Bought 2 x 750ml bottles, 1 blue for cold drinks + 1 yellow for hot. Some weight to them when full but in no way too heavy for carrying around. Quality and value so far is excellent. Only used for cold drinks up to this point, but used every day and night since purchased and kept drinks nice and cold for many hours, even when out in 30 degrees blazing sun. Filled with water from the fridge but no ice and still very cold down to the last drop 15 hrs later.For bicycle drinks bottle carriers you'll most likely need the next size down, unless your carrier has maybe 8 inches of clearance or more for inserting/removing this 750ml size as they're certainly narrow enough to fit into carriers which flex to accept different diameter bottles,tried & tested.This size won't fit into my Citroen C4 cupholders in the centre console (no sleeve, just the bottle), but it's no problem as the console has a sliding top opening with room to safely stand the bottle whilst still in it's sleeve, along with all the other bits and pieces I keep in there, also it will fit the door pocket drinks holders.Can't see any breakage problems due to the construction, the paint is a powder finish and did scratch and mark slightly when trying it in the cycle drinks carrier, despite not being able to feel any real rough points just one very slightly raised plastic edge inside the carrier, but this size isn't sold for such a purpose, and a few marks won't affect functionality, also as it'll be in it's neoprene sleeve for most of it's life a few blemishes are no problem. The paint finish is a little bit on the slippery side though when out of it's sleeve and it would've been good to have a rubberised coating.Having the 2 lids is brilliant. The drinking spout lid is designed for cold drinks only, so a little common sense is all that's needed on that front (never use a pop up straw lid with hot liquids due to possibility of pressure causing liquid to spurt out if/when the drinking spout is opened).The additional 2 plastic straws are really not needed, but the cleaning brush, carabiner clip, and neoprene cover with shoulder strap are all great extras.Despite only having these for a short while I can't see any problems arising, the lids have simple silicone O-ring seals that slip on and off not only for better cleaning, but will be a doddle to replace should this ever be required. Given the cold performance I firmly believe they will easily stand up to the hot liquid time claims, going to test tonight so will change this review to reflect my findings as soon as I have the time.

