Bizarre thing with this expansion is your toddlers and children can pick up music skills, but they can't use instruments until teenage without using mods that stretches their bodies to look like skinny aliens. The ability to carry around portable instruments to play wherever you want whenever you want is pretty cool, and with high enough skill you can turn playing an instrument into a job just by playing in the park or in a subway. You can even make it into a profession by teaming up with other musicians as a gig to tour around at given locations, although I haven't seen this feature work yet.I love the bars in this as you can learn many various cocktails that can give boons, although learning new recipes for cocktails takes a long time and can get tedious over time. You can then choose to work at bars and earn some reasonable cash. Sometimes bars won't have anyone at them which is a known bug, you fix this by replacing the bar.Elevators, oh my gosh! Although some places in town may have glitches elevators requiring you to rebuild them. But the fact you can have these are awesome as you can now build condominiums and hotels that don't require space for long stairs that would take hours to climb.Celebrities introduces 2 of the most annoying aspects in this game - paparazzi and newspaper slander. Unless your home is enclosed behind a wall with the exclusive locked gates expect paparazzi to be snooping around on your property and ringing your doorbell at unsavory hours, and if you don't find a way to befriend them when they're not running around snapping photos or you do something that could shock the public then expect to lose friends the next day when slanderous news gets printed in the local papers! Finally we have the one other awesome feature with this expansion - vampires! OK I know you also get them in Supernatural, but you don't get a nightclub in it where Dracula and his entire family can go out and drink plasma juice. The odd thing about vampires though is you can survive off plasma juice or by drinking blood from people you are friends with. Yes you heard me, you can't stalk someone in the night and drain them dry, in fact you can't even kill someone by drinking their blood! And if you want to make other people vampire or have them make you vampire again you need to be friends. You do however still havea weakness to sunlight, it won't kill you right away but it will weaken you for days resulting in moods dropping faster than normal, and if you don't meet them fast enough or stay out in the sun during this time then you will KO. So what is really good about being a vampire you may ask? You get to live forever, providing you don't get yourself killed, you don't need cooking skill unless you work as a chef and like making plasma fruit pancakes for breakfast, and you will learn skills at a faster rate at nightime. Vampire children also get the benefits of learning at an accelerated rate stuff like logic and painting, and they also complete homework faster too!So yeah, there's much to talk about this expansion and if you choose to be a celebrity or a vampire things get more interesting and tricky.

Late Night is a very fun expansion pack, it adds a lot of new features to the game that'll keep you entertained for quite a while. The new world Bridgeport is awesome, the Sims 3 was in need of a large city world. The night clubs and dance clubs make the nightlife very exciting, I like how Sims often go there on their own, so you never know who you'll run into in them. It bugs me that there's certain hotspots every night though, so if you go to the wrong club you'll find nobody there at all. You can find out where the hotspots are by reading a newspaper, but it's probably not worth it, because you'd have to read the newspaper every day, and you don't always have time for that. Also,if you like creating big houses with huge gardens and tons of bedrooms, Bridgeport isn't the place for you. It's not a family friendly place, there's barely room for anything other than high-rise apartments, which are difficult to fit more than three people into. There's a section of the city across from the bridge which is more residential, but it's very mountainous and it's hard to fit any empty lots there. I personally prefer the apartments to houses, however, seeing as I rarely create gardens or huge houses, so I don't have a problem with this.I like that vampires were re-introduced in this expansion pack, they're a bit different to the Sims 2 vampires though. They can't die from being in the sun anymore, but they do get a negative moodlet from being in the sun for too long, which causes their needs to decay really quickly. I had one vampire Sim die when he had his moodlet, he went to sleep and then died of starvation in his sleep - the hunger bar (or thirst, as it's called for vampires) decayed too fast for him to sleep long enough without dying. But seeing as Bridgeport is very much a nightlife place, you won't have too much of a problem keeping them out of the sun. They get a lot of benefits at night, like being able to read minds and increased skill gain. I was able to make my vampire Sim master the guitar skill in a matter of minutes, by making her drink a skill drink (drinks are another new feature) and then getting her to play the guitar at night. There's also a new skill called Mixology, it's a good skill to have to earn some money by moonlighting at a bar. Eventually you'll be able to mix really cool drinks, I found one that changes a Sim's traits momentarily, and it made them go crazy at a party. All in all it's a great expansion pack, it has a few annoying flaws, but you'll enjoy it more depending on how you prefer to play. If you like playing mainly with adults and don't build large family homes, you'll really enjoy it, otherwise you're better off with an expansion pack like Generations.

