I must admit it, I am geek when it comes to it gadget and I am always looking for things to improve heating controls. Initialy I bought the thermostat and the extension together from eBay but while installing I made a fatal mistake and I blew the extension! My own fault anyway. So I had to buy a second one from Amazon. It arrived very fast and this second time I was able to fit it in literally 30 secs, as I already knew what I was doing. Thermostat and extension connected within seconds to the bridge and heating was up and running in no time. The use experience has been excellent so far. I haven't had any connection drops so far, a month. The conform levels in my house have improved dramatically as I only had a timmer programmer,

We switched over from a Nest 2nd Generation Thermostat to Tado to allow for zoning in up to 10 zones. The install took a very long time and numerous calls to Tado compared to Nest which was plug and play. The issue wasn't wiring the extension kit, but rather to get the Thermostat to function with the extension kit. The technical support team were very helpful in the matter and it turned out the issue was as simple as outdated firmware on both devices, made worse by the fact that the thermostat was on such an old firmware that it could not talk to the extension. The reason this wasn't an issue with the Nest is because the thermostat and Heat Link come as a bundle instead of separate.

I already had a tado thermostat from my previous house, however I needed to be able to remotely control the hot water program too, due to the setup in my new home.The extension kit allows for this function. Although I would say this is easy to install, I had some problems as the wiring from the house's initial build was not standard. I had to contact tado technical support, which is only available via email and they are pretty slow to respond. However, they are very helpful when I did get a response.Definitely buy the tado products from Amazon as they are considerably cheaper than buying direct from tado.The tado setup is really good, the only smart thermostat which has active geofencing,

I bought the rad valves first of all. Brilliant!Now bought this (extension kit) and the wireless thermostat.TADO support is outstanding.They give each customer a unique, installation plan/instructions, if you want to install it yourself.Very easy to install for my setup.No rewiring needed. This extension kit was used to replace the existing kit.TADO experts on hand to chat or speak to.I now have a ful TADO system.I can control hot water and Central heating.I can control the individual temperature in every room.So, if it is chilly sitting in the lounge, for instance, I can turn the heating up in that room, nowhere else, if that's what I want to do.My gas consumption is already lower this year,

I had a conventional wired thermostat very close to the boiler and was very unhappy about where it was placed and the lack of accuracy in setting the house temperature. After a quick review of available products, and a very careful examination of the wiring of the existing timer for the boiler and pump, I purchased and installed the smart thermostat and extension kit with the help of the Tado instructions on the web.These products work really well. I have now located the thermostat where I want it, and can accurately control the temperature in my house. I have reduced the desired temperature, the house heating is much more comfortable, and my gas consumption has reduced significantly.

Bought this as an add on to the Tado thermostat (it wasnt clear that this was also needed to control hot water at the time of making the thermostat purchase, so affected the budget for the upgrade). Now, having setup the thermostat already (which was a total breeze with the online guide!) there was no easy or intuitive way online or otherwise to do the install without calling the Tado support team during office hours. They then reset the online install, which is a bit of a hack really!, and I had to go through the install steps for the whole system including thermostat again - no big deal, an extra 10 minutes of time in reality.

I got this because of the ability to control my heating from my phone and the geofencing feature. It was very reasonably priced too, and seemed to have a simple set up. The smart thermostat worked first time and was very easy to install. I had a little bit of messing around to get the extension going and get the hot water under control too but it was not hard to install and it is now all working well. I like it, the upgrade to the house systems is excellent. So far it is great, just what i needed. The geofencing works well and detects my position using my phone, and i like this feature because it does not require me to be paying attention all the time!

Bought to add control of hot water to an existing tado installation. From just the use of the standard tado kit, my gas bill had dropped by £20per month, so thought I'd give this a go as well. Easy to install using the online guide, which tailors itself to you existing setup. Was done in 10 minutes. Even reuses my previous programmers backplate, and no wiring to be done, didn't even have to tighten a terminal up. Great piece of kit, with lots of thought going into making installation easy.Only reason that I haven't given 5 stars is that the android app doesn't allow you to control the water schedule , you have to visit the Web page.

I have a full, whole home Tado setup with the thermostat and radiator thermostats. I bought this to control my hot water.It works and it works well. I'm most impressed with the signal range. Mine is in a boiler cupboard in my utility room. Not close to the Tado bridge and surrounded by concrete - but it still manages to connect! That was my main requirement.I'm disappointed that the Extension it isn't exposed to Apple Homekit. Whilst I can control my heating through homekit, I'm not able to control my hot water. I suppose the need isn't as great, but it would have been a nice feature and made the system feel complete.

I installed this myself after replacing an older wireless thermostat. I initially was slightly apprehensive as I'm not overly experienced in electrical works or boiler in's and out's but decided to give it a go.I was sent instructions and a step by step guide via email for my specific boiler. I did have some questions and phoned up but the helpline were fantastic. I sent them photos and straight away they were directing me in what to do over the phone. First class service and even for a relative novice to install it works great. I spent a morning installing it and pleased I did it myself in the end.Marc

Very good product and easy installation. Just follow the instructions and you should be able to do it in 5 mins yourself.The only trouble I had was when trying to replace this with a new equipment the serial number update feature isn’t available in the app and hence had to resort to using chat based support. Unfortunately, being a weekend, there was no support available and then I had to leave voicemail on urgent helpline number. After 2-3 voicemail attempts and waiting for few hours the issue was resolved. It would have been great if this simple feature is available in the app itself.

I have to say it was easy to set up straight away. What I did do was to buy the extension kit to make the wired TADO thermostat wireless. This is when I found out that you do need TADO tech as they change the device remotely as to how it acts. You contact them by email, but they do respond but may ask a lot of questions but they will get you there. Love the Geofencing. Heating temp drops when it doesn't detect anyone in the house and comes back on before you return. The distance can be set by you.

I purchased this kit to add to my existing Tado thermostat and radiator valves and it completes the solution. I can now control all aspects of my heating and hot water from my phone and know that I'm not wasting money heating the house or water when I'm not at home.Installation was a breeze with any questions I had being answered very quickly by Tado support.This setup makes old style central heating timers look ancient!

I have self installed and owned Tado before. It was my first choice after reviewing all the competition and I am delighted having moved home to have Tado back in my life. A true fit and forget product. The online installation instructions were a breeze and have improved hugely from my original Tado installed under 2 years ago in my previous home. Elegant and unobtrusive in place. Chuffed!

Got this in the prime deals and it was super easy to fit. The instructions provided are excellent and super simple to follow for a self install.The support is great too, contacted them with a few questions about the install and they were able to answer all of my questions. This has been able to connect to the internet bridge easily too and has never failed to keep us warm.
