Tile Pro (2020) - 1 PackUsing the Tile Pro (2020.) NewThis is a tracker device making it easy to keep valuables --like high-end gadgets, car keys, wallets, designer bags, and outdoor gear --findable and safe. The App has not , as of mid October been updated for this model but the current tile pro within the App can be used.As with everything nowadays you need to set up an account and receive a PIN number and confirm your email to get up and running with yet another password to go wrong. This was fairly straightforward and following the on screen prompts it set up without any issues. It says that this high-performance finder has a 400 ft range, the loudest ring and a 1-year replaceable battery.Previous models had a 200 ft range. Earlier models had a non replaceable button cell but this annoyance has been remedied. The CR2032 battery should last 12 months.Having set location services and Bluetooth to On the App will show as Bluetooth connected once paired but within the settings on my device it did not list it as a connected device even though it is.In use and when you open the App to locate the Tile it will ring and you can cancel through the App or by pressing the button on the tile once you find it.If you ask Alexa after setting up in Skills , “ Alexa, ask tile for the location of my wallet” you first get advised of the last location and are then asked if you want to ring. The odd thing to me is that when using the tile to find your phone by double pressing the button you seem to need to open the App and close it to stop the ringing. Not sure if this is by design or the button option on the finder does not cancel it.I am always concerned about my phone battery life and having location services and Bluetooth permanently “On” both of which are needed for this device to function most effectively do not help that issue.I was wondering whether car keys within a RFID pouch could be detected. As my car keys can be cloned I have as recommended a RFID container within the house. I was surprised to find that the tile when put inside it could just as easily be activated. I then read that Bluetooth operates on the 2.4GHz frequency band across 79 channels and remote keyless entry is operating at 433 MHz for European cars.I like the feature on the App showing the signal strength increasing as you get closer to the Tile when walking around. My experience of reviewing this product has been very favourable but reviewers of earlier products have very diverse opinions on the Tile Finder system and are worth reading.IOS 13 update. In order for Tile to perform, it needs to have access to both Bluetooth and location services on your device. The new iOS 13 platform changes the way you grant Tile access to these services. In order to make sure your Tile is able to connect to your device’s location services:1. Go into your device Settings, then tap Tile2. Under Allow Tile To Access, tap Location and select AlwaysIn order to make sure your device permits the Tile app to use Bluetooth:1. Select your iOS device’s Settings icon, then tap Tile.2. Under Allow Tile To Access, Turn On Bluetooth access

Tile Pro 2020Date of Review: 10th November 2019Price at time of review: £29.99I’ve previously had the Tile Sport which is very slightly smaller than the Tile Pro but you can’t change the battery on the Tile Sport. Also, the packaging on the Tile Sport used a lot of plastic. The Tile Pro had much more minimal packaging made from paper/card. So on two points the Tile Pro is a better choice environmentally not to mention that you don’t have to buy a whole new Tile when the Pro runs out.Pairing the Tile===========Once you’ve downloaded the app, pairing the tile is a pretty easy process, it required signing up but that’s to be expected for a product like this.Once you’ve got an account you click the plus icon on the app and the Tile logo on the Tile. I didn’t have any issues pairing either tile. Each tile can be named differently depending on what you have them attached to.Finding the Tile===========To find a Tile you just open the app and click “Find” on the Tile you want and the Tile will start chiming. You can choose between high, low and off. If you want to be a bit covert then the app does indicate when your closer or further away so you can get close before turning on the chime. This could be useful say if you wanted to make sure you were close before alerting anyone else.Finding the phone!==============The tile can also be used to find your phone by double pressing the Tile logo. This works fine but I found I couldn’t find a way to cancel the chime from the Tile, requiring me to find the phone. Nor did I get a notification on my Apple watch that I could cancel either.App===The app is simple and works well. I didn’t have any issues with it. The map also works well for finding the last known location of the Tile when it’s out of range.Practicality========The Tile Pro is reasonably compact and I’ve been carrying it around attached to my keys for a couple of weeks and I never found myself wishing it wasn’t there. While this model isn’t slim enough to go in a credit card slot in your wallet, it could go in a coin section and is about the thickness of two pound coins. One thing to note is that it is required that the app remain open and bluetooth turned on. I usually have bluetooth on anyway but I am aware that some apps can use a fair amount of battery in the background. With the Tile app, I didn’t notice any increase in battery usage and on iOS the battery report says Tile uses 4%. It would be nice to see this lower but that’s not too bad in my opinion. The one caveat with these is that once out of range, you rely on the Tile staying in the last place you were in range, or alternatively the Tile “community” which requires someone with the Tile app opened to come into range of your Tile. This means that to find something that’s stolen (assuming the tile stays with the item) then it could me more of a “someday I’ll find it” kind of affair rather than a GPS, Sim enabled tracker but those are a lot more expensive and have their own draw backs. All in all I think it’s a good product that’s nicely thought out and made.

