I picked up this game with my new DS along with lost magic. I played lost magic first and was very unimpressed. When i decided to give this a bash i intially thought the game was virtually the same and let out a groan of fustration. On further playing i had a nice surprise, although similar Tao's adventure seems to have taken the bits of lost magic i didn't enjoy and improve them.Basic storyline is Tao (you) is a Bente child on mission to save his loved ones by climbing a tower full of monsters. Unfortunately this tower is in the middle of a city where everybody hates your race (to the point of leaving the room when you walk in). You must climb the tower killing random monsters and collecting goodies as you go.I have enjoyed the game very much but it still has some bad points.Good pointsInteresting story if limited locations (there are only 3)easy to use fighting system (turn based, unlike lost magic)ability to cast a few spells before MP runs out.Ability to teleport to different floors once they have been cleared.Bad points.Between some levels eg level 3 and 4 there is a huge difference in difficulty on floor three the monsters will do about 15pts damage and on floor four they do 35!The floors are big and quite often i have almost cleared the floor only to be killed by the last monster meaning i have to do the entire thing again (this made me snap a stylus in fustration!)there is only one place you can save which means at the end of every floor you have to teleport out go and save come all the way back and teleport back in, it's just that i play mine on the move a lot and it makes it difficult to do this as once you teleport off a floor all the beasties come back.I don't want to be too negative ab out this game as i am really enjoying it but i felt the gameplay was too flawed to give a five and it did detract from the fun slightly (it made me bite my DS in fustration a few times!)
