My husband likes to do the ironing, usually on a Sunday while I prepare lunch. I use an iron for dressmaking and fabric crafts so our iron is used a lot. After using an assortment of steam irons of various makes, we were both fed up with brown drips, calcium deposits and leaks. Frequently, clean items were returned to the laundry basket as a result of the ironing, not through wear. A cousin, who runs her own B&B in North Yorkshire recently recommended her Tefal steam generating iron and as a result I now own a brand new GV9071. I am very pleased with it. As I like to use the whole length of the ironing board, I use a small sturdy cupboard next to the end of the ironing board to stand the steam generator on.

I purchased this a week ago to replace a Bosch steam generator iron.It was a little more expensive but I find you get what you pay for nowadays and this is well worth the money. I am really impressed with the performance of it and I have noticed that I can get through the ironing even quicker than I did before and find I only need to iron one side of most things and still get a good result. The steam output is great and gets rid of crease in one pass, the heat dial is on the base so no more moving the dial by accident and fear of burning items, The CALC COLLECTOR is a real bonus and will help to give the iron a longer life, but I have started to use filtered or boiled water in the iron as I live in a very hard water area.

the steam on this product is not consistent which is the only thing i can fault this product for, but this said, there is plenty of steam which helps to power through your ironing pile. the quality of this product is great and it does make ironing a lot easier and the finish of my efforts are greatly improved compared to that of my expensive ordinary steam iron; there this a marked difference which is very pleasing to see! i like that the cord retracts and this is great feature. bought this product on sale and find it very good value for the money paid and i would buy again.

Really impressed with this product. I have put it through the mill since I purchased this, Ironing everything in sight. My ironing speed increased so much and I go through so much more ironing. the results are amazing. Once I got started I was so impressed with the ease and the accuracy of the iron. No effort is needed to use the iron it glides and smooths without very little extra steam being necessary. I have never had one of these irons before but would recommend this specific one. Its features are easy to follow ... .. everything about this is fantastic. Thanks, Tefal

I have had a Tefal steam generstor before. It lasted for years. I was so impressed with the quality and performance, I purchased the same brand. This is a little expensive , but with the 25% discount for BNPL I have saved £87.50. This generstor surpases the previous model I had. It's ligbt, a dream to use. The results are impressive. You get through the ironing sooo much faster. I just love it. Ironing is no longer a chore. I would highly recommend this steam generator. Thank you Tefal and Littlewoods for you excellent promotins. I'm a happy lady. :)

Bought this to replace previous model. How long this will last? Says 10 year guarantee but after year dont think they honour. This is good iron so far, but does reset itself when switched off to synthetic cycle, stains clothes as too low. I found middle setting (wool) can iron everything without changing settings. this is only downside for me but also the water tank since its a darker colour hard to see water level. At the moment working fine. Dont think they are meant to last despite price.

Brought this iron as I needed to replace my old tefal iron and I was not disappointed. The functions on it are incredibly easy to use, in fact I’d say it’s fool proof based on the fact my husband has even been able to use it independently. As busy working parent this iron cuts my ironing time down to a minimum. I like that the leads all have their place and are not dangling everywhere when it’s not in use. The only negative I would say is that the plug cord is a little short for my liking.

Never had one of these before, but I am very impressed. It has adjustable temperature control. Easy to fill tank, so just remove and fill and pop it back on. When you have finished ironing you can lock the iron in place to transport it. Press a button on the side and the plug winds in. There is also a place to store the lead from the iron. Finally there is a scale collector build in. Only used this twice but really impressed, steam increases when to change to different fabrics..

I used successfully my previous Tefal pro express iron for the last 13 years, so now I chose the same brand. This looks sleeker, it is less noisy, not as heavy and it glides like a dream. I passed the iron only once on each garment as the high pressure used, penetrates the fabric better than other irons. I spent significantly less time ironing and I was surprised to see myself looking for other things to iron as I hate ironing in general. All in all, a superb buy at a great price!

This iron was more expensive than my previous iron but it performs so much better. The steam is powerful and i dont need to have the temperature on high like i did with my previous iron. It is a brilliant iron that makes light work of the ironing. My only 3 negatives would be to mention the power cord length is not very long and the button to increase or decrease the temperature is quite stiff and the power plug is so flat i have trouble gripping it to unplug it.

Having had a number of steam generators over the years, this is the best model in terms of ease of use in ironing (especially on clothing covered in creases), the steam power deliveted and the very large water tank. I wasn't sure spending the extra money would be worth it but I wpuld definitely recommend making the extra investment for the performance delivered. The only question is how it deals with hardness in the water, so time will tell.

This iron gets nice and hot (unlike the previous ‘intelligent’ one that only ever got luke warm and had to be returned) and works well especially if ironing shirts and sheets etc. It has 5 settings and so far has been great to use. It takes longer than my previous generator to heat up but as it works so well I done mind. It is expensive at full price so look out for discounts. I do a lot of ironing and am pleased with this iron

I purchased this for the love of my life,who states the following...Although the iron feels heavy on the stand it glides effortlessly while in use.Plenty of steam to remove accidental creases.A plus point is that water and scale can be emptied from the boiler.A downside is, that in the description it states that this model has a water spray function, which it does not,but this does not detract from its performance.

Having had my previous generator iron for over ten years also a Tefal it eventually give up to all the use. It was excellent so I decided to purchase the same make. My new Tefal iron is first class and I especially like the anti calc feature brilliant. It make the burden of ironing so much easier and although they are not cheap I would never consider buying anything else. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

This iron makes a dull job enjoyable. Heats up quickly. No calcium deposits. Lightweight Easy to use, the pointed tip gives great results with fiddly hard to iron item. The base sits nicely on the floor, it is heavy but has a safety clip to hold the iron whilst transporting it. The iron glides well and the steam lasts a long time before refilling is needed. Easy to use. Brilliant. Love this product!