I have only The Sims 3, The Sims 3 Design and High-Tech stuff, and all the Sims 2 things. I was excited about getting my first Sims 3 expansion pack, and I was right to be excited! I'll list all the features I can think of.* There is a new town/city, which is about the same size as the first one, but has skyscrapers which are cheap and easy(:* There are a fantastic new range of clothes, especially for women! Lots of glitzy things, which is great.* New hairstyles, which I love, although not that many.* Lots of new stylish furniture.* Elevators and musical instruments* You can self-employ as a band! If you have a music skill, be it piano, drums, bass or guitar, you can ask another sim to form a band, name it, practise, perform at gigs and earn money! This can be your job career if you go to City Hall and register your band.* Your sim can become a celebrity! You become a celebrity by socialising with other celebrities. Some celebs are bigger than others - it works on a five-star rating - and your sim can slowly climb the road to fame to become an A-list celeb! You need to visit hotspots by reading your newspaper to find out where they are and then visiting them at night. Some areas are for celebs only, but its super easy to sneak past the bouncer and get in, and if you get caught later, nothing happens. Simple.* Vampires. These are absolutely brilliant. I turned my sim into a vampire by going out with one and asking him to turn me. You can just be friends with one for them to bite you, but I like having them leave the mark on your neck (if they love you they bite your neck; if not, they bite your arm.) My sim then spent her nights going out and having people fall in love with her, before drinking and turning them. Soon I had a town full of vampires, all in love with me. Weird, but fun. The new aspiration points reward of Master Romancer means no-one ever turns down you romantic advances, even if they hate you. Makes it easy as pie.* Mixology is a new skill, where you learn to mix drinks. I like having lots of skills, but this one seemed pointless. I never got orders, even after mastering the skill, and when I did it was lousy pay. I gave up.* Skinny Dipping! So funny :DCan't be bothered writing any more, but hope this gave you some more info on the game(: Oh, and I haven't had any slight problem with the game working, after owning it for nearly a month.

Well I have to say I am impressed. After 3 years after I installed the base game, I was able to get the latest patch and get this expansion. At least I can save properly and don't have to keep to the starting game.I love Sims 2 Nightlife, so for me this pack was a natural choice. I was so glad when I read they were going to do this. Evenings have been a struggle to fill for my poor Sims. The celebrity lifestyle is fantastic. The bars, club and putting a band together. I really love it. The vampires are good but some are very grumpy. One of my Sims went to the art gallery and a vampire was there. She just rejected any conversation and then just walked off!The new careers are good and offer more choice from the original jobs. The career buildings are mixed up a bit with the business centre having the bistro too. City Hall has 3 tracks police, military and politics. The new skyscrapers are a great touch and I love the lighting at night. The bridge is simply beautiful.I only have a few gripes, one is most of the lots are big. 64x64 lots and I had three parks, plus the graveyard and most of the houses with this size as standard. (64x64 is the biggest lot size). I've had to remove the parks and move my Sims to smaller houses as my computer struggled. I put in a smaller gym as well. Although my computer meets the minimum requirements the detail in some of these 'Goliath sized' lots is immense. I will have to make another graveyard to replace the big one. It took over 40 minutes to load and for my Sim to begin moving round then it crashed. Grrrr!!!The 1 and 2 bedroom apartments ran okay but I think I'll take out the 3 bedroom ones just in case.Editing the town caused some crashes. Like trying to put in a smaller park. Also when I tried to evict the 'Littler' family it crashed. There is a lot of choice now what a community lot can be - even a laundromat! I really liked that plus you can have big parks or small parks etc.I love most of the new Sims in Bridgeport and there's 2 vampires living in apartments already that I've seen. They are highlighted by a red border in the relationship panel which I like. All in all well worth the hassle and glitches. I loved very minute and look forward to more playing and see what happens next!

Finally, an extension pack has come out for The Sims 3 franchise that is top notch. The pack combines ideas from four previous Sims EPs, which are University, Superstar, Apartment Life and Nightlife. It throws in plenty of new features and angles too.The first addition is that of celebrities, where you can live the charmed life and all of its perks. The next is vampires, just like in The Sims 2 Nightlife. The difference this time is they don't die so quickly whilst in the sunlight, which makes them more playable. The next is more musical instruments such as the piano and keyboards, allowing your Sims to form bands. There are plenty of nightclubs to visit, and some new skills to learn such as mixology. The most striking thing is that there is the addition of lots of new items in buy mode. In fact, I am surprised by just how much there is. World Adventures and Ambitions lacked such items, and for me, that weakened them. There are lots of new additions to build mode too, with some new tools such as rounded pools, fountains, half walls and elevators. The only annoying thing is that of the nightclubs which close in the mid morning. So you send your sim to the club, and by the time they get up in the elevators and get admitted the time has ticked away so much they're getting booted out at closing time. In the Sims 2 Nightlife, downtown locations pretty much stayed open 24/7. I am sure a mod will be available to fix this, and I will be checking Mod the Sims in the near future to see if there is one.The game is very stable. This makes a change for Sims games which are notorious for bugs and crashes. Finally, The Sims 3 is starting to feel like a real Sims game. If you have the base game and are looking for just one EP, this is definitely the one I would recommend. Well done EA, this time you really have cracked it!

