This stuff pack adds plenty of new festive themed items to your game plus new features, and an additional 20 items if you already own the Christmas Party Pack. For those that don't know I believe this stuff pack is worth more than some reviewers are making out. Not only do you have lots of festive new décor for your house but there are new party features open with this pack. The new décor is plenty of walls with xmas banners on them, doors with wreaths and plenty of actual items to boost the environment mood of your sims. There are a lot of items and you can spend ages placing them but sometimes I don't bother putting so many down as I can't face deleting them all when xmas is over. The reindeer to place outside you house can be lit up with a chance of being electrocuted if touched. There are plenty of Christmas trees to place in or outside but be careful about leaving the lights on at night, I left them on for the night and my sims had a house fire! The Christmas trees are important in bringing santa to the house. He will turn up whether your sims are awake or not and for me usually left a toy race car or a chess table as a gift. Your sims can also interact and talk with santa, and therefore earn a 'met santa' memory. There is another feature that some reviewers haven't mentioned and that is the New Year's party. Sims can now hold new year's parties. It's arranged just like a normal party on the phone but the guests will only arrive around 6pm and various guests will then randomly bang spoons onto saucpans to create some noise. This party can really be fun especially the hour before midnight where Father Time appears. This old man stands around for the hour and the sims at the party all gather around him and wait for him to change at midnight. Of course the danger or such a late party is that the police have often shut it down early which feels like a flaw the makers could have fixed. This expansion has one more secret which took me absolutely ages to work out. There is a new food item, the Holiday Roast. This is a group meal which can only be made by a sim of about 6 or 7 cooking skill and can ONLY be accessed if you have a cornucopia somewhere on the lot...So I keep one in most of my sim houses all year round. If you don't have this cornucopia every time the sim tries to make this dish it will be told there's no food in the fridge...I though I had a bug in my game until just recently so enjoy this added feature. This expansion pack installed very well on my vista machine but be warned to install packs in order or you could run into some issues.I'd recommend this stuff pack to anyone who wants to bring some festivities to their sims. It is mainly items (including a few Halloween statues) but there are other features too, and I really enjoyed dressing up a family of sims in santa and Mrs Claus outfits (and kids have new elf hats too!)

The sims 2: festive holiday stuff is possibly the most unpopular of all the add ons of sims 2, but still good.It is available to buy on its own or in sims 2 festive edition which I got it, this is the base game and festive holiday stuffIt is a stuff pack which means you only get items, no new features. It's theme is christmas and it gives your sims all new 20 items to do with the festive season, which, if you have seasons, you could put up at winter time, but with me the fiddly to place light and candles tend to stay up all year round. It does also offer some halloween and new year items, too and some general party stuff, likeparty poppers, sparklers, noisemakers, stars, mistletoe, stockings, wreaths, statues and pictures. The object I liked the most was the Berge the Proliferating reindeer, as sometimes, if you choose to pet it, your sim gets electrecuted!Festive holiday stuff also offers 3 christmas trees of different sizes, unfortunately, nothing can be done with them.Your sims also get a whole bunch of new clothing from all around the world and santa dress up suits. If that were not enough, the sims 2 festive holiday stuff gives new walls, doors, windows and floors for real festive fun!Overall, I would say that the attention to detail is great but you can't do a great deal with the new items and it dosen't come with that many, but if you are an avid sims collecter and player, you really need to get this stuff pack

I bought this because I am a mega Sims 2 fan and really wanted some yuletide stuff for my sims. Because I already had Seasons it worked well when the snow came and certain stuff were really enjoyable (eg. Santa coming to visit). There is, however, a few stuff I didn't like. First is the decorations, not all of them I use, in fact quite a lot of them seem pretty useless or are very limited. Second is, it's just like real life, as soon as you put it up you have to take it all down again pretty quickly. There could've been so much more that they could've added to make it better. Overall it's pretty good but buy this stuff pack last because it's not all that.

Many people can be confused when installing this as it's not the same as the other Stuff Packs. Rather than installing 'Festive Holiday Stuff' it's just adding additional files to the original game. The additions to the game are great, such as Santa visits when you decorate the house on the lot, adding a Christmas tree and baking some Santa cookies! Santa comes and gives gifts! It comes with loads of items to make a holiday spirit in any Sim's home.

I bought this expansion pack only because I wanted to say I had all the games. But it really took me by surprise! I already own Seasons so a perfect christmas is brilliant with the snow outside and everyone in their warm winter outfits! The decorations are really uplifting and I'm always sad to remove them after the season changes. I strongly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a care-free absoultely brill stuff pack!

I bought this because it was really cheap and I am a Sims fan.Unfortunately I found no use for the items in this game because I am so lazy to change things up and give my Sims festive hilidays so I guess this product is lost on me!If you like varying your Sims lives by giving them different holidays then this might be useful for you.Happy Simming!

This is great for someone who plays all the time and would appreciate the new objects, outfits etc.Like all "stuff packs" though, there isn't a huge amount of new things - & someone who wasn't really used to the game probably wouldn't even realise what was extra.I like the new products, but wouldn't pay more than £4 or £5 for a "stuff pack".

Even though it's only a add on, you get some pretty cool stuff, I especially like the clothes for the women, mainly the chinese ones that looks great and some of the decorations are pretty cool. It's lots of fun to use especially if you have Sthe sims 2 Seasons

Bought for my brother this Xmas, however I seem to be more addicted then him. Loads of stuff on this disc!! I was worried that I was paying money for just half a dozen items but the amount you get is endless! Love it!

It's brill, now my sims can have Xmas all year round, but not forgeting to turn off the xmas lights before you go to bed otherwise there's a fire hazard just as in the real world.

Bought this for my teenage daughter as she prefers the early series of games to the newer Sims 3,no complaints and it arrived in plenty of time for Christmas.