If you, like many people, do any form of exercise you'll understand the need for constant hydration and, subsequently, the need for a decent receptacle for keeping your liquid refreshment in.I looked at a few bottles but settled on this one in the end; it was the double-wall insulation and use of BPA-free materials that won me over in the end - this thing can be used to keep cold stuff cold and, handily, can also be used to keep hot stuff hot. In the end, I took the plunge and bought one in black.When it arrived and I removed the bottle from the box, I couldn't help but be impressed with the quality of it. In addition to the bottle itself, you get two tops; a flat-topped metal one and a plastic sports-capped one,and two straws which can be used with the sports cap.The bottle itself feels very nice in the hand - it's got a lovely powder-coated paint job on it, which makes it slightly rough and tactile and should also make it easier to grip than smooth-sided bottles. It's pretty lightweight too and feels really robust - very impressive. Less importantly (depending on how you look at it), it also looks very stylish.Both of the caps are also very nicely made, with special mention going to the flat wooden-topped cap which is, quite frankly gorgeous. The sheer quality of it is incredible, and it's got a really nice handle/hook on it which can be folded down over the edge of the lip. I've had a quick play with it by putting some boiling water in the bottle and screwing this cap on, and was pleased that the sides of the bottle stayed cool and that there were absolutely no signs of any water escaping. Let's not forget that this top isn't solely for liquids - you could put thicker things like smoothies or soups in it, as the bottle's wide opening would allow them to be poured in and out of it.The plastic sports cap is really cool too; it screws smoothly onto the bottle and has got a really nice mechanism at the top of it with a fold out straw that, when pushed flat against the top, seals it off so no liquid can escape. Drinking from it using the straw bit is also really nice; you don't have to suck too hard to get the liquid out of it and can actually just hold the bottle upside down to pour it into your mouth.All in all, I'm seriously impressed with this bottle - it's smart looking, versatile and built to last and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it if you're looking for a sports bottle, a flask to keep your coffee in or even something to take your lunch in to work. I bought this for my husband to use to drink water at work to replace a thermos. Cup he had had for a while but had begun to leek around the seal beetween the cup & lid. He opted for an bottle type with a built in straw to be used with cold drinks so he did not have to keep taking off the lid everytime he wanted a drink. He works in a hot environment so needs to replenish fluids alot however he will only drink boiling hot of extremely cold drinks which is a pain to find something that keeps water very cold for a good few hours is an absolute must. Which we have done with the super sparrow water bottle 1l.The large 1 litre capacity if this bottle means that my husband doesnt have to refill the bottle more than once whilst he is at work the bottle keeps the water cold for hours even on a hot summer day inside a hot warehouse he fills it at 4am with cold water & adds 1 ice cube it is still very cold when he goes for his lunch 6hrs later the longest he has left it from fillling & it has still been cold enough for him to drink out of us around 14hours which in my opinion is amazing. I would advise that your rin your cold tap for a couple of minutes with the water running into the bottle constantly for this time this is so you prime the inside of the insulated container to be very cold meaning therenis much less of a temperature difference between the bottle & the liquid added ensuring that the drink stays colder for longer. I would also do the samenwith hot water if you are going to use it for hot drinks but remember you can not use the sports cap with the build in flip straw for hot drinks always use the other top with the wooden exterior. Its great that you get 2 internal straws to use with the sports cap with the flip straw built into it so when you need to clean 1 you have another one to use straight away. The cleaning kit that comes with this item is great for cleaning the sports cap & straw attachments with hot soapy water make sure you rinse well though the only thing i will say with the bottle shape ckeaning it is tough thereare some other bottles that are supplied with an instrument to clean the bottle it looks like a sponge wrapped around a metal stick a simple solution to the problem that would help your customers it would be amazing fornyou to include something like this in your cleaning kit in the future. I've been using these everyday for 5 months now. I bought them to replace 6x500ml plastic water bottles I was constantly refilling. I bought one of each to test them out, thinking I would eventually need to buy 6 & wanted to make sure I was investing in the best product for me. I've stopped at 2 & here's why...The Bogi 600ml - it's a nice size. The extra 100ml is a bonus. It doesn't come with as many extras as the Super Sparrow but the large bottle brush is very useful. The mouth piece is very similar but the straw is slightly wider on the Bogi, so is easier to draw on. When they are in the fridge (lay on side) I use the solid lids and neither have ever leaked. I had a slight issue once with the Bogi,when I chucked it on the passenger seat of the car and it leaked through the air hole on the mouth piece slightly.The Super Sparrow 500ml - The mouth piece does close down better than the Bogi & I've not had any leak issues. The extra accessories are very good for an active/outdoor person and they seem well made but to be honest I've not used the carabiner & trying to get the bottle back in the case can be a two man job, so I've not used that much either. The straw cleaning brush is very useful though.The reason I stopped at 2... Once chilled in the fridge, both containers not only keep the original contents cold for 24 hours+ but will also chill any refills during that time, leaving much more room in the fridge! I haven't used either for hot drinks but based on their performance with cold drinks I have no reason to believe they wouldn't perform just as well. (No cup though and due to the good performance, I wouldn't recommend drinking straight from the flask)At his request I bought my son the 750ml Super Sparrow for Christmas. This is noticeably larger to handle than the 500ml & would be too big for me I think but he loves it.My conclusion... Buy one of each! Get the combination of extras both offer & you'll be prepared for anything :-)

