I should have bought one of these years ago. It's my first floor pump. So instead of labouring away with my tiny 'emergency' pump, I just connect this and a few easy strokes later my tyres are inflated just right. If you've never tried one of these floor pumps it will be a revelation. The pump has Presta on one side of the adapter and Schroeder on the other. If there are other types of valve on bikes I don't know what they are. You also get an adapter to inflate footballs and other inflatables. My mountain bike uses Presta valves and the adapter locks on with a yellow lever. Because the pump is separated from the tyre by a tube, you're not putting any back and forth pressure on it so it stays in place while you pump.Still, the yellow lever feels just a bit flimsy and could be a failure point. At least there's no hissing of air leaking out while you're pumping. The pressure gauge is big and easy to read. It's really easy to pump tyres to the exact pressure you want. I can't say whether it would be good for the higher pressure you need in a road bike, but for a mountain bike at 50 psi or so it's no problem.

I bought this item after finding that my Halfords foot pump had died after just two years 'service'. The foot pump was not much use anyway as it was unstable in use and needed a lot of work to inflate even bike tyres. Before buying this I made the mistake of buying a RAC600 electric car tyre inflator. It proved entirely useless being Chinese made and it wasn't even able to inflate my bike tyres above about 25psi.The Joe Blow Max II arrived with no instructions about how to use it. Someone else has pointed out it's limitations in respect of air pressure (80psi). The label on mine said it was good for 120psi. It quickly inflated the tyres on my bike to 60psi,taking only 12 strokes from virtually flat.Although there were no instructions it was quite easy to use. The dual Scrader/Presta head and closure lever could do with some explanation for users though.Overall it seems to be fit for purpose, which is more than I could say for my previous devices.I hope it lasts.

Used mainly for bicycle tyres but also footballs, basketballs etc. Does the job brilliantly and seems very well made for the price. Comes with all the adapters you will need. By far the most effective product I have bought for my bike, clip it on the valve, couple of pumps. Done! The only possible criticisms would be, my 12 year old struggles to clip the lever into the locked position (but on every pump I have used this always requires a bit of force). Secondly, I would love a track pump that had a base big enough to make it stable. And the gauge could be a bit more detailed. Footballs require very low pressure compared to bicycle tyres, and the needle barely moves before they are at the right pressure, but who ever used a gauge to judge whether a football is at the right pressure, You give it a bounce! But you can buy this product, safe in the knowledge you will be chuffed to bits. It even looks pretty good.

For home usage this pump is perfect. It requires minimal effort and time to inflate tyres with both Presta and Schrader valves and my pump is showing no signs of wear after regular usage for well over a year now. The pump handle is also ergonomically well designed. For professional usage [in a cycle workshop] I have also used this unit and whilst it is the product of choice for the home user, continuous daily usage requires a hardier valve attachment. That said, NO pumps in this price range have such a design (we're talking upwards of £100 here). If you need a track pump, go buy one of these!

Why have I not done this before! Always managed manfully with handheld pumps for years, and with my first venture into a Roadbike (MAMILS - yes that's me now!), with a Presta valve, the handhelds that I have just didn't do the trick. This is just amazingly simple to use, and super quick. Plastic, but solid construction. I can't speak for the accuracy of the gauge, as nothing to compare it to, but seems to be absolutely fine.I now need to get a proper mini hand pump to carry around for those unfortunate punctures whilst on the road - any recommendations will be gratefully received.

This item was being sent by Royal Mail standard delivery. It arrived the very next day! I already knew this was a good pump because my Grandson has one for his road bike. My bike is a hybrid one and until now I had only pumped the tyres to 60psi because that was hard enough with my old foot pump. With the joe blow I easily got it to 80psi and the difference in ease and speed of riding was excellent. I hadn't realised what hard work I had been making for myself beforehand. Like other reviewers I have used it on my car with equal ease. Excellent product.

Brilliant pump, and comes with attachments for footballs etc. my previous Joe blow deluxe lasted me 10 plus years and this ones looks like it will as well. The head has a neat touch in that you can effortlessly pump both types of valve, without having to undo/change/do up anything. The head also clamps itself onto the valve, so you don't have to hold the pump with one hand and the head on the valve with the other - then you can use both hands to pump away and it is very quick and effective. the valve dial is easy to see and read.

Really happy with this pump. It's the 3 I have used (not due to breakage but other owners), all 3 work very well, no problems. I have also inflated car tyres with this pump. I inflate my MTB tyres to 60 PSI and road tyres to 100 PSI so this is just the ticket. I believe the max is 120 PSI. Very easy to use, strong pump. No problems. I've also got a 'mini-morph' pump from Topeak for out riding, the one with the small footpeg, and that is excellent too. Very impressed with the brand generally. 5* without question.

This is a good pump for the money and the only reason I’ve given 4 stars is it feels a little on the flimsy side. But I’ve used it a couple of times and it does a fine job of quickly inflating my tyres. The bit I’m most worried about breaking is the foot hold part of the stand. Only time will tell. The main body of the pump feels fine and the valve grip seems solid and sturdy. So overall based on the couple of uses I’d recommend it. If it does unexpectedly break I’ll update this review.

If you read other reviews, you will see that this pump is not truly designed for PSI's above 100. While this is true, with effort this will inflate my tyres to 110. If money is no object, go for a fancy pump. On the other hand, if you're trying to save a few quid, but get something for road bikes, this is the best option I've seen.Works a treat if you're inflating to "normal" tyre pressures, <80PSI

I've always had problems inflating my bike tyres, I even asked the local bike shop what they used and was told a hand pump. I could never get a good seal with the valve and more air always seemed to escape than enter the tyre. The struggle exhausted me.WIth this pump, I just clip it over the valve and after a few pumps job done - brilliant. I even have enough energy to ride the bike afterwards!

Having been a mountain biker for a while I have been ok with a standard pump but I have just taken a step to the dark side by purchasing a road bike! There was no way I could get up to 100psi on my little pump, this one does it with ease and I can use it on my other bike thanks to the duel pump head, no need to mess around changing things, just use the right head.Definitely recommended!

Simply the best ever pump I've owned. Works amazing well on my presta value tyres. What's different: The two sided value and locking thumb lever is excellent. Goes straight on. Locks into place with minimal air loss. Then in a couple of pumps my tyres are at 100 PSI. Wow - so much better than my previous Specalized Comp floor pump which leaked air like crazy. Would thoroughly recommend.

Already had a Topeka pump. And after many years of use. Decided it neeeded a refresh. As always made well. Does the job it’s intended for. No negatives. Hope it last as long my last one. Ten years and was still going strong. I just wanted a newer version. Good quality and delivered promptly, packaged well. So 5 stars all the way.

This pump inflates cycle tyres. It's worked for over six months (and is still working) without problem. I find it easy to attach and remove from the tyres however the one drawback it that the sockets for the valves are on opposite sides of the pump's head - you cant put your thumb there when fastening the valve.
