It looks like a makeup kit for a model, and that's pretty much what it is.To give your model that little extra touch of dirt or grime, these sets are my go-to tools.I tend to use my own brushes to apply then rather than the applicators provided and they give a fantastic finished effect.Because you're effectively dry brushing the pigments into place, you're not actually using that much and the sets last for ages.Used in combination with the other sets I've completed and weathered several large models and there's still way more than half the stuff left.These are a must if you want to give your model a weathered finish.

Nicely packaged, with useful instructions.It has made 'weathering' more accessible for me and has taken the realism of my modelling to the next level. I'm no expert, but you cannot go too far wrong with the handy applicator and the Brush.Really easy to apply and easy to clean off if you make a mess of it.I would highly recommend you give it a go. Easy, fun and rewarding for the intermediate and advanced level of modeller.

I now have all four afv weathering sets (A,B,C,D). I definitely reccomend these sets for anyone wanting to make their finished model look realistically weathered. These sets are very user-friendly and with a little practice you can achieve the result you're looking for and produce award-winning show pieces. Tamiya also makes weathering sets for figures and boats, aircraft and gundam.

I bought this set to increase the realism of certain parts of my models, heat effected exhausts can increase the effect, so thought I would give it a try.Very effective! I have been impressed with my first efforts, and can say that, for me, this is the way forward. Great results and with more practice I’m sure that I will be able to achieve the results I’m seeking.

On a 1/16th model it does not last long - buy 2 if you are modelling at this scaleGood product though4 stars for the amount you get for your moneyI am going to make my own in future from chalk pastels/pva and water

Great bit of kit this is I never new they existed till lately.I wondered how they weathered the models now I know.Cant rate these kits enough simple to use and leave great results.Pritty fast delivery also

have looked for somthing like this fof a long time ,will be just the thing for my hobby ,on time does what it said on the tin .well pakeaged ,arived on time ,unusual for our post .will be buying again .

Tamiya's weathering master sets work really well, but is a lot darker than the Tamiya photos show, Best to see if there are untouched photos on the net of the products for a better colour comparison.

Works very well to create the heat stained look desired. Will rub off easily though and covering with clear coat will reduce how the effect looks.

What a great product this is for weathering your tanks or railway projects.It took a little while to arrive but the cost makes it worth it

I like these kits for weathering effects on military models. They're easy to use, there's no mess, and they do a decent job.

Looks like it should be for make-up. but is used for.weathering purposes in model making. Good product that is easy to use.

I cannot comment on the quality of the paints, as I bought them as a Christmas present.

Have yet to use it, should be good as it comes from a good kit maker.