This is an excellent bottle, and it comes with great accessories.It vacuum sealed and can keep things hot or cold - a little less for both than advertised in my experience but good none the less. It comes with two lids - one with a straw and one which is just a screw top. I have been using it with the screw top, and it is fab. It fits in my bag very well and always keeps my drinks cold. When I am on a flight, I ask to have it filled with ice. This is easy as the opening is quite wide, unlike some other metal bottles. Then I get a top up with juice and water throughout the flight, and the ice makes sure all my drink is cold all the way to my destination. I also use no plastic cups which is a bonus.I can also keep it in the seat back or lay it down with the top on it so that it does not topple over - again its wide bottom has a great impact here.All in all, it has been a great bottle - simple to use and very reliable. I wash it regularly - it comes with a brush if you need it - and it is fine — no smell or residue. I love the neoprene sleeve which it comes with - really helps to make sure the bottle does not scratch anything it come into contact with as it is metal - the case makes sure nothing scratches the bottle which keeps it looking pristine.I wish the neoprene cover did not have the permanent strap hooks on it as I do not use the strap. The strap is removable, but the hooks are not. I will probably cut the thread and take off the hooks but I have not found the need to do so till now, so maybe this is not such a problem after all. I fully recommend this bottle, and I looked extensively in shops and online and on Amazon and YouTube before I bought this one. Happy with my purchase and very happy with what it has done to my drinking. I now drink more water than ever before. Get a bottle and you will probably do the same.

I now have 5 of these in 3 different sizes as they are so good. This is perfect handbag size. The colours are so vibrant! Each one comes with a bottle cover to insulate it (although it works fine without it but I would use it on kids bottles as my daughter dropped hers in the playground without the cover on & the paint cracked off on the impact spot ) and you can then use the carry strap or there is a clip if you just want to attach it to a ruck sack for example. You get a stopper lid or a sports bottle sipper lid if you prefer, both with a handle. A reusable straw to use with the sports bottle lid AND a cleaner for the straw & sipper.I have had to buy my daughter many bottles for school over the years before finding this make and none of them came with a cleaning brush and they got manky in the sipper area despite soaking in Milton! Also they only lasted one school year (sometimes less) this is now on the second year and I see no reason why it con't last many more. I use them mainly for water but have also used for hot soup. As they are stainless steel the bottle didn't stain or smell of the soup afterwards. Although you will need a bottle brush if you are going to use regularly for soup & can't rinse it out straight away. If you use for cold drink you don't get the condensation that you get with a plastic bottle and we have never had a leakage despite keeping one in the fridge laying down (my water filter jug doesn't fit in the fridge so fill the bottle instead). Brilliant alternative to crappy plastic water bottles and if you ever get rid of it but I really don't know why you would, it will either be in good enough condition to donate to a charity shop or if you drop it down a mountain & it dents stick it in the metal recycling at the tip. Mine aren't going anywhere, I love them!

The flask itself is excellent. It seems like good quality stainless steel, no dents, nice finish. Insulates very well, as promised.The normal cap has a wood top which is a bit pointless and will get discoloured and mouldy if you don't treat it well. I suggest using food grade oil frequently for a few weeks to gradually coat it and protect it from the elements. Would have been better as all stainless steel in my opinion.The sport cap which has a straw and mouthpiece allowing you to drink without unscrewing the cap is very useful and I use it most of the time. Because it's all plastic, it doesn't clean as easily or insulate as well,but it's convenient if you're frequently sipping from the flask.Other reviews have said that it leaks badly using this cap but I did not find this to be true. There is a small hole in the cap that is to allow air in to the flask when you are sipping, but when you close the mouthpiece, there is a little plastic bump on the mouthpiece that blocks off this hole. So long as you always close the mouthpiece when you put the flask away, it does not leak. However, I did find that if the bottle is filled with cold liquid and stored upside down or on its side, the top of the flask and the cap get very cold and condensation forms on it. This left a little bit of water in my bag when I took it out, but as far as I can tell, the water from the inside did not manage to leak out. That said, I have been using this bottle one month only, so I don't know how long the little rubber seal will last. I think they could have made a much better cap design to fix this issue by using a simple one way rubber valve type seal so that air can be sucked in but water can't come out. Such a valve is very common in standard flasks.

