Hello, I have a very driven 3 year old German Shepherd Dog that loves balls and discs. We have tried over 20 different discs and this one fits the bill better than all the rest. We actually prefer the 9" model as it is easier to swim, this review is for both sizes.Pros:Floats high in the waterEasy to throw, even for non-frisbee folks we meet at the beach or park.Durable! Rainan is a chewer, yet 3 discs last 2 months! We do a thing where three discs are involved. Through Amazon our disc budget comes to 50 cents a day.soft on the teeth when catching direct shots! Some discs are rock hard -very bad. This disc flies really well as compared to all the floppy discs that throw like an inner tube or the ones that don't float in the air (fabric discs or hard heavy discs). My dog,and the dogs we meet, seem to really like the mouth feel. This is important.CONS:Not Totally durable. I can't leave the disc with my dog. and it wears out...This disc sometimes bounces off his mouth. When throwing to a human I noticed this as it often bounces off your hand. You can't choose colors. Yellow is best in low light, but looks trashed quickest.I would like to see more dogs out there getting solid exercise. The name is too long and not easy to remember. I know it but people don't. I am often ask "What was the name of that toy". The company name is first, StarMark. Which is a cool name but describes nothing useful. Then merged after is the model, Easy Glider. Four names are not good for word of mouth sales. Or is it Duraform StarMark Easy Glider? Ha I have to tell people to go to amazon and search Easy Glider or Star Mark. Then look for the product that looks like this. Oh yea it might say DURAFORM in bold print but don't search for Durafoam.. that's what is is made of?? Everything else is what we liike!!Great disc! I am a disc advocate as compared to throwing a ball. With a ball you can do just about one thing, that is, throw in one direction and the dog chases in one direction. With a nice disc, such as this one, you can float it so it lands just where you know your dog can catch. Or just go really far. Rainan looves the "rabbit run throw" where you turn an overhand throw vertical and the disc rolls and jumps, he snags it on the run. When he returns I shoot another and he catches it. Then another.A disc is so much more interesting than a ball. For the human too! You both get better and better.Using more than one disc is also more mind stimulating. Thanks dog lovers!Raindog

I am SO happy to have tried out this Easy Glider. We've been through a lot of frisbees both before and after trying this one; several have been good but none top this one. Some were too hard rubber or too hard for the dog to pick up off the ground (Kong flyer), others shredded too quickly (pretty much all ones that had any sort of fabric, but especially flip floppy one).I'm on my 2nd easy glider in 2 years, and it's holding up well. It's our beach toy, and friends will actually recognize me and my dog when they see this bright yellow frisbee flying through the air. It's easy to throw, my dog LOVES catching it in the air (she's getting pretty good),and I'm learning how to throw it against the hard winds and still get some distance out of it. It floats, it doesn't get heavy or soggy, it's easy for the dog to pick up off sand or out of water, and it lasts.I will add disclaimer that my dog does not destroy or shred toys. We do play tug with this toy, and she does love to shake it around after catching it, so I don't know if I'd call her 'gentle' with toys, but her toys do tend to last forever. This toy has a million bite marks, and eventually the frisbee starts pulling apart at the outside edge, but the last one took about 13 months to start falling apart and we have about 9 months on the current one.One thing is that this toy is very light, so catches the wind easily. For that reason I can't use it in the yard, as too often it catches an odd current and ends up over the wall at the neighbor's or stuck on a roof. What is a con at home is a serious pro at the beach, though!I'll probably keep experimenting with different frisbees just for novelty's sake, but I think we'll always have one of these around.

It's difficult to classify this dog disc, as it doesn't really fly like a normal frisbee. If you want a disc that hangs up in the air, and "floats" this is not what you're looking for. However, my best air floating disc, the Aerobie Dogobie, does NOT float in water, which means that if it goes into a cloudy pond or murky lake, and you don't feel like fishing it out yourself, it's likely a goner. In the middle of Spring or Fall, the temperature of Lake Michigan here in Chicago can get downright frigid, and unless you have your hip-high waders on, you can just let the Lake Dog Toy Gods have your disc. At least this one will float on the water until your dog gets it.If you want this disc to fly like a normal frisbee, you have to throw it very hard into the wind, and not just a slight breeze. With the right amount of wind this will fly and hang up long enough for your dog to catch it, if they can, since it's such a large disc; it winds up being quite a mouthful for my Eddie, a 75 pound lab mix - a lot of the time it will bounce out of his mouth, and he often has trouble bringing it back as it will sometimes get picked up by the wind and torn from mouth-grasp.All in all, it's a good addition to my bag of dog toys, but mostly as a specialty item. The durafoam material is easy on Eddie's mouth, and even though it does show some puncture marks, that doesn't affect the flight of the disc - but I wish it were just a tad bit thinner and more rigid and maybe just a touch heavier - it would then probably fly a lot easier and farther. Most of the time I just throw it as far as I can into Lake Michigan for Eddie to retrieve, it's great for that.