This is a great little device with loads of potential uses. The tile itself is slightly larger than I was expecting...see picture for comparison to a 50p piece. It has a loop hole so you can easily connect to a set of keys or a clip that many bags have either inside or outside. It also has an easy to press button on the front of the tile. When opening the pack you don't get many instructions but a quick read of the simple bullet point quick start instructions is all you need. Essentially download the app and it's self explanatory. The app was fairly easy to find, if you type in "tile pro" rather than just "tile" you will avoid having to trawl through a load of tile based game apps.Once downloaded the app is user friendly, you need to sign up, which you can do via Facebook or email, I did the latter. A simple process of verifying your email and confirming a passcode and you are good to go.Using the app you can now track and call the tile to ensure you can locate and track your valuables. Pressing the find button plays a jolly tune which is easy to hear from a reasonable distance, you can choose other tones if you like by changing these in settings. You can also visually scan how close you are to the tile using a ring based tracker which fills up from the centre the closer you get to the device. There are a range of premium options which are interesting, I wouldn't really be interested at this stage in singing up for a £2.99 a month subscription but depending on your needs you may want to do so. There is a new feature which apparently is in beta development which will alert you if you leave the house without your bag/wallet/whatever the tile is attached to. Presumably by setting a maximum radius between your phone and the device. The other really valuable premium feature is that you can track more accurately where the device is located long range. My plan is that I have hidden the tile inside the case of my particularly favourite and expensive guitar. If I were to ever lose the guitar I would hopefully be able to sign up to premium and locate the tile. An extra bit of peace of mind when leaving my guitar around after gigs etc. It's a great device with so many handy uses.

It works, for the most part.I think my phone puts some aspects of the Tile app to sleep when its unused for a prolonged period of time as "Finding" it can take a long time and it makes me wonder if I ever actually lose it on a bus & its out of bluetooth range, if it'll be able to reliably tell me where it was last seen but time will tell.My personal instance, I bought it as to test for my father, as he keeps losing keys etc he has no mobile phone but he has an Amazon Echo that he's a great fan of so I was hoping I could buy him one and stick it onto his Alexa account and he can just ask her to find his keys etc and he can find what drawer/pocket he left them in.Unfortunately that isn't how it works,it requires a mobile phone & the Alexa intregration is very clunky - for example"Alexa, Find my Keys.""You have Tile enabled, do you want to open it?""Yes....""Now simply say Find my Keys/Phone etc.""Alexa, Find my Keys"(possibly it repeats above)"Ok!" .... wait, keys ring - clunky, but it works.... Afterwards Alexa may well ramble about some "Find My Things" feature which after setting up, changes nothing. However if you don't have a phone, Alexa does nothing.Basically, Alexa links to your phone - which links to Tile, which makes Tile ring etc so as a standalone way of finding items lost in your home without a phone for an elderly person, it's utterly useless. But, as a key finder with your phone - it's probably as good as any other of the premium brands out there.

