Tamiya Tiger ausf E. This kit was a little challenging but very rewarding. I’ve built Tamiya models before & always found them to practically build themselves, usually I zimmeritt everything I can & then assemble. This I had to build much of it first, I’m not complaining I like a challenge. Typical Tamiya, well detailed 3 decal options & camo patterns, all in all a very good kit. Completed with aber gun barrel, zimmeritt Edouard Photo Etch detail set & Master Club metal tracks (which are difficult to assemble to say the least). This is the tank that Allied & Soviet soldiers feared & respected the most & caused a phenomenon known as “Tiger Phobia” in which all German tanks were referred to as Tigers & I can see why.

Great kit. The only caveat being the tracks. Now these come in individual pieces that have to be glued together, then placed onto the wheels before the glue sets. This operation takes about an hour and of course the glue onto each track has had different times to set, meaning that the most recent ones are liable to part company. An additional drawback is that the tracks are black plastic and need to be painted to look like rusty steel. I have seen this kit finished with unpainted black tracks when the model maker has wimped out at the challenge. So be prepared!

Amazing, this tank in not as small as you might think and it is very fun to make. For a good model maker it will take about 4-5 hours however the tracks have to be made peace by peace and it can take up to most of an hour.This is a great tank and the finish is great too. this is a must buy.

Amazing kit of the tiger don't let the age of this kit put you off. Its completely flash free detail is sublime. What is expected from tamiya and it comes with separate link tracks get the zimmerit sheet as it saves the hassle of using putty and done properly looks the part. Must buy .....

Purchased for my 12 year old son - he loves it and set to straight away. His first "proper" model.

This kit is from 1989 but still awesome. Will look amazing when built. Recommended.
