Here is a quick pro/con list for the pump. Also, mine came with a CO2 Cartridge, so maybe the item description is incorrect?Pros1. Presta/Schraeder compatible2. Flexible pumping hose3. Light, 97 grams4. Can use either CO2 or pump5. Detachable mount that holds 2 cartridges6. Small enough to easily fit in a jersey pocketCons1. Lots of pumping to get up to pressure (but this is expected for a tiny pump)2. I had a little bit of difficulty getting the hose to screw onto my presta valve and I lose a little air while removing it. Practice before you need it!3. Can pinch your hand with the handle against the pump body while pumping4. Requires threaded cartridges (pro and con really)

Not too heavy or bulky, it allows you to use CO2 cartridges (comes with a frame you can attach behind your water bottles for the pump and 2 cartridges) but also it provides you with a pump in case you have more than 2 flats, or if the cartridges fell short of filling your tire completely and you want to top them off. It goes up to 110, high enough for road bikes. Of course, you should carry a patch kit with it to be covered in case of multiple flats.Also, the flexible, retractable tube makes it much more comfortable to use and reduces the risk of damaging the valve by tugging it too hard.It'll take a while to fill an entire tire from scratch, but it beats being stranded.

I put this pump inside a water bottle along with a CO2 cartridge, a spare tube, and a patch kit. It ALL fit in a standard water bottle and I so now I can use one of my bottle cages to carry my flat repair kit.Not only is it compact and light, but it will work without CO2 if needed.My kit DID come with one cartridge, like another reviewer stated. The product description says it does not come with a cartridge, so your luck may vary. However, the packaging was clearly made with special compartment just for holding and displaying the cartridge, so if your luck is good, you'll get one too.

I have pumps that reach higher pressure easier, or fill faster, and I used to have another full combo pump similar to this made by another manufacturer. It, however, broke. Despite the fact that I have several pumps that I always grab for specific uses, this one is the easiest fill all with the exception of the fact that it has no pressure gauge. So, you just have to be comfortable estimating pressure if you are inflating tires in a longer distance ride where rolling resistance matters.

Nice to have both CO2 and hand pump combined. Like that holder has two spots for co2 cartridges. Very compact.
