I just tried these out at home and they are pretty functional. They come in a little carry case and essentially are two straps sewn together. One strap goes around each pad. There's two sets of these contraptions in the package. I tried and rolled back and forth to see if I could open up a 'void' between the two pads, but it held strong. Also, these are very similar sleep pads; but I also couldn't tell any difference of the gap at all. I tightened the straps a little tighter than I thought was needed. I actually think this helped out to keep the pads so close together. Overall a great purchase.

I haven't used them overnight yet but my boyfriend and I tested these out on our camping pads. They did the trick for us! They securely kept our sleeping pads in a snuggle-able configuration. We followed the included directions and put them near the shoulders and near the feet. We didnt feel them when we laid down on them. They are a "universal" set, so we were able to make them work for our non-thermarest brand sleeping pads.

So the common complaint is how poorly buckles hold. This can be corrected by backing off the webbing like you would a climbing buckle. Take the free end and thread it back over the buckle and threw the slot.[...]I also like the suggestion in another review that 3 be used per mattress pair, rather than 2.

We were having trouble with out sleeping mats drifting apart and creating an uncomfortable gap. These straps minimize sleeping mat movement and make for a much better sleeping experience for you and a camping partner. They're kind of a pain to setup in a small tent, but worth the effort.

This was definitely worth the price. I was skeptical that it would work. I was able to sleep much better. Before using this product my sleeping pad would slip, and I ended up on the side of the tent. This helps anchor my sleeping pad with my husbands. Work great!

Does what they're supposed to and keeps our pads together for the entire night. No instructions but easy to figure out. We use sleepingo pads and not thermarest, these straps will work with any sleeping pad.

Works well for other brands too. We bought something similar to the biggest thermarest and used these and they work great! Just put them at knee and shoulder levels.

Easy enough to hook up. Ours stayed put no problem and we went two whole weeks without developing an uncomfortable gap between our mattresses. Success!

Worked much better than I expected. Great. I'd thought about trying to make something like it myself with some straps or elastic and glad I didn't.

These straps do the job. We've used them 3X now and I have not one complaint. I highly recommend these if your mats tend to slide apart.

Does its intended job. Keeps my husband and my sleeping pads connected well then we put one at the head and one around torso height.

These do the job. Used them for a week of camping, and they solved the issue of mats sliding all over the place and creating a gap.

I camp all summer and use a roof rack it makes it just a little harder while I'm in town to get supplies to keep the theifs away!

Basic but works as intended. Don't think they are super durable so some care needs to be taken into mind when using these.

I bought two Therm-a-Rest Luxury Map mattresses. These worked great at holding the two mattresses together.
