The word deluxe and baby mat don't really have to go together as my baby will just as happily lie on an old towel as any fancy flooring. However, something a little prettier does make the house look nicer and if it has added elements it will help entertain your baby as they develop. The 'Tiny Love Deluxe Gymini' is a standard play mat, but with a few extra touches that shows the quality. Like many of these mats you have to construct the arches by clicking them into the corners and then attaching them together in the middle. One of the elements you are paying a little bit of a premium here for is the central housing; this acts as a way of keeping the two struts together and not pinging around the place. It is a very appreciated and simple fix.Elsewhere the mat is quality; the toys themselves are plush and full of interactive elements. Best is the musical/noise making bird. Designed to slide into the central housing it is easy to secure and stays in place. I was very impressed at the sheer range of noises and songs on offer; I lost count. In the past I became used to the same three or four songs on repeat, but here they are numerous enough that it has not been an issue. A nice touch is that the music will play should the central bird noise maker be hit; another great interactive layer. There is quality throughout the 'Tiny Love Deluxe Gymini'. Some will question the aesthetics slightly as the large eyed animals are a little twee, but at least they are bold and clear for a baby to focus on. The white base was also an interesting option as it stains more obviously. I also think that the slick material chosen is waterproof yes, but a little cold at first and will need warming slightly for more sensitive children. Aside from a couple of mishaps, this is a high quality play mat that if you like the look of would be a good purchase for a 1-6 month old. The plentiful songs and quality alone make it a better purchase than many on the market. These elements can be removed from the mat at a later date and played with for years.

I’m reviewing the “Into The Forest” version of this playmat, not the “Tiny Princess Tales” version that’s under the same product heading and which seems to be twenty quid more expensive, for no reason I can see as the product photos make it look identical apart from the colours. I prefer the Into The Forest colours anyway, they’re more subdued, and also more gender-neutral for anyone who’s bothered about that kind of thing and who’s thinking this playmat may have a lifetime of more than one baby.Compared to the playmat we had for our eldest, this is softer and a bit thicker, but inevitably still a little plasticky due to it needing to be washproof. The electronic bits are as annoying as almost every other electronic baby toy- obviously tiny babies probably won’t be fussed for the sake of the parents I wish more baby toy manufacturers put the effort into making their relentless noise-making machines produce noises that could be described as either realistic or pleasant, but unfortunately what you get is often neither.Other than that the quality is OK- reasonable stitching making durable objects that, despite having some rather thin bits (for example the deer’s legs), are likely to withstand a reasonable amount of pulling and sucking. Our second-born absolutely refused to be on playmats, full stop. If you ever put him down on one, he would wail until you picked him up. Bizarrely he was fine when left on a carpet or a sofa but put him on a playmat and it was waaaaaaaaah. He’s too old to judge it now but some babies are just anti-playmat it seems. In a word I’d describe this playmat as “alright”. It’s pleasant and sweet and there’s nothing about it that makes it stand out from the crowd for better or worse.

My baby absolutely loves this gym. I spent quite a while researching which one to get and I was very pleased with my decision. One of the reasons I chose this one is because it looks nice - very important if it is going to be up in my living room for months! The main thing I was looking for though, was something to engage and entertain my baby, which it really achieves! There is a good variety of interesting toys for baby to grab and to look at. The mat itself is interesting and although my baby doesn't particularly like tummy time, he does like to crinkle the ears on the bunny support so will stay for a few minutes. His favourite is the owl that clips in and out of the top of the arch.He smiles and coos to it.We tend to just leave ours up because it is used daily, but it does fold well for storage. It was a bit fiddly to fasten the arches down with the poppers the first time we put it up, however this does get easier on subsequent times. The toys make crinkle noises and the bee had a lovely chime sound, they can be swapped around to give baby some variety. Also they easily clip off so they can be played with away from the mat, and so other toys can be placed there also. We have added a crinkle tag lion that our son particularly likes.I would highly recommend this. My baby is 5 months old (although was early so 3 months corrected) and has got loads of use out of this. Although it isn't one of the cheapest, it is good value for money based on the use. I have 3 other children so we have used other play gyms in the past, but this is by far my favourite.

