This was good for the job I was doing, although there is a more expensive model which also handles cable staples, and I can see a use for those. I might have been able to do the job just with the staples included with the gun, but while I have seen a couple of different guns in local shops, I haven't seen packs of staples. So consider taking advantage of the Prime and add-on options. I am not sure if I shall have a use for the nail/brad option, the 15mm limit seems a little short, but I suppose it's equivalent to what I know as "panel pins". With the stop to set the distance from an edge, I'd expect this to do a tidy job, with less trouble than a hammer.I am a bit old-fashioned, and tools such as this, and modern glues, made a huge difference to what I was doing. Though the coffee table I made at school, with proper joints and everything. is still rock solid. The right tools for the job have changed. Apart from the slight regret at not getting the more expensive model that can also handle cable staples, this feels like the best balance between cost and durability.

It works well, plenty of power. Only time will tell how hardwearing it will be, but I see no cause for concern so far.Things I like: the price, the little window that allows you to see the last half inch or so of the magazine, the colour - initially I wasn't keen at all, but it grows on you! and easy to load.Things I don't like: The belt hook - no use to me, having to discharge a staple in order to fold down the operating lever - my previous stapler allowed me to disengage the lever for stowing. These are features rather than faults. Overall, after a brief period of use, I'm regarding it as a good buy.One more thing. It feels quite bulky in the hand compared to its predecessor. This may be an advantage for heavy use as you do have to squeeze quite hard - that power has to come from somewhere!

An excellent tool and an ideal addition to any home toolkit. The amount of small jobs that can be tackled with this robust, well made tool are limitless. The price is OK and the fact that it can fire staples, nails and tacks makes it even better. Did I say I love it?

Seems like a well built product. Comes with just a few staples so I hope replacements will be easy to find, and most importantly, inexpensive
