Really good arch support and fit in general. It would get five stars if you could adjust the heel with a separate strap to the one that goes over the top of the ankle. To get a secure fit that means the shoe lifts with the foot at the heel at exactly the same time I have to have the strap tighter and this does make it less comfortable. The ability to tighten the straps over the toes is limited too if you have narrower feet, but there was no pinching once I had adjusted it as much as I could. I have worn them for several hours so far and no blisters or rubbing beyond that expected for normal shoes, even despite the lack of extra strap on the heel. However,it does feel that it would rub more if I was walking on rougher terrain or for longer and more intense periods of time, which I will be doing on a walking holiday soon. Once worn in and my feet are used to them I imagine they will be very comfortable long-term. I am a normal size 4 and these do fit my foot perfectly with no toes encroaching over the front. A few extra millimetres in length would have been preferable. I paid an excellent price for these considering they are the leather option. The colour goes with anything (as expected). No email to say they had been dispatched, which would have been nice.

I do a lot of walking but I have quite temperamental feet that need good support from shoes. So finding sandals that don’t look like they belong to an 8 year old boy has always been problematic. I’d heard a lot about how comfortable Tevas were and they weren’t too uneasy on the eye so I gave them a shot. Firstly they’re leather which I love because it’s nice a durable. It also gives them a nice neutral feel so they go with almost anything. Secondly they’re very comfy, good support in the arch so no aching feet and the straps are easily adjustable. A few days into them though after a 5 mile walk they started to dig in a bit on my right foot but this is probably because I haven’t worn sandals for about a year.Other than that they are very good walking sandals. I haven’t stopped wearing them since I got them. I will definitely be getting some more shoes from Teva in future.

Teva - listen to reviews! These sandals aren't cheap even though I bought them on a big discount from £70 to £42. As most of the reviews say, they do come up small/short in the foot which should perhaps be advised. I have wide feet so went up at size from 5 to 6 UK. There is also definitely an issue with the ankle strap too which is in an odd position on the foot and again, as many reviewers stated the securing strap is too short- on mine the right one was also shorter than the left, ie not symmetrical. If you have to loosen it it does leave a lot of velcro exposed. Having said all that I have decided to keep them and am optimistic that they will eventually be very comfortable for a big trip I am doing next January so have plenty of time to wear them in.Teva have a great reputation but they perhaps do need to address many similar complaints...

I hope the Teva Tirra will be around for as long as I am, as they are the best shoe I have ever had!! I love the comfort, the style and the toughness, and they can take a pounding. I wear them all the time as well as the nylon ones. The leather and nylon are both excellent for walking, but I prefer the nylon if I know my feet are going to get wet, as they dry faster and are made for it. The leather looks and feels more stylish. I tend to choose the leather for big walks. I am on to my second pair of leather ones now. I have taken my sandals to Indonesia a few times. Singapore &Thailand and they're about to embark on a 5 week trip through India. I would never travel without them.Tip - I buy 8.5 in nylon and 9 in leather as the leather is thicker all round but will mould to your feet.

The sandals are comfortable. The soles are reliable and you can walk in them for long stretches without your feet feeling fatigued. They look a little bit bulky but the quality of the materiales makes up for it, the leather straps are nice and elegant overall. It's nice to be able to adjust all three straps so you can really get them set for your feet, and the grip is good for urban exploring with some rain (haven't tried them on a trail yet, but they seem sturdy enough). They are just a hint too short, so sometimes my toes would slip over the front edge, which makes them feel a little awkward. Also, the ankle strap is too short,so when you put them on there's velcro showing and sometimes grass or other detritus gets stuck on it.Overall pleased with them.

I actually bought these at least three years go, and never got around to reviewing them. I can now do so from a distance, and can say that they're brilliant sandals and entirely worth the money. I bought them for work. I'm a tour guide in a Scottish castle and must walk several miles every day - up and down stairs, along passageways, over gravel, carpet and flagstones - and at the end of a long working (and walking) day they're still comfortable. I have 'difficult' feet, and they don't pitch or rub anywhere. And several years down the road, they still look good, too - with almost no signs of wear. I just sponge them down occasionally to keep them respectable. I blanched a bit at the price, but it turned out to be one of my best-ever footwear buys.