This game is a good addition to the Sims 3 franchise. There is a whole new town, with high rise buildings. I love the apartments - it is a huge step forward, particularly when creating new Sims. It allows for much more financial freedom with new characters, and feels more realistic. I've also enjoyed the new "celebrity" aspect, which is quite fun - particularly when your sim has been publicly disgraced with false accusations, so you can trot down to the journalists building to deflect the scandal onto someone else. Achieve the wealthy status, and you can hire a butler to look after your house.Another great addition is the bars and clubs. These are particularly useful for those in the music business,as you can go and play, or join a band, raising your skill and your charisma at the same time (and having fun). Of course, you do have to be aware that some of the clientele in the bar could be vampires... For those who embrace the nightwalker lifestyle, it becomes easier to improve skills during the hours of darkness.I have found some drawbacks. It takes far longer for a Sim to get to work from an apartment. I've had problems with the babysitter too. The babysitter arrives, and if you are really lucky, they will even enter the room where the baby or toddler is. But they never seem to actually feed the baby or change the nappy, so your sim can come home from work having had the baby screaming for almost the entire time they are away.I would recommend this - it is a fun addition, and adds a significant amount to the game play. Now all we need is the ability for a Sim to move house from one neighbourhood, to another!

i got this game soon after it's release and really liked it. however some of the features which were made a big deal about were not as i'd hoped them to be. For example, in the trailer it is made to look as though clubs and bars are always packed with other sims but they never are. if you go to some random place there will be about two people there max so you think, "fair enough i'll go to one of the so called 'hotspots' and it'll be packed there"...will it? Honestly you can try any place you want there will never be more than 4 or 5 people unless you throw a party there in which case you can have about 12. But it still never looks like it does in the adverts. And also you are made to think that if you make your sim famous, the paps will follow you everywhere and photograph you loads but they dont. Even if you're a 5 star celeb, the most you get is one pap occasionally photographing your sim and only once in a blue moon does someone come up to you and ask for an autograph. Despite these let downs, when someone does approach you or you do get papped, it'd really fun and you can buy a mansion in a special VIP area and the house has a operated front gate and everything. Also there are loads more careers to have, and loads of new NICE clothes and hairstyles. And as per usual once you get this game you cannot come off it. All in all it is a very fun game and worth buying but i'm not sure it was worth every penny.

Hi All,I absolutely love this game but there are one or two bugs with the home help (butlers and maids.)My butler just keeps going up to the nearby beauty spot and just sits there and reads a book. What is most annoying is that I still get charged $1200 a week for his services which is a pain. The maid service is also flawed as sometimes I cannot see them on my screen but their car is outside. Nothing seems to get done in the house but again I still get charged for their services! So as a result I get my Sims to do all the housework and leave out the bugged hired help! There is one point I have to make. One reviewer stated that vampires are not affected by the sun! Well I can assure you that they are. After prolonged sun exposure the vampire starts to burn. You can see smoke coming from them! I was busy doing something else in another part of town and one of my Sim vampires was spending too long in the hot tub which was outside the house. Later that night the grim reaper showed up and that vampire died. It would appear that it was from too much sun exposure, so all beware!Apart from one of two bugs the game is fascinating. Hopefully these problems will be addressed when new patches come out.

I was surpirsed at how good the expansion pack was when it arrived!.Theres a selection of new hairstyles, clothes, furnishings, venues such as dance clubs, bars and lounges. The added element of being able to have vampires sims was one of the best parts of the game, meaning you could create large families of vampires.Another great part of the game is that You could have your sims mingle with celebrities and maybe even become one themselves! You also have the option of moving your sims into appartments, which also makes the game a little more interesting. The game is highly entertaining overall as i found out after the hours of playing it. However there are a few minor problems.. one being its a new town altogether, and another being you cannot make your own appartments for your sims to live in.However if you download the sims create a world tool you can easily have all the nightlife stuff in the one town along with stuff from other expansion packs, aslwell as your sims but its very time consuming as i am currently finding out!.But overall the sims 3 Late Night is one of the best expansion packs avalible! :)

