This is a great product. I have used almost every kind of dispenser type to you there and this is one of the best I've ever come across. The product is well made, has a certain heft to it so it won't simply roll underneath the couch. It bobs around which is fun for my dog, and the dispensing hole is adjustable so I can extend play time by making it more difficult for the food to come out.A lot of people have complained about the noise, so I was a bit concerned about it. I live in an apartment with vinyl wood flooring. So far I have not witnessed any problems. It makes a bit of a shaker noise when it's moving around but nothing I can't tolerate and I wouldn't call it a nuisance.I think you'd have to have some pretty shotty walls and floors for this to bother the neighbours. I don't think it's any louder than a bouncing ball to be honest. As for the setup, it is really fool proof. You twist open the yellow lid, put the kibbles or treats in there, shake around till they've all fallen into the green cavity, close the opening and screw the lid back on. Next you adjust the small opening on the exterior of the green cavity. Voila it's done.To show my my puppy how to play it, I took his paw and give the toy a little shove. Some kibbles fell out immediately. I had set it to the easiest level so dispensing was guaranteed. He caught on right away and started pushing the thing around. At first when the toy bobbed around it startled my puppy somewhat. It was very cute watching him bark at the thing. He was a bit too gentle with it at first but boy did the food motivate him to get rougher with it. As mentioned there is some heft to the thing so it doesn't get shoved around that easily.Once in a while my dog will push the toy all the way to the corner underneath the stairs, wedging in an impossible spot. I would then have to intervene and pull it out. Size wise this works for my cocker spaniel puppy. The cavity looks spacious so I imagine it will remain useful for the foreseeable future.I'm very happy with this product. I paid full price for it and it has incredible value. It's cheaper than a lot of toys out there but the quality is top notch. It's very easy to clean and I expect it to last a long time. The adjustable slot makes it fun always for the dog. I use it now to feed my dog dinner and he gets very excited by the sight of it. I would definitely recommend this product if you are shopping around something interactive for a food-driven dog.

Over the years we've tried a variety of different toys of this type that dispense treats or bits of kibble to keep the dog entertained in the evening however one of the constant problems even with the better ones is that they only work well with certain sizes of kibble. Even some of those with adjustable parts (such as sections you can cut back) they tend not to handle changes of kibble size meaning it either comes out too quickly or not at all.I came across this toy in the Amazon lightning sale and it solves this issue with a couple of adjustable slots, one feeding from the top section to the main part and one on the exit for the kibble from the main section. This allows the flow of kibble to be easily controlled and with a little adjustment makes it enough of a challenge for the dog without it being impossible. Unlike his large Kong dispenser this toy is quicker to self right making it more difficult for the dog to keep rolling it on its size and quickly empty the treats.Size wise our dog is a fairly small show Cocker Spaniel and chose the smaller version of the toy for him and it's a good size for him - there's plenty of space for kibble and he can easily belt it around...perhaps a bit too easily. It's a good treat to be able to give the dog in the evening as it only needs a small handful of kibble and he gets plenty of entertainment knocking it around getting the kibble out.

I bought this for my lab puppy when he was about 4 months old and he loves it! He is now nearly 8mo and doesn't really get fed from a dish as the bob-a-lot keeps him out of mischief so well. He has tried chewing it and sometimes manages to get the little door open further but we haven't left him with it empty for long. It is pretty sturdy and when he picks it up and drops it, to let you know he wants a refill, it hurts a heck of a lot if it lands on your toes! It can also whack into your ankles and has dented along the bottom of our fridge door! I left it at a friends once and drove an hours round trip to collect it because it is so indispensable! On holiday this week it helped to distract my dog from chewing furniture and bothering my mum's elderly dog. I would totally recommend it and can see my pup using this for some time to come.Edit:My lab is now 20 months old and we had to take the bob-a-lot away at a yr after we realised he had played with it so much by batting it with his front paws that he had actually damaged his elbows as a youngster and is now bilaterally dysplastic and quite lame. He was 5 mo old when it started and we had followed all the rules about exercise and got a pup from a long line of dysplasia clear genes. Sad as he loved to play with it. So I would be careful and not overdo it with a developing youngster.