I got this to help when my dog decides he wants to go socializing when I'm not paying attention, dont misunderstand I always give him loads of attention and have him very well controlled but occasionally he sneaks away to be social with others. Ive used it a few times and when activated he comes running back to me right away. The other day I dropped my wallet in a parking lot and discovered I lost it when I went to get it at a gas station. I opened the tile app and locator found it way far from where I dropped it. I went to the location that had now been updated twice, I looked at the locator again and it wasn't in range, so I checked hoods of cars and found a warm car next door, checked location again and now the rings.said it was in range. I knocked at the house and a man answered, I said I think you found my wallet and he looked at me confused but then replied yes I did and was going to report it to police tomorrow. He went to retrieve my wallet and I thanked him over and over for giving it back to me. I realized later I should have called for police back up but it was in a nice neighborhood and didn't feel threatened at all. Thank you tile for saving me hours and days of trying to replace IDs, credit cards, debit cards, medical cards, pictures, etc etc. Ordering the pro version today for myself and some friends for xmas!

I am beyond happy with this product, I bought it as an anniversary present for my boyfriend last October and it’s still going strong. He’s been trying to quit smoking for a long time now so is therefore a heavy vaper. The amount of times we’ve had to turn the whole flat upside down to find his vape so that he could get his nicotine fix was getting ridiculous. His vape had no way we could properly attach it to the tile so we duct taped them together in a rather crafty looking way ahah. His vape doesn’t really look as sleek as before but Jesus Christ has it been worth it! He uses it multiple times a day and has saved us from a lot of arguments. It’s been almost 6 months and it’s still going strong. He’s also pretty deaf despite being In his 20s and I was worried the ringer wouldn’t be loud enough but it’s very VERY loud, which is a good thing lol.I have now ordered myself the same pack of two as I misplace my keys and wallet from time to time too.I’d say ignore the hate in some of these reviews, they may have received a faulty item idk, but the ones I bought have worked nothing but perfectly and were totally worth the 50 quid for two price point!

I was skiing last week and hit an icy spot on a double black run and wound up going down the rest of the run on my back, sliding off the trail and stopping in deep snow. After collecting my thoughts, I got back on my skis again and continued my day of skiing without any other mishaps. Except for one thing. It seems I lost my keys someplace on the mountain and I expect it was when I fell. I then remembered that I had the Tike Key Finder on my keys and pulled out my phone and activated the Tile key finder app. Sure enough a map came up on my screen giving me my location and the location of my keys. My friends and I skied to the place the Tile App said my skies were and it was the same location that I fell earlier in the day.Because of the deep snow we couldn’t seethe keys, so I activated the sound function which sent out a beeping sound to my keys and we were able to hear the sound of the yen’s under the snow. We Doug up tge keys and everyone ewasamazed we found them. It saved me so much trouble as I would have lost my car key, house keys, and 2 fobs to unlock and start my vehicles. Great product

I’ve had the opportunity to trial other tracking devices similar to this tile but I have to say this one trumps them all. This tile is as thick as 3 credit cards stacked together which means it fits nicely into the wallet without bulking it out too much, ideally I’d like to see a slimmer version of this but obviously they haven’t got a battery slim enough yet. I would say if you cut your credit card in half that’s about the size of the tile itself. It has a loop hole which gives you versatility should you want to fasten it to the keys or a backpack or something else. Another good thing about the tile is it doesn’t need a SIM card like some other trackers do,however this does limit the distance quite a lot and you still need to pay a premium if you wanted to track it further away. There’s way too many subscriptions to sign up to these days so maybe this would put you off buying it, I know I wouldn’t be purchasing the premium. I’ve added several photos so you can see the app and how that works so I hope you find them useful.

This new (2020) Pro version has a replaceable battery, and extended range.it has considerably greater range (new bluetooth v5, so check your phone supports this level) otherwise it will still work, but the range will be shorter.Overall, impressive and the App works well.Considerations: daily warnings from the phone operating system that TILE APP is actively tracking my location - which is the ONLY way this will work, but TILE is a reputable (american) company and not chinese!Finding is dependant on you, or someone else, nearby actively using the Tile APP to find. The 'upgrade package' is not needed at all, and is in fact offered for free via the rival, lesser, NUT tracker.OVERALL:The new Tile Mate (2020)is almost as good, but has a lesser range. The new TILE PRO (2020); WOULD recommend, a good product, and probably the best of its type.NOTE; at the time of this review, all the other TILE products (ie except Mate and Pro) do NOT have replaceable batteries.