Super Sparrow Stainless Steel Vacuum Insulated Water Bottle - 750ml BlackThis is a really nice bottle to use. It comes well packaged/boxed with a carry strap which will clip onto each side of the bottle, a cleaning brush, two plastic straws, two tops (one with a flip up drinking nozzle) that screw into the top of the bottle and a small carabiner. The bottle is covered with a very tactile sponge cover that aides grip and protects the bottle.The version I purchased was a 750ml bottle in black and was rather pleased when I opened the box and saw what it was like.I really only have one issue and that is the rather extensive and oft repeated claim that it will keep hot liquid for 12 hours and cold liquids for 24 hours.It does not.I put chilled water (from a bottle in the fridge) and a considerable quantity of ice. After only 5 hours it was tepid. I guess the important thing is will the liquid remain untouched for 24 hours ? Personally I doubt it so it becomes rather less important to stay chilled for 24 hours. I bought this to sit on my desk and save continual trips to make fresh drinks. For the period I require, the bottle does what I want and keeps the drink cold, I don't need it to do so for 24 hours but it has to be said that the claims are exaggerated. Likewise I put VERY hot water in the flask and 4 hours later it was mildly warm. I don't intend to use this flask for hot drinks, I only purchased it for cold and not for as long as 24 hours but it has to be said, the claims for hot - 12 hours and cold - 24 hours are highly exaggerated.Otherwise a nice bottle and I have still awarded it 4 stars because it meets what I want.

I wanted to drink more water but don’t like buying bottled water as I don’t want to contribute to the plastic waste problem. The thing is that normal sports bottles don’t keep my water cold enough as I only like water that is really icy.I bought this based on the reviews that said that it keeps water really cold and I am delighted with it.I put ice in the bottle and then fill it up and the water stays icy until I’ve drank it all. Even if I fill it up at night and then drink from it the next day, the ice cubes are still there and the water is still lovely and cold.I’m now drinking more water and have bought two more for my son and daughter who are also now drinking more water because it stays cold.The other advantage of this bottle is that being metal it won’t break. My daughter constantly drops her water bottle and has broken loads in the past, I’m sure she’ll have this one forever as it’s been dropped many times and survived unscathed.The bottle comes with loads of accessories. It has a sports cap that you can use with one of the two straws provided or use without a straw. It also has another wooden cap which you can use if you want to drink directly from the bottle and it has a neoprene type sleeve that you can put over the bottle.I haven’t tried it with hot drinks so I can’t say how long it would keep them hot but going by its performance with cold drinks I’m sure it would be very effective.I’d definitely recommend this bottle as it works really well and doesn’t cause plastic waste from buying bottled water.

This has become my lifeline! I take it everywhere with me and just use it for water that i get from a water filter jug that i keep in the fridge. The most useful part is it comes with interchangeable lids so you can use it for hot drinks with the 'milk churn' lid which is stainless steel and bamboo, or you can use the 'flip up' sippy cup lid which has a straw attached and is plastic construction but robust enough and I use this one all the time. It's predominantly for water to keep by my bed at night so it doesnt get dusty or spilled if i knock it over, and also it keeps the water nice and cold so when you want a drink in the middle of the night or first thing in the morning you can have agood few gulps of nice cold water.Water stays cold for a good 3-6 hours even in the heat of summer and even then it doesnt go 'warm' and disgusting for a long while. I haven't tested the heat insulation properties because i mainly use it for water.There's no metallic taste or plasticky taste and no worries about BPA issues like you get with plastic bottles - i regularly wash mine out with very hot tap water, a bit of dish soap and then i leave it for 30-45 mins to soak with a splash of Milton sterilising fluid and then give it a thorough wash out.By comparison I've been using this for almost 8-10 months now and never had an issue, but I had a C******k E**y before which actually made me ill once as the sip mechanism was overly complicated to clean! Sometimes more expensive options aren't always the best.