my dog really loves this toy and we get a lot of use out of it. it's really simple to use - not too challenging for dogs but very stimulating nonetheless. treats go into the yellow top (make sure they're small enough and rounded enough to fit down the hole and make it down the small spiral inside) and they come out the hole at the bottom as your dog pushes and rolls the ball around the room. the ball always stays upright and the holes where the food enters and exits can be altered to accommodate different treats and increase/decrease the difficulty. it's really durable (my dog is a patterdale x staffy) and has been thrown down the stairs, pushed around the room, the garden, in mud, on stone, and scratched and bitten several times and no damage at all! it's a good toy for playing together with your dog, as well as a good toy for leaving them with for something to occupy themselves whilst you're gone or busy. even after they've finished the treats inside they'l likely keep going in hopes of one morethe only con is that if you have wooden floors the ball can make quite a lot of noise and often my dog pushes it against walls and doors quite loudly (hence why we often use it in the garden as our whole house is laminate!) something to bear in mindgreat product anyway and one of the few worth the price

After a couple of nervy starts (mainly getting bopped in the face as the toy rolled back towards her) my 15 year old shih tzu rolled back the years & engaged totally with this toy, rolling it all over the place & scratching at the opening until all the treats were out. She had it sussed within about 15 minutes. Once the first lot of treats were gone, we reloaded & she was off again for about another 30 minutes (with breaks - she is very old after all!).Obviously I can make it more challenging by putting larger treats in given that she has already worked out how to slide the opening to its maximum. First thing this morning, she has been asking for her treat dispenser. So away she went again, having a grand time. All I’d say is that the small is definitely only suitable for small dogs & puppies. She can’t lift the dispenser as her mouth is too small & she doesn’t have many teeth left now either, plus, it’s very weighty.Dog is now consequently sulking on the sofa, whilst I’m writing this. We will soon be heading out for some slightly larger treats to challenge her with... overall highly impressed. I think the key with these types of things is to vary them, swapping them in & out for their novelty value and to not forget to count the treats in as part of their general diet. Love it!

Our dog loves this! We fill it up with cat food biscuits when he is going to be left for any length of time, and it keeps him busy whilst we go out. The little doors allow you to control how much food comes out as the dog rolls it around (i.e. really easy or quite tough). Our dog worked out the technique very quickly and he loves rolling it all around the kitchen. He is a cocker spaniel and the large sized model seems fine for him. Couple of minor negatives - the toy is quite heavy (necessarily for its design) so if your dog is boisterous it can make a hell of a noise pushing it around a room, and possibly damage to cupboard plinths etc (although if you have a boisterous dog, these are probably already damaged!) The other negative is that the screw top part of the toy doesn't look like it'll stand up to vigorous chewing - our dog has had a go at it and it's starting to look rather chewed up. Still works fine, but probably wouldn't last long when faced with a dedicated chewer.Overall, our dog loves this toy and is often very reluctant to give it up, even when it's empty.

Great treat dispenser for supervised play. Mine has powerful distructive jaws when he wants but he was so gentle and having fun with this one. I helped rock it to start to show him the ‘game’ then off he went rocking it around the house. It’s made of strong plastic and can damage furniture if thrown. My female kicked it and it snapped the phone filter off the wall hence no broadband for 24 hours (thank goodness for prime!) it’s like kicking a small bowling ball. Also when I briefly left the room I found my boy had stopped playing and had clasped it with both paws to chew off the lid. This shows the importance of a) never leaving alone with it even if they know the game and b)how easily anything can be chewed into pieces. He grooved the lid badly with his teeth but it does still work. Remember it’s full of treats and the whole thing will smell of food to a dog hence why they will be tempted to chew any of it.10/10 for fun and design. I love watching them enjoy play by using their minds.

My lab love's her Bob-a-lot! Of course, she knows that this thing gives her treats - so what's not to love haha!! She picked it up straight away. This is made from thick, very sturdy plastic. Very nice quality. Easy to fill just by unscrewing the top and the little sliding doors on the top and at the side mean you likely won't fill it with anything too big and also you can adjust them to make the treats more or less tricky to come out.I got the small one for our lab as it was firstly cheaper but also she probably wouldn't need the large one as I only give her a handful of treats at a time anyway. It's perfect for her.Our older ridgeback, however, also wanted to play with it, but due to the style of it,she could easily pick it up at the cap and throw it! It wouldn't be any concern the Bob-a-lot would break, but more likely our tiles or laminate! So I order her a cheaper alternative one that is egg-shaped. She cannot pick that one up :)

Mu husband and I absolutely love this toy! It has really changed how our dog acts when it's time for us to leave the house. He now knows he's going to get a treat and he'll have to work for it. We've left it on the easiest setting for about a month because we don't want our dog to get discouraged, but in the near future we'll probably try shutting the little door a bit to make it slightly harder. At the moment it takes him about 20 minutes - 30 minutes to get the food out. It keeps him motivated and interested and most of all it prevents that sad face we used to get when we have to go out for a while! As a bonus our dog absolutely loves playing with the yellow lid!He loves chewing on it and throwing it up in the air on its own, so for us it was like getting 2 toys in one. Good value for money and would not hesitate to recommend of buy another one if need be.

