I was given this toy second hand from a friend who's son had outgrown it and it has turned out to be my 9 month old son's favourite bath toy. He's not really interested in any of his other toys (ducks, boats etc), but as soon as he hears this one singing his whole face lights up, a huge grin comes on his face and he squeals in delight.Unlike the other reviewers I have not had any problems with the singing being too quiet, and can still hear him fine even under water. I agree that the 'arm's aren't really strong enough for him to be able to swim as such but that doesn't bother my son as he loves to watch his arms spin around in the air and he tries to catch them. This is simply a great little bath toy. Laying the penguin on his back makes him sing 'row row row your boat', and on his stomach it comes out as though he's underwater (obviously for effect in the bath) and the wind up flippers are great fun.I will just mention that in other reviews a complaint has been that the song is quieter when in the water, which of course it is. Please don't see this as a complaint though, as the only way it could be the same volume in the water as out of it is if the product entirely defied the laws of physics (sounds moves at a different speed in water, therefore it's quieter).Overall a great toy, very cute and lots of fun - totally worth the money.

I bought this toy for my little niece. She absolutely loves to be in the water and loves taking baths, so that was a good toy to get. It is much fun for her as it swims and gurgles and sings in the water.It was great fun for her and she wanted to play with it again and again and never got bored of it.The only problem is, that if you're an adult unfortunately once you've heard the song more than twice it will drive you absolutely crazy!But great fun for kids. It does however not have any educational value, it's just purely for fun.

Like most other reviews I agree this is a great little toy but does fail in the bath. Loud enough when dry but as soon as it gets wet you can hardly hear it. And doesnt really go anywhere fast either. But my little girl still loves it and plays with it outside the bath all the time. Its a cute little song he sings and she loves to sing along with him (and so does her dad unfortunately!!).

my two year old adores this toy. it may be described as a bath toy, but this penguin went everywhere with him on christmas day - in the basket of his scooter, on the dinner table, and in his cot at the end of the day. the song splashy sings is infuriatingly catchy, and the gargled version of the song he sings when tipped face down has just the right touch for adult sick minds out there.

I bought this toy for my son a year ago, when he was 6 months old. He loved it then, and loves it still today, so much so I have used it for entertainment during air travel, bath times, distraction when he is upset. At 18 months, now he moves his head to the music and is trying to wind it up himself and it is still working despite being used almost daily! I highly recommend it!

Fantastic! when you tilt it upside down in the water it sounds like the penguin is singing underwater and when on his back, it is nice and clear. 4 stars as it could be louder. To make him start singing, you just push his hair. You can wind his arms and then he flaps in the water. We have left it submerged in water and it still works fine a couple months down the line!

My little girl loves this penguin...and so do I! He does a fantastic row row row your boat when swimming on his back, then gurgles it when on his front in the water! The only real downside is that he is just a bit too quiet and especially if you wind up his flippers too his singing gets drowned out!Still, a worthwhile purchase.

Bought this for my 2 year old niece she absolutely loves it, its brilliant it shoots around the bath singing then when you turn it face down it carries on singing in bubbly voice, absolutely brilliant,its well made with lovely bright colours, she cant wait to get in the bath highly recommend this.

Purchased for 8 month old grandson who adores his bath. Very much an energetic child who loves to man handle everything but this has him beaten! Only downside is the voice is almost inaudible in the water esp when on its back. But a good robust little toy which can be used out of water!

Love this item, saw it in a shop and automatically tried to find one cheaper - Amazon came up cheapest so ordered straight away.Delivered within 3 days as always.Thanks Amazon!I personally think the penguin's singing is hilarious so my 18 month old daughter is sure to love it :P

Love it can't wait for my Grandson to have it. Even my Daughter whose 31yrs loves it, but she is into penguins. It came well packaged and on time. Every little one will love having there baths with this item. If you can imagine a penguin could speak the niose it makes is great.

Amazing!!! I love it's scacastic voice! I giggle everytime I hear it sing. It's a good volume so you can hear it but it doesn't send you mental! If you turn it face down it sings as if it's under water. Hilarious! Best bath toy ever. My daughter quite likes it too!

This was a favourite toy of my oldest grandchild. It has been mislaid in lots of moves in different countries. Now, 6 years and 2 little sisters later, it is a hit toy again in the bath. He sings the song they all know too, "Row, row, row the boat" Brilliant

Baby loves this - if I could give it ten stars I would.A great toy for bath time and well and truly water proof - certainly not a toy thats going to break easily. Penguin will be a toy that lasts for years.Highly Reccomended!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
