a shade darker one for Chez Disco now to shut hubby up.

This is now installed on my back door from kitchen to garden. It's pretty and it does help keep the flies out of the kitchen.I bought these self adhesive tabs (I already had the curtain pole from a previous curtain) https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007SLYNYS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1and for an extra touch and to keep it weighted I bought a pack of mini bells to sew onto the end of each string https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01AVQRM9Y/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1It looks lovely and I think I will get another one for next year, just to increase the protection from flies.

I bought these a few years ago to put up my kitchen door to keep flies out I must say they work perfectly well and with the glitter in the curtain they sparkle really well in the sunshine. My granddaughter throws them about she even twists and plaits them plus the dog walks through them all the time and I have never had a problem with them tangling up I have not washed them in the washing machine but I have washed them by hand they come out a little tangled but once pegged on the line the wind blows them out. I would recommend these they look lovely when up. You thread then on a pole and you're good to go.

An inexpensive attempt to keep the flies from coming in our back door at home. Seems ok so far. Lightweight, easy to fit (you will need something to thread through the curtain and some hooks). Very white and has a silver thread through it which makes it rather shiny. Bought it because of the price, not to be fashion forward and to see if it would work to scare the flies away. Here's hoping. It's not made of plastic and it doesn't make a loud slapping noise as you go through it like the plastic strips. However, it does catch on things a bit if you're not careful. Guess you can't have everything!