My dog absolutely loved this, unfortunately so much that after just a week it is virtually destroyed. First he chewed the yellow top so much that bits kept falling off it, then it split completely. The toy was still serviceable without the top but within hours he had crushed the opening together so it can't be used for inserting treats. I am still using it, inserting treats through the slot they come out of but it's only a matter of time before I have to take it off him due to further damage. It is such a shame as this is a toy which really keeps him occupied for a decent amount of time. I particularly like the fact that you can adjust the width of the slot so varying the difficulty. If you have a dog who doesn't have a powerful jaw or isn't a chewer this is great but please, somebody, invent a toy which will stand up to a German Shepherd!

Although I bought the small version they are pretty big compared to what I expected. And they are quite heavy (but need to be to wobble). This slightly puts off one of my two dogs (both border terriers) as it bangs into her paws now and again, but the other dog loves to bash them around - and he really does batter it about. They can make a bit of noise on hard floors. These are small negatives. However, they are extremely durable and with a mixture of treat sizes in them it can take ages for the dogs to empty out all the treats - great for keeping them occupied when I leave them alone. I don't unscrew the top cap to fill them, I find that the worst designed part, just push the treats in the dispensing hole and then slide the door to leave a gap just big enough to empty out the treats with a bit of work. I'm happy that I bought these.

Summary:-Strong, sturdy, durable-Good design-Safe-Long-lasting entertainment-Best canine puzzle toy I haveThis is my boxer dog's absolute FAVOURITE puzzle toy. It is very strong and sturdy. He picks it up and throws it, sometimes gnaws at it with frustration. We've had it for 1 year, and it only has a few teeth marks. No small parts to ingest.I don't feel a need to supervise him while he plays with it.Also, it doesn't tend to get stuck under chairs/tables, etc like his ball-shaped puzzle toys because it doesn't roll. Definitely a bonus! Highly recommend! It has 2 compartments- upper and lower. This means it takes longer for him to get out all the treats.Plus you can adjust the size of the two holes the treats fall through (from upper to lower compartment, and from lower compartment to the floor, respectively).

This is a really durable toy, proper solid plastic and easy to use. My dog isn’t ‘a chewer’ so I don’t know how long it would last in the jaws of a persistent chewer.... she has regular rubber toys (no need for a Kong branded chew toy) so I expected this to be OK for her. However, I think my elderly, deaf dog (a staffy) is a bit to old and dumb to understand how this toy works... because she is deaf, she can’t hear the treats rolling around inside and therefore has not grasped that the treats come from INSIDE the ball, and are not hidden underneath it. I hoped it would give her something to do to engage her brain while I’m working from home, but she sadly lost interest as soon as the treats weren’t immediately available to her.Her preferred method of getting treats is just to bark at the treat cupboard until I yield ?

Nothing keeps a 11 week Bearded Collie puppy occupied for long - but this toy keeps him occupied for the longest. There are many good similar toys on the market, I have to say this is an absolute stand out best. No sharp edges, very safe for puppy, top quality in design and construction. Fill from the top with small kibble or small treats, as puppy or dog gets more proficient close the gap in the front and at the side so it's small enough not to get the food out too quickly, but not so hard he gets frustrated. You will have to stand the noise and bumps against the furniture as he frantically rolls the toy every which way, but to me it's worth it. Christmas is coming,I suggest this would make an ideal Christmas present for your dog - again, an absolutely great dog toy, well done to the makers!

Bought this to give my pup a little more stimulation at feeding times. Dogs are naturally scavengers so shoving lots of food in bowl and putting it on the floor isnt much of a challenge. After reading the hype i went for this and if truth be told i was a little nervous he would get bored of it very quickly. However, after the first meal in which i showed him how it works, he figured it out himself and now eats every meal from it. On the harder setting, it keeps him engaged for around 25 minutes. Some dogs might need a little nudge in working out how it works (if your dog is a bit like this then I recommend using the easy setting while you show them how it works)but our dachshund picked it up in 5 minutes and now gets very excited when he sees it being put in his playpen.