It is a durable material, and incredibly easy on the mouth for dogs who are masters at catching a frisbee in the air. If you have a really strong chewer, maybe it wouldn't hold up as well. My dog likes to chew, but (thankfully) she is not very destructive about it and has not intentionally ripped or chewed up any of her toys.I selected this disc because I am trying to give her something to chew on (which she did), while also having a versatile toss toy. I can see she needs to chew, despite her gentle ways. If you have a mild chewer, I think this is perfect. I also wanted something that floats, so it was just the right thing for my sporty little one.My pup is not a master catcher and struggles to pick it up off the ground.I intend to attach handles to it so she can pick it up more easily. If it wasn't so difficult for her, I can tell she would like it a lot! She just gets bored of trying to pick it up.It does kind of stink when it's new -- like chemicals. I intend to literally rub it on dirt or something to try to get the smell to go away. This has nothing to do with the product, really... but I wish they had a 7in option as well! That would make it pretty ideal for my dog.Overall, I can't give it a bad review. It's awesome, I actually love this product... just maybe not the perfect thing for my dog.

It is a real pleasure to write something positive about an engineered product and I am a retired mech. structural eng., rather not given to complements. My English she-bullterrier Kora loves chasing this toy rolled on the grass and she can put solidly teeth into it without destroying it. In addition it floats and I live on the Atlantic side of Florida and she loves going after it rolled along the beach, or thrown into the waves (you should see that!). I get a ton of appreciation about her antics with that disk from the passerbys.Note that as a bullterrier, Kora cannot see the tip of her nose, therefore pulling the frisbees from the air is not her fortee anyway. The breed has been developed to professionally fight rats, which as everybody knows,( or should) fly only when thrown and not for long. Aerodynamically this frisbee is only decent. However rolling, although it takes some skill to learn to do it properly, is excellent. Heft, size, bite, balance are just about nearly perfect (11"). My dog's is carrying it around proudly and nosing everybody to play with her.In a strong tugging war the toy will break after it is used down by biting, but otherwise it is almost indestructible and trust me, destroying toys is what my dog does thouroughly and professionally.

This is my favorite Frisbee and I play Frisbee almost every day with my dog. I bought this item 8 times between 2011-2015. (Not necessarily one disc per purchase) I currently have five discs as back up! I keep coming back to this particular Frisbee because:(1) This Frisbee flies so well. It is easier to throw this Frisbee straight & far than any other Frisbee I had tried. It will continue to fly well until your dog destroys it.(2) Soft & durable: This is made of durable foam-like material that won't hurt your dog's mouth. This Frisbee is not indestructible - it will be destroyed if you let the dog tug/chew on it. However, it is reasonably durable that it lasts months to a year for my medium-size dog who tugs on the disc.See video if you'd like to see how much she tugs on it.Comparison between colors and sizesColor:They randomly send either yellow or purple depending on availability. Yellow is pretty and easy to see in the dark but it tends to look nasty when it gets dirty. Purple stays looking good but my dog sometimes can't find it in the dark.Size:They have 9" and 11". I like 9" better because 11" is heavier and harder to throw far. If you are a strong thrower with a bigger dog, you may like 11". My dog is medium size (30-40lb) and 9" is just fine.

Our dog, a small labradoodle, loves this disk. In fact this one is the fourth one we've bought - only because other dogs ran off with the first two. We have to be careful not to leave this disk too near our neighbor's house, or his labs will sneak over and grab it!We've found this toy a lot safer than balls, plus much easier to find when it's accidentally lost or thrown too far. Our labradoodle is prone to chewing on toys when he has down time, and hasn't been able to do much to this one. However, we don't leave it for extended periods with him. I don't believe any dog toy is indestructible. This "easy glider" is a LOT softer on his mouth than regular frisbee-type ones. I can tell because he really prefers it.I like this disk because it's very easy to throw, it throws like a normal frisbee. It's firm, but soft. Not floppy like some of the soft disks designed for dogs. Our dog also loves fetching in the water, and that's been the other bonus of this toy. It floats. We have two colors right now, a yellow and a purple. Surprisingly, our dog can see each one equally well. I was originally worried that the purple would be invisible in grass, but that hasn't been the case.

I have 2 border collies who are both ball and frisbee nuts. The female loves every ball or frisbee, and the male will tear up anything that she plays with, a jealousy issue I think. I purchased one of these years ago, and it is still intack pretty much. Other frisbees dont last long at all, this one has been chewed, shook, torn at, etc., and it still flies with little bits missing. They are so light, but soft on my dogs' teeth and mouth, they will catch them in the air and not afraid of them because they are hard. They fly very well, goes pretty long distances with not a lot of effort. They also float, which makes it nice when we walk to the ditch, my little girl loves water, and the combo of water and frisbees makes her walk complete! I purchased 2 more of these for my little girl, and she loves them and the male cant destroy it! Only wish I could choose the color! I received 2 yellow ones, whick is fine, I can find them easily in the yard, but would have chosen more than one color. In a nutshell, these are the best for a dog that destroys!

