This is the second Tetra 600 filter I've bought. The first one is over two years old and still working fine. Had to get another one to cope with my ridiculously filthy Blackmoors. Not a situation I had intended on but having invested in a large tank and external filter I found out that half my goldfish are male and the others female. They decided to start laying eggs . Not ok. Now running two tanks. My temporary solution of adding a second filter to my smaller tank is working well.Great as this filter is, don't rely on the inbuilt aeration alone. As soon as the sponges get slightly clogged it barely blows bubbles. It's also much quieter fully submerged.

My existing filter has a gentle effect on the aquarium surface this add on Tetra IN300 delivers a perfect stream of aerated water onto the surface of the aquarium. The output nozzle can be set well above or below water level to increase the oxygen exchange effect. The nozzle rotates through 180 degrees and can be set towards the tank walls to change its impact on water currents. My IN300 supplements a filter in a 110 litre black water tank and brings my water cycles up to 8 times an hour. This little guy is so small it is easily hidden in my tank. This is a very good filter and it does its job well, just not perfect which is why I've given it 4 stars.Firstly, it's not as quiet as you might expect. Yes, it's a powerful filter but my huge JBL canister filter is quieter. It's not too intrusive though, but don't expect to struggle to hear it.The filter media is also very limited. You have a choice of bio sponges or carbon sponges... That's it. Many competitors already make filters with different layers/compartments for whatever media you want.Ultimately, it's a good powerful filter. I use it more for flow at the far end of my tank, with the majority of the actual filtration being carried out by a JBL e1501 canister.

Love this filter, i havè a 60 litre biorb life (oblong not round) with amongst other fish i have a male half moon betta, filter in biorb is ok but i felt it needed a little help as its undergravel and the biorb is very tall so i searched for months for little one that wouldn't take up much room, most were too strong for my betta who likes calm waters.This one is perfect, its only for upto 40 litre but its in addition to biorb filter so perfect, very tiny and adjustable water flow which can also be turned different directions, i have it in back of tank at the side and the waterflow pointing 90° onto the side wall so water is still calm and does not affect my betta at all, tank is always crystal clear now.

The reason I have given this a 4 star rating is purely because once the sponges get to a certain stage of dirtiness the air flow virtually ceases and you really have to clean them immediately. You cannot wait for a convenient moment, or leave it until the weekend, the filter goes from having a good airflow, to none at all in just a couple of hours. That being said, the filter sponges are really quite easy to clean so i would still recommend this filter, but perhaps more suited for the smaller less well stocked set ups

Purchased this because my old filter broke without me realizing. This meant the water went stagnant. I did a partial change and put this in and within an hour the water was completely cleared. The oxygenation part is also very handy as my large fantails like to sit on the bottom of the tank. Best filter I've bought, will be buying another for my other aquarium.

Very compact and very powerful,have lost a couple smaller Tetra fish till correct flow rate found by trial n error,but easy to clean and maintain,its in a smaller 30ltr tank and works perfectly well in this size tank. Water always crystal,and easy to remove filter compartment while under water to clean filters. Would buy a 2nd for next tank without hesitation!

Just arrived today and installed in the tank, bought a larger size than needed, quiet running and also aerates the water, great that it can easily be adjusted for water flow so I have set it at the lowest setting. It is tall so need to have a depth as 35 cm approx as the air intake is at the top I had to raise my tank cover to allow extra space for this.

Easy to set-up. Very powerful, does exactly what it says it does and works wonders. Keeps the water very clean for at least a week (I've got a 105 Litre tank with two coldwater goldfish) and i do two small feedings per day. Clean my tank once every 7-8 days (30-60% water changes).

Works well, is quiet. Finally I have a quiet filter and it is bliss. Of course I am writing this only about 6 weeks after I put it in so I hope I haven't been too hasty, the proof will be in the time factor.STOPPED WORKING AFTER A FRACTION OVER 2 YRS :-(

Originally bought a much cheaper and non-branded filter but as it didn't do the job properly, some of my fish died. I quickly changed back to a branded one. This one is brilliant. Works really well and my water is now clean.

I have had a couple of these filters in different sizes (to go in different sized tanks) and have been thoroughly impressed with them. No complaints about noise as mentioned by others and very easy to clean and maintain.

I would have considered giving a five star rating, except for the filter housing feeling a bit loose when attached to the head/pump unit. Overall, I would recommend it for someone with a 130 - 180lt aquarium

excellent, efficient, easy cleaning of filter(s) easy flow and venturi adjustment, very quiet operation definitely recommended for those using internal filters.

This Filter is great. It is really powerful and I was surprised at how good it is. Its Really easy to remove cover to wash the filter if needed
