I have not purchased this particular kit yet ( I normally work to A £20 budget ) I do have 2 Tamiya 48scale Spitfires that are just brilliant in every way . The engineering and moulding is superb . No filler needed and great results obtained with fairly basic tools . I have read many articles in magazines and experienced modellers on You Tube . Praising this kits . Some modellers don't like it because it's so good , it doesn't require the extra skill to get very good to perfect completion . see comments below on 3 star review . At this price I am sorely tempted to buy one this minute . £100 lowest price I have ever seen frankly it's worth it costs that much fot the Airfix 24 scale Typhoon .

This is an excellent model which can be built straight out of the box. Usual Tamiya excellence. Iam no rivet counter so cannot/will not add any thing about what may or may not be missing. There are some good projects/books on the build to befound for those who want to go that bit further.

5 days to arrive from Tokyo. Absolutely amazing and very well packaged was very surprised at the speed of delivery can't wait to build this highly detailed model. Need to purchase a pilot sitting in deck chair waiting for a scramble to go with it Any ideas !!" Chocks away "

Superb kit. Beware the amounts of paints for it you have to buy also. However,if like me you intend on building more British war planes of this scale,you’ve got every colour. Mouldings beautiful and ist class Decal and photo etched parts. Worth the money. Al.

Exquisite fit and finish, even on the traditionally difficult wing root. The model looks like the real thing built out of box, although theres plenty of aftermarket items available if you really want to go nuts.

The parcel arrived safe and well in good time. It was a present to myself after 50 years away from the hobby. I have not started it yet but the quality of the supplied parts appears excellent.

Excellent model. Worth every penny, it took a while to arrive from Japan but when it did it was in tip top condition.Couldn't be happier.
