I am a hobby woodworker, and the MOF001 was one of the first tools i purchased. I have it for 3 years, and for that time i used it on several projects. I also bought the accessory kit which came with bushings, dust extraction etc. As I read other reviews I noticed something amusing. My router came with a 1/2" collet and router bit, but I live in a country with only metric bit shanks on the market. I searched for a while for 12mm collet but gave up when i found it was available only in australia or smth. I woud have switched the coollets with someone but now i have so many 1/2" shank bits that it's not wort it. They made a mess with the switch to metric, but at least now you can obtain both types of collets in Europe.Anyway, the best part about that router is that you don't have to buy a separate router table. The baseplate can be mounted on a peace of MDF and hang the router from it. I saw that in a review and it worked like a charm. The dust extraction nozzle can be mounted on the router base and the only thing you need is a peace of straight lumber and some cheap clamps and you have a great router table. If you go with other brands, you have to reach deep in your pocket to get the same versatility. With the MOF001 you get everything you need to get started.I'll separate the review in section :1) SafetyThere are several safety features - The collet is released in two stages. There is some elaborate thread that can't just loosen during operation. One time I had the collet loosened but it still held the bit securely.Another feature is the clear plastic guard that lets you see what you're doing without getting splinters in your face (the plastic is not anti static so it attract fine dust when routing mdf etc.). It helps dust extraction a lot too.Safety switch. It's a love/hate relationship with that switch. You have to push some clear plastic spring loaded thingy to power the router and it laves the switch accessible for fast switch-off. It works quite well, but when you're trying to start the router in a tight spot without moving the router it gets tricky. Maybe the spring loaded switch guard is too tense.Dust extraction - reasonable amount of dust goes in to the shop vac. Some of it goes out, but you can't expect a festool grade dust extraction from a tool that is quarter of the price.2) AccuracyThe router is well made and there is no wobble when you plunge. There are several ways to control the depth with various accuracy - by turning the side knob, micro andjustment(if not stripped) and preset dept stop. There is also a lever to fix the depth.3) ReliabilityIt still works the way it worked when it was new (excluding the micro adjustment.. actually including that. It never worked, even as new.)4) Ease of useIt just fits in my hands and all the features are fairly easy to use - depth adjustment, dust extraction, parallel guard, circle template, bushing installation/centering,baseplate installation, automatic collet lock when plunged etc. The overall design is of high quality. So, the major Cons: The thread for micro adjustment stripped down very fast. I never took the damn thing apart, so maybe there is some kind of easy fix, but for now it just keeps its position and i just have to lift the router with one hand while turning the knob to get it to move. That doesn't bother me too much but it's annoying. Another downside is that it came in a cardboard box, but you can always get a systainer or something else to put everything together.TL:DR That router sparked my love for woodworking and i find it reliable and versatile. It gets the job done without spending a fortune and if you're a novice you get everything you'll probably need for most of your projects.

This Triton router was a replacement for a Worx 1/2 inch router. The old router was about £80 and the Triton obviously a bit more, but what a difference in performance and features. Mounting it in a router table meant that the height adjusters became very useful items. The old router had to be wrestled into different heights, but the Triton is easily adjusted from below or with the optional adjusting handle, from above (even easier - I made one myself). Very fine height adjustments are now quick and accurate. The start/stop button cover is a bit of a fiddle initially to use, but you soon get used to it, and is for safety I suppose. The availability of spares is very good, which is where the cheaper routers fail miserably. The extra base plate is again good quality and nicely made and the tightening nut substantial. To sum up, if you want a superior quality routing task done accurately and quickly, then this router is worth its weight in gold.

Im a woodworking enthusiast from the Philippines and this is my first time to make on-line purchase at AMAZON UK. Great experience, the item was delivered at my door in just 4 days, could have been earlier if it didn't arrived on a weekend. The box contents complete and all brand new.I decided to purchase Triton router after doing some research and reading favorable user reviews. Initial functional tests upon receipt shows that this router works great. What I really like is the safety interlock that will keep it switched off while changing the bits. I have done few plunge routing using a straight bit that comes with it while still waiting for the delivery of additional router bits.I intend to use it in a router table but I still have to build one. Will post update later..

This Triton system works well, I love the safety features, locking spindle, single spanner operation to change the cutters. I did have to drill the mounting plate to mount the fine adjustment spindle, but once done it proved to be a great improvement to the router's ease of use. The switch interlock cover will not let the unit turn on when the spindle is locked. The dust extraction connection on the hose adaptor on the router works well. I purchased the Triton table to go with the router. I wish I had this router years ago, a great deal of thought has gone into the design. I am impressed with the auto zero depth setting.

I bought this router for mounting in a router table. It comes with a handle that allows for adjustment of the router bit height from above the table, no more fiddling under the table.I've made quite a few raised panel doors with this set up and it coped easily.I highly recommend this router.

As a hobbyist my previous experience with a white-product type of router was frustrating. So I documented myself and selected the Triton router as probably the best design on the market. So far I am not disappointed. This tool is safe, efficient and well designed.

If you want a mountable router look no further, easy blade change and smooth motor. I've got this mounted to an Axminster router table with a no volts release switch added for safety. It's a great set up and accurate with minimal setup. Don't buy cheap, buy good.

Great router, both in freehand and table mounted. Very versatile, well thought out product. I had been ideally looking for a dual base mode for plunge and fixed base......with the genius of the triton design they are all accomplished with the single base.

Love this router - have bad arthritus in thumbs - found winding handles great and the through the base adjusted for the table mode works great - should have been included with the router really.Have tried many cuts and very satisfied.

Being an amateur I find this an excellent product. Good safety features. Like the soft start. Accurate and easy plunge control depths. Fits easily to the Triton router table.

A great router and a massive upgrade from a more basic B&Q etc. model. The through table fine adjust works really well, the depth stop is solid and it cuts very cleanly.

solid piece with wonderful features. i'd buy it again, even if the delivered router bit won't fit in the router...well, the bit is a giveaway