I have bought a steel bottle for my wife a while ago and have always wanted to get one for myself however the other company didn't have a colour I liked so I found Super Sparrow instead.I bought the dark green and it looks really good, not too bright and glaring but a subtle matte green. The quality is top notch and the 500ml bottle is think enough to fit in my car cup holder, bonus!The biggest feature I went with this one over so many others is the plastic sports flip up lid and straw. I intend to use it as a everyday bottle to carry with me and to go to the gym and twisting a cap off each time I'd a bit cumbersome in the gym so the sports lid made me choose this one and I'm glad to say it works great.I've seen those push lid types which always seem to fail and hard to clean. This one just flips up and out don't have to touch the mouthpiece with your finger to do it with the little lip on the lid.It can be used with the straw or without which is handy as the straw doesn't get the last bits in the bottom of the flask.It has certainly helped me to drink more with how easy it is to use and drink from and having out ice cold water in it, it kept it cold for at least half a day by which time I finished drinking it but no doubt it would keep it cool for much longer.All in all this is great, definitely would get another one!

Okay, it's a pretty great bottle for having when you need water. Good for gym, work and home life. However, what I really commend it for is its lifesaving abilities. And when I said lifesaving, I mean palm-saving. Because it saved my palm from getting KO'd in one sweet blow. I went running the other morning and, as I turned a corner at the base of a hill, I lost my footing in the slippery tarmac. Yet, hope came in the form of this bottle. I glided along the floor, clasping the bottle as I used its smooth surface to pivot myself in the right direction, maintaining my momentum and sheer speed as I did so. I was listening to the Flash theme while all of this was happening. Needless to say,I looked and felt pretty badass. This is how Olympians feel, I imagine. Maybe one day, I will do this again and get that same thrill. What a wonderful thing it is: life.P.S. I didn't include a picture because I didn't want negative association with this product, but it took a hell of a beating in the ordeal. This being the case, it nevertheless remains structurally sound and now looks even cooler than it did before. Now I have a great icebreaker at the water cooler too. "Hey, I see you looking at my water bottle! Hahahaha, I know, it's hard to resist the urge! Come, let me tell you a story..."

Bought 2of these for the girls going to the gym and a different make for myself for in the car (just to get a particular colour). They are vastly different. The super sparrow is amazing coming with spare straws and a funky slimline bottle brush which fits inside the bottles and is slim enough to clean inside the straws. Mine doesn't have any of that. Theirs has an ergonomically designed mouthpiece which is rounded on one side and flat on the other. Not a big thing you might say? Youd be wrong. My bottle has a square mouthpiece which is difficult to grab between you teeth and hurts your lips when you drink. Apparently there are square mouthed people out there but I'm not one of them.The girls bottles have a rustic looking wooden stopper. Mine is black plastic. Theirs has a funky tubular bag to hold the bottle with a strap so you can sling it over your shoulder and a caribiner to attach it to your belt while you mountain climb. Mine doesn't. In short, mine is pink and not worth the money. The super sparrows however are excellent and as soon as I've taken a couple of pics to show you how good they are, I'm ordering myself one to replace the pink one.P.s. No. I'm not on commission. They're just really that good :)

I have 6 of these bottles for all my family members including children of different ages (18 months - 15 years). The bottles are used by all on a daily basis, the kids love them.The bottles keep water fresh and cold for easily 12hours out of fridge - Its amazing.Brilliant colours and solid stainless steel, my kids drop the bottles on a daily basis and no issues.The carry pouch which wraps around the bottle like a sock and then can be put across the shoulder/chest is fantastic and really helpful when out on trips/journeys etc.The bottle comes with a straw lid, which the kids use and is fantastic and a spare straw is included and a screw lid (which I use). The screw lid is stainless steel.Both lids are leak proof.One of my bottles after 6/7 months was making a sound like a marble was inside but I could not see anything. I contacted seller after 6/7 months and no questions asked I was sent a replacement free of charge with extra lids/straw and carry pouch - Fantastic service and lived up to their promise of guarantee.I think the issue with that bottle was justan anomaly as I have 6 bottles and none have any issues.Keeps water really/really cold and is a bargain.Child friendly too.
