A very high quality lamp, which is very easy to fit and set-up. It has the following functions; it has an adjustable low light setting from 0% to 100% of the max wattage of the bulb fitted, and an adjustment of the ambient light level when this minimum light level turns on. The other adjustments are the time period that the bulb stays at it's maximum light level after the movement sensor is activated, and lastly, you can adjust the sensor range of either 5M or 12M, as well as adjusting the angle of the pick-up area.So basically, you can have a low level security light which turns on at dusk and then turns on to maximum brightness when movement is detected (for your preset time period).

I purchased and installed it immediately Sept 16. It is of good quality and looks very smart. The smartest lamp in my development I can say. I have it set up to light up at sun set on dimmed and when the PIR is activated it lights up fully. The dimmed light is enough to see you to the front door anyway. I have used a Phillips bulb 6w (the 9 watt is too bright in my opinion) (See link)https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B010UQK9GI/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1The light is the nearest you will find to the normal incandescent bulb. It has been on every night since installation and I haven't had to change the bulb yet.

This is a top quality product. Easy to install and program, although the instructions could be clearer. Program the unit before fitting the outer case. There are 3 program buttons - you just press the middle one until the red led in the sensor flashes, wait the amount of time you want the light to remain on after each activation, 2 minutes in my case, then press the button again. Then wait until dusk when the light level is at the point you want the unit to become active and press the left hand button once until the red led flashes. I didn't touch the other button. I fitted an es27 2000h halogen bulb so hopefully I won't need to touch it for a few years.

Good solid construction well made as expected. the wires were a little fiddly to get right but apart from that very good and setting up the lux and the time on were pretty easy too. you can have it set to stay on through the night hours on a lower setting ~ say 10 to 20% of the full brightness a good idea when using an LED dimmable lamp. Well pleased with the purchase as it has replaced a Steinel fitting that was on the wall working for fifteen years

I have had this for about 3 years now and it has continued to work without fail under very rugged conditions facing the sea with salt, wind and rain. Top marks for durability. Here is the bad side: although it is made of aluminium, this does corrode and the black coating is detaching, some of the screws have oxidised and can not be removed. So if you are in an area without sea and salt this is great, if not try something galvanised.

Hi,this lamp is for those looking for sophistication and elegance in design with fantastic functionality. It's smart and worth every penny. The settings take a couple of read-throughs to ensure you understand the functionality. This will work with the sensor, or as a light according to how you switch it on. Enjoy.

This lamp is great once you program it to your requirements!!In the programmer write up ignore the lines in between the 3 paragraphs just look at the symbols and then follow the instructions.You will also find it's easier to carry out settings at dusk when the LED lamp is more visible.

This was the only model I could find that would switch on at dusk, at a low level and then switch to high level when movement is detected. Works perfectly with dimmable LED bulbs. Not the cheapest lamp, but it is well built, has a tough metal outer shell and does exactly what I wanted.

Great product. Having installed the light I can now see that the design, construction and use options justify the apparent high price when this unit is loosely (because the is no direct comparison) compared with the usual DIY chain items. I'd happily recommend the product to anyone.

The first one lasted 15+ years. The new one is more sophisticated and flexible, needs some care to set it up but once installed is A1. Some instructions not 100% clear but Steinel UK give very good support. Highly recommended.

Even my electrician commented that this is a classy product. If you can't follow the instructions use the Internet to find better ones but when this is set it is beautiful, rock solid, and has a great range of functions.

Works fine looks good with a frosted Led bulb, bit tricky to set up as instructions a bit confusing but seems to work perfectly without messing around with timer etc. Worth it as smart, glad we picked this one.

Great quality, 2nd one I’ve brought as first ones been trouble free for several yearsI find the set up instruction unclear, having trouble setting up to my needs, can’t remember how I did the first one

Fantastic looking and great quality. Took a few days to set it correctly as we wanted the dusk till dawn setting on, but really happy with it and it was well worth the money.

Great purchase. We looked for a while to find the right outside sensor light that was quality and it was worth the wait. An effective and classy light.
