I bought these to replace an aging pair of larger bins and a very small, compact pair. Both of which I was aware that the image quality wasn't as good as it should have been. These Steiner Bins really do show the difference and I now know what I've been missing all these years! Excellent image quality, sharp and much more light in the lens. They just ooze quality all round.Easy to use with a central and eye piece (left hand) focus bezels.Very compact and lightweight; they'll fit in a decent size pocket without a problem.Soft eye cups are a bit difficult to get used to but they can be removed.Only slight criticisms are that given they are 'wildlife'compact binoculars a smaller and more compact case with a belt loop as well as a shoulder strap would have been more useful. The hard case they come with is too bulky for outdoor use and the should straps on that are not particularly secure.A full set of lens covers would also have been more useful, rather than the ones provided just for the eyepiece. The soft cleaning cloth is a nice touch.Apart from that, they are great!

These are excellent binoculars. First class optics give a clear and bright image and a wide field of view. Colours are true to life and the images are razor sharp. I have no regrets about my purchase. Currently on holiday in The Hebrides and they are a joy to use - I've seen a couple of otters that I probably would have missed with my old binoculars (which weren't bad, by the way).I had considered Swarovski, Leica, etc., but had fancied Steiner for a while and these are an upgrade to their excellent Discovery model. The price is very good (compare it to UK prices) and delivery from Germany was swift. Not too keen on the "Wildlife" name, but it does what it says on the tin! Very comfortable in use, too, and rugged.I use these for wildlife watching, mainly coastal, and they are perfect for the job. I am very pleased with this purchase.

For the money, I reckon these may be the best lightweight small-size bins around. I did a lot of online research before choosing to buy these and haven't been disappointed in use. These are ideal for bird watching as they are light but very bright and the magnification is large enough but not too large. Close focusing is also good. I chose this model because they are waterproof, but for £50 less you could buy the same make Ultrabright bins of similar spec, from Steiner, just not waterproof. German made and feel very durable. Nice carrying pack, good comfortable neck strap. The eyepiece covers are a bit big and clumsy to fit. As a result I lost them off the bins at first use. However, the reason you pay the money is for the quality of the experience it offers. That's why they are "Tip top" in my view.

A good quality pair of binoculars for the price. Compact enough to fit in a coat pocket they come with a semi-hard case and a shoulder strap. I would have liked to have lens covers included for when carrying them without the case but apart from that I'm very happy with them.

They've got good image quality and fold up nice and small. I'm very happy with them as a portable alternative to my main binos which are much bigger, heavier and higher quality.