The item I received was the single tile. As you can see, pro rata the two-pack is cheaper, and the four-pack is cheaper still; most people will want to track more than one item, so you might be advised to buy one of the multi-packs. An alternative argument is that the single tile should be cheaper, to offer entry to a new user base (who might then be encouraged to buy more). If you are thinking about a multi-pack, note that the four-pack costs the same with or without the Echo Dot speaker, which on its own could cost around £30. A bit of a no-brainer, really.Anyhow: this is a simple and fairly cheap way to tag and track your items. It’s very easy to set up and use (this also applies to the iPhone app, which works very well). It has a small footprint, making it easy to put anywhere. The blurb claims super coverage. Personally I am a little sceptical about the location capabilities outside urban areas until the brand is better adopted.

I've had the Tiles in the past but the batteries dont seem replaceable and after about a year, they're done so the Pro is more pricey but the batteries can be replaced. Also I signed up for Tile Premium. Which I read into and apparently will send batteries every year, so that's good. The app is super convenient and I've used the tile to find my phone the reverse way as well as find my tiles on my keys. My biggest complaint is that it runs on bluetooth, so not a very far range. I wish that there was something like "find my phone" how you can sign into Google or Apple and see the phone location on a map. I really need the stickers to put on my remotes and the slim to put in my wallet,I'd like to put one in my passport and on my laptops but they are so pricey that I'll just have to wait until they go on sale and since I signed up for email alerts on the website, so I get notified about upcoming and ongoing promotions.

Tile has changed my life! Losing my keys was so stressful, frequent, but the Tile has really been a great purchase. So overall, very happy. My first Tile box (4 Tiles), were given to me 2 or 3 years ago; I was very happy until the built-in batteries wore out. They continued to work, even though messages from Tile told me that they needed replacing. Then, I updated the Tile app, and they just stopped working, which REALLY annoyed me because I assumed it was done on purpose to make me buy replacements. As a result, I stubbornly refused to buy any more- I thought that because they were working before the update, that it was very mean of Tile. Eventually, I bit the bullet and bought 4 more tiles - this time, with replaceable batteries. They didn’t work as well as my previous ones , but this was only because my iPhone 5s was only just supported by tile. I needed to get a new phone. I bought a new SE2020

This is a great little gadget that helps to stop things getting lost! Simply connect it to any keyring and you can use your phone to make it ring from anywhere within a 400ft radius - very useful when you've misplaced something. If you've lost something far away, you can use the tracking feature to narrow down the location (using a network of other users). Then once you are within range, you can activate the ringing to find it. The obvious use for this is to avoid losing your keys, but you could also attach it to any other valuable items for some added peace of mind. The downside is that you have to set up an account and install an app on your phone, but this is easy to do as long as you are happy to share your details with the manufacturers (a trade-off you need to decide is worth it for the benefit of not losing your keys) - I knocked one star off for this though.

This is fantastic. Especially in those moments of panic, when in a rush.Great features include;Loud ring toneUse phone app or ask Google or Alexa to find your keys! (Or phone - see below)The phone I have the tile app installed on can also be found by double pressing a button on the tile. My phone will ring even on silent. Same, can ask Google or Alexa to find my phone. Even if the phone is on silent, it still rings.Bluetooth does need to be on, on your phone for the tile to connect with the phone but dies not need to be on, on the phone for Google or alexa to communicate with the tile.If using the phone app to find the tile, the app indicates the signal strength visually,so you can see if you are getting closer or further away.I use it a number if times a day. I have a few if these for various important things.Definitely worth having!

Ok so I have had a couple of these for a while and TBH only ever used to find my keys or wallet in the house. That is until last week, I have a set of keys I use once every couple of weeks and have got in to a habit of leaving them in the door pocket of my car. Alas I needed them and they had gone, tried Tile on my phone but not in the car ..... aggg rubbish. Marked them as lost in the app, got the spares and carried on. Two days later I get an email they have been located and a map showing me the car park of the local tesco so off i go..... I wonder round for 20 mins and get a slight signal brilliant not far away. Ten mins later I find them deep in a bush, they must have been thrown there.Keys back and a lesson, not going to leave them in the car anymore ..... and make sure I lock the car :-)