I used to wear Tevas and they were surprisingly comfortable and gave support I never expected - especially for my high arches. Since then, I've had stress fractures in both feet and have to be very careful with the type of shoes I wear. I was wearing nothing but Danskos for the few years it took to heal. Now the fractures have healed and I can wear a wider variety of shoes, but still with caution. I'm going to Ghana for a month (it's nearly on the equator) so it's going to be really hot and I need a sandal I can wear most of the day without hurting my feet. I've been wearing these around the house and on errands, to make sure they are properly broken in before I leave. So far - they seem to be a great shoe for my upcoming trip!

So sadly I needed a pair of walking sandals but due to our current health situation Covid I had to look online, these arrived next day, so I did read the reviews and was a little concerned as I am size 8 so as shoes only go to an 8 I couldn't get larger and a lot of reviews stated on the small size but I took a gamble as I don't like garish colours, tried on and yes 8.5 would have made these perfect. My first dog walk of about 2 miles not one blister but definitely need that extra half a size. I am making do because they are nice looking, and I am a wide fit and they are great. If made a little longer would be perfect, did line up against my normal shoes and flip flops definitely half a size out.

I have worn Teva sandals for many years. Wanted some that were a bit less athletic looking, and tried these. The front straps are both adjustable for a custom fit, and they have good support. They only knock I have is the ankle strap is difficult to get adjusted so it doesn't irritate my ankle. Not sure what the problem is, maybe it sits higher than I'm used to, but after making numerous adjustments, I finally found the right spot and tightness to make it less bothersome.Other than that ankle strap, they are really comfortable under foot, just wish the ankle strap was more to my liking. I will keep these, but recommend with reservations.

Last minute purchase for a city break weekend ..Sorted my clothes realised Lisbon was going to be very hot and trainers were going to be too hotRummaged in the cupboard to get the trusty old Tevas out and forgot the dog had chewed the strapsOrdered these came the next day perfect fit. I have a slight bunion and getting sandals with adjustable straps is difficultI walked loads and they were so comfortableFriends commented on them .. said they weren't as geeky as they thought they would be... ok not the most stylish but a city with 7 hills awaited so there was a lot of walking and I was blister free and no aching feet unlike my friend!

Beautifully made, light and extremely comfortable. My only criticism is that the velcro on the ankle strap is far too long - you'd need to have ankles like a flamingo to need the strap that tight! (I solved this by getting a local shoe repair shop to remove the unattractive excess velcro and re-stitching - that's the only reason I didn't give these sandals 5 stars). If they last as long as my previous Teva's - over ten years of constant summer use, walking and cycling miles - I will be delighted. I like the fact that the toe straps are adjustable as well. Also, should you drop one in the sea, they float nicely!

If you have foot issues these are the perfect sandal. I have to wear orthotics in regular shoes and thought my days of wearing sandals was over. This style of Teva has terrific arch support, and the straps provide plenty of adjustable support for stability. I had to retire my vintage leather Teva's because they had no arch support at all. I can't say enough good things about these shoes. They are so comfortable and needed no breaking in period.I had my feet measured at an SAS store and went a half size smaller in the Teva. I double checked by trying on my old Teva's first.Highly recommend.

I have been desperate for shoes that would alleviate some of the heel pain in my left foot, and I also needed something for warmer weather and for when I needed to wear something a little dressy. These sandals are helpful; they are adjustable if you need to loosen or tighten them, they fit well, and they provide decent arch support. Suggestion - This probably isn't possible, but I would still like to have more 'cushy' feeling under my heel (I've bought a slip-on gel cushion that helps). Anyway, I feel a little less depressed about this situation now, thanks to the sandals.

The foot bed of these sandals is very comfortable and provides good support. And the water proofing works-after getting wet they dry quickly and look good. I have a 10 year old pair of Chaco's that replaced an old pair of Teva's that had started giving me blisters. The Chaco's will probably never wear out but are finally showing their age and use. I'm glad I tried Teva's again. These are a big improvement in design and comfort over the pair I replaced 10 years ago. My husband has a similar pair of Teva's and also loves them. That's what convinced me to give these a try.

We bought a size up on these, and they fit well. They are strong and practical sandals. They are sturdy on the sole and are therefore good for a variety of terrains. They are adjustable both around the ankle area and on the front / top. They look nice.I would warn against wearing them for long distances until you have worn them in properly. My wife did this and ended up with a really sore foot which felt bruised. She was limping as a result for several days. However, they are comfy now and she is able to use them for everyday wear as well as long hikes.
