whilst it does what it say on the box it should add "kind of".when it comes its installed with firmware 1.0, online update doesnt work but you can update from usb HOWEVER be warned the v1.1 update has a higher version number than the 1.2 update so if you update to 1.1 then you cant update to 1.2.firmware 1.0 works fine wtih avi, ok with mp4 but with mkv it has issues, keeps freezing or loosing audio, updatng to 1.2 seems to pretty much fix this as only 1 mp4 file has failed since i updated.miracast wouldn't connect to a smasung s5 (on v1.0)there is a serious issue with the menu system if you update to firmware 1.2, it forgets the settings every single time you access the usb so if you like an alphabetical list yo have to access the video files,

I was looking forward to fitting this to my home network ethernet system. I expected it to function correctly straight out of the box. And for the most part it did. There is an annoying delay on the remote control to media player response time but I can live with it. The range of the remote is puny at around 3 to 4 feet. You have to be very close to it to get a positive response to the remote.The one thing it failed to do was the main reason I bought it - to play films I have stored digitally on my remote home storage drive. I am still trying to figure out how to get around it. If I send the film to usb then put that on the media player directly the film plays without issue.

An ideal item that allows connection to your television either by Wi-Fi and HDMI or AV cables to show or listen to pretty much any media files you have.Easily setup and running on cables within a few minutes (unless using Wi-Fi which takes a little longer to enter access codes). It's compact size does not take up much space around the TV base either.Only found a couple of "bugs" this version only has one USB 2 port (but USB 3 items connected still run) previous models have had 2 of these connections available. And the remote control seem to work better if used closer to the unit rather than from same position as "normal" TV remote.

Excellent little gadget!In my instance I needed to be able to play back videos in 1080i to match other sources on my vision mixer (ATEM 4K)Of course this could have meant purchasing an additional laptop and more expense just to play back videos when required and this item and its price was a no-brainer.very easy to use, remote and menu is simple.Plays back all manner of formats too which is ace.Great product!

THE BEST £29.99 I HAVE SPENT ON EBAY, HAVE USED IT NOW FOR 5 WEEKS , EVERY NIGHT, HAVE TRANSFERED MY FILM AND TV FILES TO A 750GB EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE, THE UPSCALING IS TOP DRAW, PICTURE QUALITY FIRST CLASS, SOME OF MY FILES ARE VERY OLD DOWNLOADS OF TV SERIES BUT THE REPRODUCTION IS UNBELIEVABLE, ALSO ITS POSSIBLE TO CHANGE THE FORMAT TO 16/10. (AND OTHER SIZES). ALL IN ALL I CAN THOROUGHLY RECOMMEND IT,

Only complaint is the remote control is a bit sluggish even after removing the protective film that covers the IR receiver. That said given all of the features of this compact and low cost product it is a small problem which you quickly get used to. Would recommend to anyone looking for a low-cost and compact media player. Only one issue - it will not play *.ISO files (but it never claimed to).

Great little device! Plays movies, music, pics, and even some other files! Just one thing, the pack contains a composite cable (2 x audio, 1 video RCA lead) and not HDMI which one would expect with an HDMI device, so you have to have a spare HDMI lead or buy one.

Auto Mutli region output was the main reason for my purchase so that I could view multi media on my Japanese import tv screens not supported in UK. However apart from that the unit performs very on my home tv providing amazing quality video output .

Outstanding piece of kit added advantage of a micro card slot .I have music and audiobooks on it sound is very clear has everything I wanted and at £25 was a bargan

Simply video overview and moving between folders, play almost any video format, integrated Wifi a LAN, good picture and responding good even for HD resolution.

Having purchased the same item some time ago, it was decided to get another one for one other room as they're so easy to use. Excellent product & easy to use.

Download films to micro sd card and took on holiday.Also got micro sd slot which used for camera pics to show on tv. Connects easily using wifi or rj45