This playmat is seemingly doing the trick by keeping the littlest one occupied in relatively fuss-free way. The mat itself is quite tough and covered in the usual water-repellent fabric as expected, and there are little interactive elements around the edge - some of which seem a little feeble to my adult mind, such as some small loops of ribbon, but then even these seem to draw some attention and are something gentle to hook little fingers into. The arches can be adjusted in position from full height down to a lower slope, depending how upright your baby is and to allow things to be in greater reach when lying down, or you could just remove them entirely.I’m not mad keen on the musical-playing parts as they sound shrill and tinny. It must take some effort to make it sound as awful as this, but small developing ears probably don’t much care about it. I do though.I would say that the outer packaging probably doesn’t need to be quite so low-level when it comes to the marketing language. Ultimately it’s the grown-ups that are going to be researching and buying this thing, not the baby, so the manufacturer could do away with some of the primary-school grade bullet-points etc.All-in-all, it’s a functional and effective playmat with some interactivity encouraging pieces and slightly irritating noise-making functions, plus some texture and sight-response elements to the design. It is nicely designed and practical, although personally I think that for nearly £50 (at time of review) that seems a bit steep to me.

This woodland themed play mat is so cute, and it's gender neutral meaning it's ideal on multiple levels, it's great to reinforce that toys are toys to children from early on toys aren't gendered, it's also useful if you aren't finding out the gender at all, and it's also great if you do know what you are having and you don't want BLUE TRUCKS! or PINK PRINCESSES! We certainly endeavoured to make our baby things cute but gender neutral if only to offset the plethora of pink that ensues from well meaning gift givers when you have girls. The only thing in my mind that lets down this playmat is the electronic toys, they are tinny and shrill which is unfortunate especially for the price point.Play mats can be lifesavers when you've got a small baby, unfortunately with my first two the play at didn't get much time mostly because my eldest was pretty much a snuggler and wanted to be held and would cry if put in her mat plus I could indulge her as she was my first, and my second had dislocated hips and was in a harness for the first 6 months of her life so her mat time was limited from that factor. A third baby however like many younger siblings may have to like a mat because of the need to be present with older siblings too, besides if there are no physical factors preventing so, these mats are excellent for gross motor development particularly tummy time so there are benefits other than freeing up parent hands!

When my MIL offered to buy our new baby a gym we asked for a tropical jungle gym which was very pretty, unfortunately that gym falls over if you breathe the wrong way and has never held our infant's interest. After humming and arring over whether or not to purchase this since we already have quite an expensive gym by a reputable brand that was purchased for us as a gift, I decided to give this one a go. We are so glad that we ordered this gym as our baby is now 3 months old and as soon as we put him down on it he was cooing and hitting out at the dangling toys. This gym is easy to assemble, easy to position the toys, and gratefully it came with batteries for the hedgehog toy (which our son enjoys batting and making the connection between cause and effect it would seem!). I was wary about buying this when it is only supposed to be for up to 6 months and with our baby being half that already, but he is so captivated and stimulated by it that it was 100% worth the money. I had read that high contrast images such as black and white would be visually stimulating for an infant and it certainly does the trick. As a first time parent it is so pleasing to see him finally engaging with one of the toys he has been bought, whereas even if we lay him on the other mat now he barely engages. Not all gyms are created equal!

Really like this playmat, which is far larger than the previous one I had, meaning it will still be usable as baby passes the one-year mark. There is oodles of stimulation here too, from mirrors to squeezy, crinkly and rattly toys (all removable) that dangle overhead, and most notably an amazing bird that has four key features: it can play nursery rhymes, it can react when baby presses the button on its stomach, and it can record a 10 second clip of anything baby or parent says, and then replay it back. This is great for building baby's aural recognition skills. The mat comes with clear instructions, and the poles are easy to fit onto the mat, attached with press studs to the mat - way more secure than the hooks on my previous playmat. The playmat material is soft and can be wiped clean easily. There is also a crinkly pear on the mat, and a small rubber toy.The only reason I haven't given this five stars is because the nursery rhymes cannot be selected. You can press the button on the bird to cycle through them, but in order to get to the one you want you have to skip over all the others first. There is also no volume control on the bird.Otherwise, this mat is really good, will last several years, and offers plenty of stimulation for baby.

I love this mat as it is easy to assemble, brightly coloured and comes with fun lights and a music toy. This activity mat is suitable from birth up until 18 months or thereabout. It comes with a number of features which I found really makes this a great product -1) electronic music owl which also serves as a voice recorder. You can record and re-record over previous recordings. Good way to get baby to listen to your voice when you are not with them.2) adjustable arches which helps create more room on the mat and offers more play modes.3) carrot teether4) tummy time pillow with crinkly ears5) rattling fox6) a picture frame that turns into a mirror7) bee wind-chime8) crinkly raccoonI like how big the mat is,usually with these play mats/gyms they’re a lot smaller but this one is a bit larger which is good because it gives more space for the baby to move around and if there are any siblings or friends, they can share the space. I also like the fact that most of the characters like the owl, bee, raccoon, etc can be detached and attached to baby’s car seat or push chair.Overall, a fantastic product however, a little bit on the pricey side.