I've tried out at least 5 different dog frisbee throwing disks, and this is my dogs favorite. You never have to worry about this disc hurting your dog. It's made out of a tough light weight foam material, but is ridged enough to throw well. It doesn't throw quite as well as the Hyperflite Jawz disc, but still pretty good. This is my Cattle dog's favorite disc and I'm currently on my 2n'd disc, after 6-months of playing 20-30 minutes every day. Because of it's 'light weight', you have to throw it 'harder' than a more traditional disc for distance. The only problem I have is with the color selection. If you order one, you never know what color you will get. My dog definitely prefers the YELLOW,and almost ignores a PURPLE one. I had to track down another yellow at a local store.BTW - DO not let your dog use this as a 'chew-toy', or for 'tug or war' it's not meant for that.

My dog loves the Easy Glider. We love the Easy Glider. It has enough mass to fly easily, even on windy days, but isn't packing so much heft that it will hurt her. It always flies well. It holds up to some gentle tug-o-war, though I find this activity perforates the foam and, if we play tug-o-war often enough, there'll be enough perforations to tear the product (it takes a long time). Even torn in half, it still flies well. It floats, we've lost a a lot toys within five minutes of bringing it home because the dog takes it into the neighbor's pond where they sink just out reach of a rake. The Easy Glider always stays afloat. It holds up to the sun and weather. The sun does not make the foam break down,it doesn't absorb heat from the sun or fade. In cold weather it doesn't become so cold the dog can't use it. It's just a great toy.

My Rhodesian/Lab mix Odie thinks the Easy Glider Max is the greatest thing on the planet. He loves just carrying it around or running with it around the yard. It's also his symbiotic toy when he has to poo. I have no idea why but its what he wants when nature calls...and yes we have had collateral damage during a poo session. But the great thing about the Easy Glider Max is...it can be washed off. It has held up to teeth and misguide throws and only has some minor scratches and dirt on it. I bought two in November of 2013 thinking they would not hold up and haven't used the second one yet. Also I've notice Odie really doesn't like the hard plastic Frisbees(generic term).I think because they hurt his mouth...the Easy Glider Max is soft and Odie has no hesitation to chase and catch it in the air. Great product.

I love this frisbee but I wish you had the option to choose colors. Yellow is the most visible but I've only received it one time. Purple is dark and tough to see, particularly at night.Over the past 3 years I've purchased 4 of them because my dog accidentally loses them or, after 2 years, his chewing has finally started to make the frisbee inoperable. The foam is extremely durable given that his teeth can otherwise systematically saw/cut the limbs/tails off of plushies in a few minutes. The only time I've seen people have trouble throwing them is 1) when they aren't skilled at throwing any frisbee and 2) if they throw it upside down (you'd be surprised how many people do this!).The side facing the ground is the smooth side. I can throw this frisbee pretty far - perhaps 60-80 yards.

I previously reviewed this about a year ago about five months after I purchased it. I took it to the beach where my sons Golden goes swimming 3-4 times per week, year round. The disk is easy to throw, floats on top of the water and is quite durable. Earlier this month I went to visit him and low and behold the disk was still in great shape about a year and one half after I purchased it and very functional. Now his dog is a rugged golden who loves to carry the disk and is not quick to release it. Often we have to drag it out of his mouth and pull it away from him. Surprisingly the disk looks great and is not beat up. I was going to buy him another disk for Christmas but its good condition means I will pass until this time next year.A great product this is fit for use and durable.

My dog loves this frisbee so much I have to hide it from her. Regular plastic frisbees last about an hour with my dog and I have one of these that has been in service for almost two years. This one was purchased as a replacement but despite the original frisbee's chewed up state, it still flies and does what it's supposed to. If his frisbee is used as a tug toy, I can see where it would probably tear. It is highly dense heavy foam that my pup can dig her teeth into without affecting the shape. It also floats, which is perfect for the beach. The only drawback is that it seems to collect a lot of sand when it's wet but I just throw it in the water to wash it off.I get so many questions about this frisbee from over dog owners and all I can say is, get one already.

We actually found our first easy glider at the beach. It was floating in the water. He loved it right away. He can catch it in the air and pick it up off the ground with no problem. We like the easy glider the best because you can throw it at the ground and make it roll a long ways. Our dog likes to chase it better that way because he can't always see it in the air till it hits the ground. He won't chase tennis balls anymore because he won't put the easy glider down till you throw it. We thought we lost it so we bought another one, but we found the old one under the stove where he shoved it under with his nose. Now we have two, so I will throw one and then the other. It keeps him going none stop.We are always going to have to own an easy glider from now on.