It was great when my mom got it for me at Christmas I screamed because I've heard and seen a lot of things about it is really good!!There is a new town - Bridgeport, its a really nice town and great new community lots where you can go to clubs and bars. The new outfits and objects - As soon as I went onto the game after I installed it I clicked straight to Create A Sim and all the clothes were very inspired and most of the clothes really go with the theme. I absolutely love building houses and the objects are really decorative and give your sims house a new refurbishment and make it look really modern.Speaking of houses you can now build Penthouses and Apartments! They are fantastic and your sims can live in a celebrity (which you know can have your sims be) lifestyle.Celebrities - In Late Night your sims can b celebs!! You can make them do bad things in front of the paparazzi and they can climb higher in the celebrity world!New Careers - You can now become an actress or a actor which is really interesting.Overall I think the game is really good and it definitely changes your sims life style.

I am a huge fan of the Sims since the Sims 2. I am thoroughly in love with this new EP for the game, I am also quite disappointed on a few things. The picture on the cover with the 'celebrity' getting their photo taken by many paparazzi, differs in the game when you only get one person that follows you around and takes your photo instead of a group of them. What also is quite disappointing is how easy it is to become a celebrity as it makes your goal of being the number 1 celeb is easy instead of them trying for weeks to get at least 1 star on their celebrity chart.I really like the vampires and how you get to see how the sims react to the different time periods from when they are bitten to when they are fully vampire. But there is a bug when the time for the sim to change makes them uncontrollable for about 2-3 minutes when they are physically vampire. I do hate that you have to ask to feed off a human sim as it takes the fun away from stealing their blood like how a vicious vampire would. But overall i would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes vampires and night clubs.

I have always loved playing sims from the very beginning, and I think this expansion really adds to the game. There is so much more you can do and places to visit with your sims when you buy this game. It gives your sims the chance to visit nightclubs and bars, and you can meet loads of celebrities with various amounts of fame (or, if you prefer, your own sim can become a celebrity!).As well as this, vampires have been introduced to the game, which means you can turn your sim into a vampire. Another exciting addition to the game is the introduction of apartments and flats. It is really interesting how you can have the choice of buying a flat for your sim,and you can then interact with sims living in the same block as you.Overall, probably the best expansion for sims because it really changes the way you play the game (it is not a one-off thing as it is with world adventures!). You will not regret buying this expansion pack! I would recommend this to anyone who already enjoys sims 3. An amazing game, highly recommended!

Late Night brings a new dimension to The Sims 3. Bridgetown is the new neighbourhood installed and contains a fully operative town. There are many new features such as the ability t olive in appartment blocks (although this has the limitation of only one househole per biulding); there is the long awauted return of the hot tub. Sims can learn new skills such as the drum, piano, bass and the mixology skill as well as become celebrities (and be incorrectly shamed for wrong doings); they can also become vampires. The major downfall of Bridgetown is the lack of space in which to add lots. I like to build large mansions but there are no 60x60 or 64x64 lots to utilise. So if you continue playing in Sunset Valley for instance, you have to build all of the clubbing lots yourself as the ones from Bridgetown have odd dimensions. This expansion pack has taken a slightly more sexual theme as well; although there is no nudity, sims can now woohoo in public lifts and hot tubs. Overall, it is an expansion pack worthy of buying.

I love the Sims 3. I bought the fist expansion pack for the Sims 3 when it came out, but wasn't particularly enthralled by it. When this came out, one of my friends bought it immediately. She raved about it... and when I bought it, I immediately saw why!The added town (although on the slightly large size) is really coll, and I liked the idea of being able to live in apartments. You can also have: butlers, jacuzzi's (they are back), new skills, new instruments and loads more furniture. The clothes and hairstyles are really nice too! Up until now, the expansion packs haven't really had new clothes and hairstyles which are imrovements on the base game..but Late Night certainly does. This game is brilliant for any avid Sims player (like me) who want new clothes, hair and many other items too! My next investment will definately be Generations, and I can't wait for Pets to come out too (the addition will bring the game to life!!!)You SHOULD BUY THIS GAME NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have the base game and ambitions and generations and we were looking for another expansion pack. All these expansions packs can make the game run slowly but I turned most of the graphics down which helped and didn't make the sims look like blobs. There are lots of new clothes, objects, instruments and some new hair. The celebrity status adds another thing to achieve in the game. The bars are great for sims who are up late and are open from 4 in the afternoon, you can also learn to be a mixologist and work in a bar. The lifts do take a long time, but you can just cheat and move your sim downstairs. One complaint is that when you form a band, you have to register at the town hall and can't be employed anywhere else. The band only gets about one gig a week, which isn't really enough.I would definitely recommend this for sims fans, especially as the price has now gone down to £15 which is less than I payed.
