Arrived today (2020/03/11)Bought for use in my Numatic Henry vacuum cleaner. The box graphics are pleasing to look at and the box is fairly informative (except for two matters which I address below). There is no excessive packaging. These bags are significantly smaller than the original Hepa-Flo bags for this vacuum cleaner; they’re about two-thirds of the size. From a Henry customer point of view this is not good, but for the manufacturer the size makes sense because the size means the bags are compatible with a huge number of vacuum cleaners from a great many manufacturers (and a rather long list of compatible vacuum cleaners is provided on the box). However, for Henry users these bags are comparatively eye wateringly expensive; not only are the bags much smaller, you get only four in a box whereas you get (and for around the same cost per box) TEN of the original Hepa-Flo bags per box. To justify such a hugely higher cost these bags MUST be SIGNIFICANTLY better (not just a little better) and I have yet to see any evidence to suggest that they are SIGNIFICANTLY better than the original bags. The packaging makes a number of claims about the quality, features and performance of the vacuum cleaner bags and mentions certification from an independent testing organisation but unfortunately doesn’t provide a weblink to the test data (so that we can learn what was tested, to what benchmarks and how well this product compared to that benchmark). If all the claims made for this bag are true then this seems like a marvellous vacuum cleaner bag and PERHAPS worth the EXTREMELY high price compared to the original bag.One thing I am VERY curious to know though is why, if these bags are so good, is there a need for an air filter (the bags are supplied with an air filter)?Speaking of the air filter, there is ZERO information about it. What is it filtering? What is the smallest particle size that it can filter? Where on the vacuum cleaner is it supposed to be attached? Why is it even needed? For the reasons outlined above I can give only three stars in my review.UPDATE (2020/03/12):After writing my original review above I went in search of information about the additional air filter that is supplied; I came across a YouTube mini review which unfortunately for me, as I don’t speak the language, was in German. I watched the video to pick up what info I could and learned that some small cylinder type vacuums like the Miele C2/C3 series have a cassette/holder just in front of the motor into which a filter fabric is put in order to protect the motor from debris. So it is for this purpose that Swirl provides an Air Filter; you remove the existing one and dispose of it, then cut the Swirl supplied Air Filter to the appropriate size and slot into the cassette, and you do this each time you get a new packet of Swirl vacuum cleaner bags thus ensuring you always have a clean (and therefore more effective) filter protecting the vacuum cleaner motor. This is a nice touch, very thoughtful of the manufacturer. It’s just a real shame that this information isn’t provided on the packaging or the filter itself (you are told on the packaging to change the Air Filter each time you buy a new box of vacuum bags but aren’t told what the Air Filter is for).In any event, for those people who own a Numatic Henry vacuum cleaner and its variants, the Swirl Air Filter is not needed (as there is already a filter between the vacuum bag and motor).UPDATE II (2020.03.15)Found information pointing to a large test of numerous vacuum bags carried out by a respected German consumer goods testing organisation. Three similar bags to this one by this company, also using MicroPor technology, were tested and were found to be as good as, and in some cases better than, the original equipment bags supplied with leading brand name vacuum cleaners. The blurb on the Swirl bags in question posted over at Amazon.com has this to say: "Good quality does not always have to be expensive. The vacuum cleaner bags from Swirl scored the best in the Stiftung Warentest test - the German consumer organization who put 22 branded vacuum cleaner bags to the test and evaluated their performance. Third-party bags are in most cases just as powerful as the originals but sometimes cost only about half. Thirty-three bags from third-party suppliers, such as Swirl, were compared with three original bags in terms of handling, dust absorption, and retention, as well as fit and durability. The Swirl vacuum cleaner bags' results were particularly convincing. More specifically, the tests showed that the vacuum cleaners using Swirl bags performed even better when filtering the dust than the original bags. "So on the one hand it’s reassuring that these vacuum bags aren’t rubbish but on the other hand given that they are quite expensive it’s not reassuring that they may be only as good as the original Henry Hepa-Flo bags rather than significantly better.I haven’t yet been able to access the test data (which was from June 2017) to ascertain which brand’s bags were tested and which ones were exceeded and the criteria and scores achieved. So we can be reassured that, at the very least, the bags are doing all of the things that the packaging says they can do.It would just be better to know whether or not, for the extremely high price, they are doing better than the original Hepa-Flo bags.Interestingly, as far as Numatic Hepa-Flo bags are concerned I have been able to find exactly ZERO independent tests that support the manufacturer’s claims of good performance. So in that regard these Swirl bags are better than the original Hepa-Flo bags because there’s at least SOME info about the Swirl bags.I am tempted to increase my review score from three to three-and-a-half stars but the system doesn’t allow us to award half marks. I would award a full five stars if these bags were proven to outperform the original bags (I actually suspect they do, and for the purpose I want them (to protect my son who has diagnosed allergies) I feel a little more comfortable using these bags for now given that they makeSPECIFIC claims and it appears those claims are true)

Smaller bag than the originalOver pricedInstructions in every language EXCEPT English- although they managed to put their Amazon ad in English! - Says something about customer careThe "Antibacterial filter" is a 6 inch square piece of fabric, which doesn't fit anywhere on the Henry.ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE IN PERFORMANCE FOR TWICE THE PRICE!Also does nothing for the credibility of Amazon reviews