I’d been considering this but thought it looked pricey but it appeared on a Lightning Deal so I thought I’d give it ago. Now I’ve got it I think it’s well worth the published price as compared to the one I had for my last child it’s really clever. It has lots of avtivities and the arches have a slide mechanism so you can open them wider so her brother can also fit on the may with my daughter. The toys also come off and can be used on her car seat, stroller etc and it seems like she already sees them as her “friends “........she certainly doesn’t like it if her brother takes any of them :-)The best bit (for me, he hastens to add!) is the little bird that you can record about 10 seconds or so of messages which we’ve been having loads of fun with. It’s not a one off message as you can re-record and keep it fresh. Great to see her reactions when she hears her mum but she’s not in sight........priceless!Now I’ve got it I would definitely pay full price for it as I now realise why the last one I had was a bit cheaper!

Originally received a faulty product with a missing tab but amazon was speedy and exchanged it for me. The second was perfect. This is really really cute. I bought it because I'm partial to woodland animals. I find it adorable. My baby is only 2 months old but she likes it enough to keep her distracted for about 10-15 minutes at the moment. I'm sure once she's able to grab and move a bit more she will be in it longer. The animals have wide eyes and little features to entertain baby. Such as crinkly or vibrations etc. It's smaller then I thought it would be but we have a small house so it works well. The owl plays music that's not entirely too irritating and a little light. Baby enjoys looking at the light.I worry the fabric will rip when adjusting the positionings but I try to be careful because I think it's a great feature when doing tummy time. All in all, it's a bit expensive for what it is. However these sort of playmats always are. You are paying for the theme really. I don't regret buying it.

This looks impressive. This is suitable for zero months and onwards. You get a beautiful, colourful floor mat 43" x 35" and this has a 'feelable' tree attached to it.There are two 'curves' which attaches to the mat. These can go behind baby or over the top of baby so they are suitable for before baby can sit up and after baby can sit up. A delightful selection of soft toys can be hung from the struts and moved about. These include a bee and butterfly cloud mobile, a carrot teething ring, a squashy raccoon, a bee wind chime that jingles, and a fox that rattles and a bird that lights up and plays sounds. The bird needs three AAA batteries which are not included. There is also a mirror and there is a rabbit -shaped cushion for when baby is on his or her tummy. This baby gym is liked by baby and parents because it really tires baby out, so this is a big plus. The padded mat is machine washable. There is an English address from Borehamwood in Hertfordshire. And also a website Tinylove.com.

The standout feature of this baby gym is, for me, the adjustable arches. I've never seen a baby gym wise arches adjust before and it makes so much sense I'm amazed more don't have this feature! Essentially it makes everything more accessible for tiny babies and then allows you to increase the height when baby can reach up higher as they grow. This feature reduces the amount of frustration previously endured by tiny babies because they couldn't reach the toys in the arch.Having mentioned toys, this baby gym is packed with beautiful, baby friendly and cute looking toys that will engage baby and promote development. They will enjoy their tummy time (which can be tricky for some),be stimulated by the bright colours, different textures and variety of sounds (e.g crinkles and rattles). This baby gym is finished to a high quality and a lot of thought had gone into its design to make it more accessible to babies of any age and stage. Highly recommended!

I'm very sceptical when it comes to baby toys, As the safety of my daughter is extremely important to me. This play gym mat ticks all the boxes when it comes to safety and comfort. The mat is well padded and has a range of toys that help to enhance muscle memory and motor skills. The mirror is one of my favourite feature as it helps my baby to understand 'self' just enough to start learning more about self awareness, And the musical toys are soothing and educational at the same time. It has 20 types of activities, Keeping my baby happy and occupied for hours, But i would recommend supervising, And placing it in a soft low place where she can't fall. This is suitable for most growing babies and the only downside i can see is that the batteries may need changing a lot,Depending on the amount of use. I bought batteries in bulk to make sure that it would not run out of power any time soon.

I wasn’t expecting to even unpack this yet but at only 5 weeks old, my son LOVES it.He spends most of his limited awake moments kicking away on the mat, starring up at the toys and today he was able to grab one for the first time. The musical bird is not too loud or repetitive and the colourful lights are a great way to extend his time on the mat when he shows signs of getting bored. The design is colourful without being garish and the whole thing can be easily packed away for storage or travel. The toys are all detachable so can be moved around or added to pushchair, etc. There is also a rabbit cushion that can help with establishing tummy time.I have yet to use it,but one of the toys also comes with a voice record feature. All in all a great play mat with lots of interesting extra features.
