Pretty impressed with this game which really makes great use of the move controller. It's a fun game with quirky graphics and upbeat (if slightly annoying) commentary. The demo (downloadable and playable if you already have a controller) gives some idea of the game, however doesn't show some of the best of the 20 mini-games. We particularly enjoy popping the blow up fish, zapping robots and also slicing falling fruit. Some of the games are a little bizarre - one involves you using the controller as a fan to blow chicks to safety, but in the main they are well thought through, bashing a donkey pinata and brusher a crocodile's teeth is great fun. This is,as others have said MUCH better than anything you can get with the wii - mainly as you are playing in effect in 3D - when you have to paint on the screen you really feel you are doing it.This is a fun game for kids - the controller is quite big for small hands, my 4 year old can manage - just - it's ideal I would say for age 7's and above and to play as a family. There are lots of fun elements and challenges, and you can make your own avatar and voice recording via the eye camera.Overall, great fun, and likely to be fairly long-lived, though it does get a bit samey after a while, kids seem to love it!

I think everyone knows what your getting with Start the Party and therefore it plays to its strengths. You have over 20 mini games that turn your move controller into different objects for quick fire mini games. Some like fish popping, topping catcher, ghost scarer use the controller to mimic your movements. Others such as Robot Destroyer hark back to the evil but madly addictive Mirrors game from the original Eyetoy. Infact, EyeToy Play is very much the sibling of this. The photo characters are helerious and the single player survival mode is bound to have leaderboard lovers in a tis.If I could talk about down sides, there arent as many mini games as I'd like to see and one or two overlap slightly.Either way I bought this,Kung Fu Rider and Sports Champions and found myself enjoying this much more immediately - especially with friends.

It's fun, it's fast, it's funky, it's easy to play.Everyone in my family enjoyed playing a few games. Most of the games are really simple to get to grips with only a couple, such as the bubble-fish bursting, taking some practice to get right. There are three levels of difficulty for each of the 20+ games and you can pit a player on Hard against a player on Easy and still be fairly evenly matched.Be warned: You'll need a fair amount of distance between the TV and any obstacles facing it. I needed at least 6 feet to be able to calibrate effectively. As with all games, it's likely to get boring after too many hours of play.It is perhaps wise that it be stowed away to keep it fresh when played with company.I think Sony would have been kinder/smarter to have bundled it with the Move controller.

This is probably an essential game if you have a PS3 move. Great for parties and family gatherings. No kids in our household and we still had fun.The commentary can be a bit annoying but after a few drinks it all becomes a giggle. The fish popping is great but the best is blowing the chicks into the nests with the fan - the fan is un-guarded so there are the occasional puff of feathers and the chick is gone !!! So funny. As to the responsiveness of the controller it is spot on - no lag at all between moving the controller and the image moving. It's a good example of how controllers like the move should work.As it does work well then any games that don't would be down to software rather than the system itself.Just wish there were more games for the move.

Despite being a little lower than the typical full priced retail game, Start the Party feels too much of a carrot at the end of a Move controller to entice buyers into something quick to take home. The mini games are repetitive at times and while I admit that the technology and accuracy behind augmented reality is clever, I feel this game is just too sparse to be sold separately and should have been included in the starter pack even if a few pounds more.Being one of a only a few games released in conjunction with the Move and with a low age rating, you may not have much choice at the moment. I would recommend to shop around and look for the best price given the content.

This really shows what Move is capable of. It blows anything I have ever seen on the Wii totally into oblivion! The augmented reality works really well so good it has to be seen to be believed.I' not sure if there is a demo on the Move Starter pack (as I already have the camera, so just bought the Move controller), but there is a demo of this on PSN that has a few levels and demonstrates nicely how good this game is.If you just got a Move and you like fun games for when the family is round, or you are having a party, then this is a must have game.

well, the feature of taking your (optionally goofy looking) picture to appear in the scoreboard is great fun.the game has some very interesting and fun minigames.the music and voices work really well and create a fun environment.you just want to jump around.there is a "fruit ninja" minigame: amazing.the "object representations" (like a toothbrush, a fan, a sword, etc) are really accurate. Very impressed.Great for playing in groups.Solo, may lose interest quickly (like a few weeks).

I was sceptical about this game, having had a Wii for a few years and being truly bored to death with the amount of "party" games that just aren't fun and look pretty dated now. So, we got this initially for the kids to play on my PS3, I expected it to at the least just look great but apart from that it's SO much fun to play. The way it puts you on-screen holding the objects is mind-blowing!!!I can't keep the kids away from this, they are almost insanely obsessed with it!!a MUST-BUY

I purchased this for my grandson's 11th birthday. Didn't know if he would find it a bit babyish but I needn't have worried. Every one thoroughly enjoyed it including me. It's great fun and I recommend it to anyone. It's amazing we loved to see ourselves cutting hair and brushing the crocs teeth and loved watching each other.Anyone with thePS3 Move will love this fun filled game for any age.

An excellent game for four players the kids (range from 4 to 10) can get involved as the settings range from easy to hard, you can set this individually for each player while playing the same game which was very good.A good family game for PS3 only, and you must have a move controller ( you don’t need one each you just pass it on when it’s there turn to play).

Our daughter desperately wanted a PS3 Move Controller for Christmas so we searched a suitable game to go with it. This game is brilliant. Graphics and games are excellent, as you would expect from PS3! The paint game actually looks like real paint, even the brush moves like a real brush. Get fun for all.

Bought this as part of christmas so not yet out the wrapper but downloaded the free demo and the kids and i had so much fun, it was only 3-4 games i got to have a shot at but so looking forward to the kids ripping the paper off this one to enjoy many more fun fun fun games!! Great family fun!

I do really enjoy this game however it is a bit limited - The games are fun and are great for parties where it gets quite competative - but once youve played it a few times it does get a little wearing. I would recommend it but to be played every now and again

The game is a hit with kids and women. I had a party involving adults and none of the lads wonted to play. Women were a different story... Especially after a few drinks. I recommend this product for anybody who has to deal with too much of estrogen or kids.
