This little wind up bath toy is perfect for infant and toddler bath times, there are no batteries to worry about being exposed to bath water, it's bright, fun and engaging to be honest paddling doggy was a hit straight out the box even before it got to the bath and has been brought back out of the bathroom for regular play too.The toy is well designed and had no floating or balancing issues, paddles well through the water and bubbles and the winding mechanism is designed for little fingers to be able to have a go too and build their fine motor skills (though this will be more practical and suitable for older toddlers than a 10 month old!)it also drains easily meaning you don't get the black gunk!Ideal for teaching row row row your boat especially if like us you have squirty bath toy crocodiles for the second verse!

Suitable from 10m this is a cheerful, wind up bath toy. It is quite large, so easy for small hands to hold. The bottom of the boat has a wind up mechanism and my little nephew could turn it easily and enjoyed making the puppy paddle across the bath.My nephew was a little upset you couldn’t take the puppy out of the boat, but he enjoyed playing with it. The boat is large enough that he could balance small toys in front of or behind the puppy – meaning that he could carry out daring rescues! Good fun for babies and toddlers and ideal for baths or paddling pools. The puppy also has nice, textured ears for babies to chew on.

Our three year-old daughter absolutely loves bath time (we are lucky, I know!). She has lots of different bath toys, from the usual squirties and cups to electronic ducks which plays a tune once in the water. This toy made a nice addition to her bath toys collection. She likes the prospect of winding it up and paddling by itself. Sometimes it does need a bit of a tougher hand so that it paddles fast enough. The reason for giving it 4 stars is because it is a bit too big, so it doesn't fit in her usual draining net bag.Overall, I would recommend it if you don't already have lots of bath toys!

The little one absolutely loves this paddling puppy. Firstly they love dogs and secondly they live bath toys so this was predicted to be a hit and I was right! The toy has a really simple wind up mechanism on the base and after a few turns on this you just slip it into the water and watch puppy paddle his canoe/raft. Great fun for little ones and a good way to teach basic cause and effect, promote fine motor skills by getting them to wind it themselves when they are old enough and to teach about forces. Aside from educational value it is just great fun - I enjoy watching it go myself!

The Tomy Paddling Puppy is an adorable gift for youngsters, aged 10 months and above,no batteries required as it is powered by,being wound up.Some children aren't keen on bathtime,so this cute toy will I am sure make bathtime more enjoyable. The product can also be a good distraction for the youngster while Mum or Dad get their child nice and clean,as some children can find bathtime frightening or a chore. This would also be a ideal toy to take on holiday,so that while away form home, the youngster can something familar to see at bathtime.A great practical gift and very cute too!

The TOMY Paddling Puppy is a really cute little toy to enjoy at bath time. The puppy is easy to wind up and then he splashes away to the great delight of those sharing the water with him. He's been of great success particularly to one little one who really doesn't enjoy baths, but thanks to his paddling antics she's now distracted enough to at least make the bathing experience bearable for all concerned. There's not a lot else to it, but then there wouldn't be, it is what it is and does what it's intended to do and very successfully at that.

Our kids really enjoy this paddle toy in the bath. It is of a reasonable size so even our one year old can handle it easily. The only reasons for not giving it five stars is that it fills with some water which then tends to make it a bit grimy if not cleaner regularly and the mechanism is a bit vulnerable to being handles too roughly. Time will tell whether it is a keep or just around for a few months.

You will need a strong pair of cutters to get the paddling puppy out of the packaging as he's held in by two thick, strong plastic ties. Once removed he is a lot of fun, he is quite large and has soft, rubbery ears. Underneath is a winding mechanism and he goes for a long time on a wind, leaning from side to side as he dips his paddles in the water. Very well made, a quality toy, we like him.

This is a good quality bath toy, it floats well and is easy enough for young children to wind up by themselves. My 4 and 2 year olds were initially quite excited by it but the novelty wore off quite quickly. I think it might be better in a paddling pool as it is quite large and I think it got in their way in the bath.

We have had 3 of these over the past year and can say that they make such excellent bath toys in that they are enjoyed for their detail/ colour stays true even after much soap and shampoo and they drain away entirely- 12 months later our Winnie the Pooh honey pot version is still going strong...

The kids love this! Wind it up and watch it go, it actually rows! The kids love their bath toys - well they just love the bath, full stop - but this one has quickly become a favourite, they think it is hilarious! It's a fun toy and being made by Tomy, you know it will last forever.

This is a nice bath toy, my daughter has perhaps been deprived of these things compared to her elder brother. The surprise is that it's about 6" long, I was expecting a much smaller toy, the winder on the bottom is large and easy to grip and it's got a nice action.Cute toy.

Forget the rubber duck, Tomy is much more interactive. You wind him up and he rows his little dinghy round the bath. Mind you, his sense of direction isn't great and he is inclined to run into the side of the tub, but that just gives baby a chance to help him out.

Great wind up bath or splashing pool toy. Only minus with packaging holes it sucks water as dog paddles and eventually drowns deeper and deeper in water. And quite quickly runs out when it has been winded up.Quite large bath toy too.

My boys love playing with this. You wind it up and it paddles well through the water. It's much better than a lot of the bath wind-up toys you get as it stays upright and doesn't sink. It's nice and bright and good quality too.
