This is a really good golf game which will have you coming back time and time again for more, despite the frustrations. I find the playability on some PS4 sports games a little disappointing sometimes but this game is really good and so much better than the Tiger Woods variations of yesteryear. There are a host of courses for the player to get to grips with on once the basics have been 'mastered'. Swing, chipping and putting techniques can be honed on the practice ground before the real thing beings. There's also the opportunity to join the PGA Tour via Q-School/ Tour qualifying. A course designer as well if you fancy re-creating some classic courses that don't feature. There are frustrations, which some reviews have attempted to touch upon but, that for me only adds to the realism. Essentially, you are required to use the analog stick to swing the club by pulling back and forward in a straight line. Sounds straightforward but just like the real game of golf, timing and the ability to do the same thing correctly, time and time again are what it is all about. And it is the ability to do that, that is the challenge. Just like the real game, silly, unnecessary habits will creep in and ensure that no one round is like the last. Putting is all about touch and feel on the greens and when it all comes together, it's a great feeling! If you are looking for a golf game with realism, I wouldn't look any further. It'll frustrate at times but provide great satisfaction when it all comes together.

I got this as a download from the PlayStation Store, not from Amazon. I've played a number of golf games and never found them difficult or realistic enough. This is so much better. The graphics are very good and the PGA Tour mode works well - to begin with. I love that putting is based on reading the line and judging length of swing. It's hard, but works well when you get used to it. Chipping is also difficult to get right - just like the real thing. I started on the PGA Tour just playing the final rounds and soon found myself winning tournaments regularly, so I set the difficulty to Hard and started playing all four rounds of an event. Now it's nearly impossible to win, I'd say.Winning scores for the last two tournaments I've played have been -42 and -39 under par. Over 72 holes. That's not realistic. On that last event I was -15 after 72 holes and didn't make the top 20. Having said all this, I'm still playing a round every day I can fit one in, as the challenge is good and I'm measuring myself by what I think is a good score, given the conditions and the course. If you like golf on console, I would definitely recommend The Golf Club 2019. It's the closest to real gold (including the frustrations) that I've ever found.

I didn’t have a current generation Golf game and bought this one because of general good reviews and a great price point. So far it certainly scratches my fairway itch and I’m very pleased with it. I much prefer the club swing tied to a controller thumb stick, rather than the press the button against a moving swing meter reaction test you so often see. It’s no walk in the park and my atrocious round scores so far, leave me in no doubt that I have a long road ahead before I can even match the ai, let alone pit my clubs against real people via the games extensive multi player features. But I’m having a lot of fun so far and am looking forward to that challenge, rather than being daunted by it.All in all, having played many golf games over the years, I feel I can recommend this one. But perhaps only to a more discerning player, who is purely interested in Golf and not looking for power ups and socks that improve your drive. Because you won’t find those here. Well... not that I’ve seen so far anyway. :)

Absolutely amazing golf game. Since it launched a while ago, I was hesitant about trying this as in images I saw it never looked quite as pretty as Rory McIlroy's game. I was definitely wrong, graphics are fantastic, gameplay is much less 'arcade-y' than McIlroy's Pga Tour and the 'story' is very good. You start off as a rookie and go through the entire season all the way up to the Fed Ex Cup. Commentator isn't top notch but he's a good lad so it's not a problem. I do wish there was a classic progression for your golfer like in the old pga titles, whereby the more you play and win the more distance you can hit your balls etc., but that to me is the only flaw.Multiplayer is fast for 1v1s and alternate shot games with 4 players are amazingly fun. Definitely recommend to all golfers :)

As a fan of the Tiger Woods golf and then going to Rory Mclroy golf. This golf game is taking some time getting use to swing speed and putting speed. It’s much more difficult getting the shot distance and shot accuracy and putting distance right.Graphics are excellent.A lot more golf courses to choose from.Commentry could have been better.I’m glad I waited for it to come out on disc format and to pay £25.This game can be a real pleasure to play when you get your swing speed and accuracy and putting right.-14 par on the scotsdale course. On the other hand be so frustrating when it all goes wrong leaving you a bit baffled.I think this golf game is more down to feel and sensing the shot.

This game is fantastic and if your a golf fan which what it sounds like from the reviews on here most ant, it takes a lot to get used to and it is a very hard game but that’s golf for ya and all these idiots saying it’s crap is because they only like games where they win all the time, trust me it will take a while to master this game but when you do it’s great, I agree with some people the graphics could be better but that’s only on the crowd but everything else is spot on, don’t go crying to your mommy or throwing the pad at the tv because you can’t play it, figure the game out and you’ll get better!!

The Golf Club games are the best golf games out today, for those interested in a proper simulation. A lot of fun, especially when 3-4 players are playing it together in the same room. With the course editor it means that a near infinite amount of courses are available to play online. With a bit more investment I'd like to see a bigger leap in graphics and perhaps a more comprehensive career mode. I wouldn't expect extensive licencing of players and courses etc, but it's nice to be able to edit player names and likenesses so that you could recreate the real PGA and LPGA rankings.

I really enjoyed it but, you must invest time into it.If you are someone who is put off by something being playable but tough at times, you may not enjoy it. I played it on easy and EVENTUALLY I managed to win PGA tour but I do still struggle in a high wind. It may be me but on my XBox One X, it does not seem to understand what a low wind is, to me a low wind is NOT 7 miles an hour.NB, even with no wind, the wind STILL affects the direction of the ball and when drawing back to swing, make sure you go very straight or you will not do a straight shot even with no wind.

This game is just brilliant. After Rory this is a different level altogether. Large selection of courses with brilliant graphics and not always easy to master. My only criticism would be that in some instances the lighting could be better, but perhaps that could be to do with my 84 year old eyes and not the game itself. Thoroughly recommend this but patience is required!

Loved previous versions of this product and the latest iteration doesn't disappoint. Doesn't have the flashy features of the EA Sports Golf franchise but this is a solid, challenging golf game. PGA Tour Career Mode has added a further level of depth to the gameplay, can't wait to see what features they add for the next version!

Great game. Much harder than the original tiger woods games with less help like boost, tiger vision on the putts etc. Putting is just like real life, reading the falls on the green and judging the power to put into the shot. Difficult at first but much more realistic and rewarding in the end. Brilliant golf game

Great golf game by 2K, build your own golfer, venture onto the PGA tour and the online gaming is really good fun!Design your own course is a great feature tooOnly disappointing aspect is no real touring pro's to play against - Looking forward to the next instalment where this is an option, out in August 2020

21.11.2018

It's great - I'm not even a big golf fan! It's challenging, like I like sports games to be, you have to really learn how to get better (especially putting). The golf course designer is brilliant fun! Great to play together in a room too. Yes, graphically a bit below par but... That's about the only fault.

27.8.2019

This game takes a bit of getting used to as you have to use the analog stick to swing club unlike tiger woods franchise which had the 3 click swingHaving said that once you get to grips with that this is a good gameGreat graphics commentary can be a bit repetitiveA good game for the price

23.1.2020

good value but putting is a little silly misses hole from 1 foot 2 foot sometimes overtop of the hole, more realistic than rory mclroy and tiger woods pga tour, driver is very accurate irons go longer on smaller sweeter swings and shorter on long swings chipping is dissapointing
